Yes, you can. Just make sure to get off of the stage in the same post so the next person can do their thing. Feel free to puppet around NP Cs to help with props or assist the character with their antics as well.

@tvtropesnoob: I know the feeling. (Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean.)

I've been keeping track of what's happening in Nemesis. But I can never figure out what I should say/do, so I end up dong long silences.

What is this "signature" of which people speak?

BTW, this is how Auriel's voice sounds if you're curious. It is distinctively non-human, at the very least.

And thus the apocalypse finally begins. Feel free to mow down the weakened Turok-hans and the tentacles and show off your skills as long as your characters are at least having to put in a bit of effort. XD

Sorry about the lack of Renaissance posting. I've been having some medical problems again. If I can't get something up tonight, I will tomorrow.

I've been mulling over this for a little while, as anyone who's in the Skype chat probably knows, and I've ultimately made a decision.

I'm going to drop out of Terminus. For a number of reasons, I just haven't been feeling the thread lately.

For one, I don't feel as if I've been writing either of my characters very well. Despite the fact I haven't been playing him very long, I'm finding the Judge to be laborious rather than enjoyable to write for, as he's not coming very naturally to me. Lillie's much easier to write for, but...I don't feel I've been doing a very good job with her either. Most notably, I don't think I've been doing a very good job of showing that she's still suspicious of Lusamine; to me, it feels like more that she's Easily Forgiven her.

Speaking of which, while Lusamine's presence was a good reason why I chose Lillie over any other character, I've also found that it's rather restrictive on me when the two logically are never going to be apart, at least if Lusamine can help it. Even with that, however, I've been trying to see if Lillie can connect with any of the other PCs. Which, unfortunately, leads me into the third reason, and quite possibly the biggest:

Term's current cast of characters just isn't very inspiring for me. Nobody feels like they really stand out to me. There's been shenanigans, but they've felt lacking. It also feels like there's a distinct lack of chemistry; none of the relationships that have formed really feel great to me and thus enjoyable to watch unfold. And so on. Something just feels like it's missing here, although I can't quite put my finger on what that might be.

It's not a bad RP. After all, it is what got me into AGOG, and for the most part I've been greatly enjoying being a part of it. Alas, my motivation's been running dry, and for that reason I feel it'd be better to leave for now rather than try and squeeze out constantly half-hearted posts and possibly hold the people who are still feeling it up.

I say "for now," and that's because I'm also considering waiting until the end of the current challenge, seeing if my inspiration returns, and then signing up as a new character for the next challenge and beyond. At the moment there's no one I'm feeling really thrilled to write for, but maybe that'll change between now and the time the current challenge ends.

As a notice to everyone, I probably won't be active for most of Ren for the coming month, as I'll be acting as the GM of a plot in AU. I just wanted everyone to be aware.

In Nemesis, I think there might be some confusion about the map because I am getting a bit confused myself at reading all these headers.

For reference, this is the map. Auriel and Four are in the "Lounge". And I believe that the bar where Nobu/Tira/everyone was at is the Kitchen.

Alcone, I have to admit, I'm very very confused right now. Exactly how in the world is Flowey making a vine come out of the ceiling, of all places?

Well, my logic is that he can extend his vines far enough underground to actually cross the parts where the wall meet the floor and where they meet the ceiling. It is shown in the game that they are really freaking long and there is even a moment where make one sprout horizontally.

That....doesen't make any sense to me at all. I'm sorry, no, even if that does somehow work, you can't make them that big. Edit out any mention of these things and let me know here once you do

I'm not sure what's not to get? If he has a limit let's say 20 feet, then 20 feet is 20 feet. The ground is probably tougher than the floor or ceiling as space is normally left inside for cables so assuming he can tunnel through the ground in the house he could tunnel up through the walls or ceiling. Whether or not he could poke out of the ceiling would be a matter of how close he is to the wall, how far he can go, and how tall the room is. Presumably this also takes time and his body language gives off that he is putting out effort.

With the announcement that third characters can be a thing in Ren, I've decided to put this challenge up. I has plans that have been brewing for a bit.

Now this being the first time I've put up a challenge ever, I'm not familiar with the challenge choosing process, so I've decided to put it here instead of just dumping it in the Google Doc. If I get the approval to, I'll put it up there for future consideration.

  • Name of Challenge: Blood in the Dust
  • Challenge GM: Latverian Badger
  • Suggested by: Latverian Badger
  • Game: Renaissance
  • Setting: Guilty Gear
  • Premise:
    • The war between man and its creation; the Gears, has raged on without letting up. With settlements all over the globe being lost, casualties in the millions, the Gears in control of half of the planet, the Gear leader Justice's whereabouts being unknown, and the one man who could've turned the tide dead and buried, Holy Order Commander Leo Whitefang spends all of his days at his wit's end. As the current leader of humanity's defensive against the Gears, he has massive boots to fill after the likes of Kliff Undersn and Ky Kiske. All things considered, he's done a good job of not breaking, but nothing has prepared him for what happens in a skirmish in Australia.
    • An emergency distress signal is sent to his base of operations in Paris stating that a regiment of Gears led by Dizzy, Justice's very own daughter and prospective vice commander and successor, is effortlessly cutting a swathe through Australia's stationed Holy Order forces and several civilian settlements, coming ever closer to the Holy Order's last bastion in Australia.
    • Disturbed by the sheer power demonstrated by Dizzy (as if a second Justice had appeared), Leo lent his presence to Australia's forces, intending to kill Dizzy in order to drive the enemy back. They skirmish, and in the midst of their battle, Rook appears out of nowhere. Forced to defend herself from the Gears who recognize her as a human, she manages to help shift the favor of the battle to the Holy Order. That is, until Dizzy manages to forcefully pilfer parts of Rook’s technology. It doesn't react well to her magical nature, and she undergoes a violent transformation, a moment during which Rook conveniently chooses to abscond.
    • The now berserk Dizzy, with the piece of technology apparently absorbed into her, rampages, killing friend and foe alike, her power enough to level the entire battlefield. Witnesses say she gained the ability to utilize some sort of teleportation in this new form, tearing open portals into some other realm and coming out of another. Leo and what Holy Order survivors remain are holding the line, attempting to prevent her from reaching the last bastion, but they could use a little help.
  • Special Rules: In this challenge, the Alternates work together to face a single, ungodly powerful enemy, one that will stalk them throughout the ruins of the Australian warzone and can teleport anywhere she wishes. Assisting Leo and any other survivors serve as bonus objectives that may earn the Alternates allies.
  • Win Condition/Fail Condition: The Alternates' goal is to retrieve the piece of technology from Dizzy. They lose if Dizzy makes a getaway.
  • How does this fit the game?: The piece of tech may have Rook's fingerprints all over it, and may give clues to her whereabouts. Her teleporting capabilities, as well as the nature of the world and its ties to the Backyard (a parallel dimension of sorts) lend to the possibility of it possessing the ability to open dimensional rifts, and the possibility of it being able to seal said dimensional rifts.

Heads up, everyone. Got some bad news to tell. My laptop just got stolen today(and with that, my sole access to this place besides my phone, which is how I'm currently writing this post, and lab computers, which is only available during class hours). Henceforth, until I could by some miracle get it back a few days after filing a police report(unlikely, but I'm still holding out a bit of hope) or get a new lappy, assume that my posing rate would be severely affected

Sorry for the inconveniece caused >_<
