Canon? Mr. Buu, or Mark.
Abridged? Super Kami Guru.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatCanon Kid Buu (gigglingly insane, evil, he even slept before the final battle)
Abridged... I'd have to go with Trunks. The first time Bulma hit on him and he started screaming inside his own head, I oculdn't tell whether he was actually attracted to her, but knew it was wrong, or knew it was wrong, and was absolutely horrified that his mother was like that. And that's made even their briefest scenes together a wonderful, Running Gag.
Bulma's realization of this is this show's Crowning Moment Of Funny for me.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).So mine is:
Abridged: Nappa, Vegeta, or Guru (Goku's a runner-up).
Canon: Vegeta.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseAbridged: Piccolo. Canon: Future Trunks.
One of the easiest choices I've made ever.

This is actually hard for me.
Abridged: Goku. I can almost never stand the Idiot Hero archetype, but Abridged Goku makes it work by contradicting Tropic Thunder and going Full Retard. His mind-numbing stupidity makes his good-natured personality feel very sincere. He wears his heart on his sleeve because he's too stupid to do anything but; for better or ill, when Goku says something, you know that he believes it wholeheartedly, whether it's something as idiotic as buying into Vegeta's sarcastic remarks, or something as heroic as daring Frieza, "I'm gonna deck you in the schnoz."
Vegeta was a close second for his frequent role as the Only Sane Man, disgusted by the world he lives in and the people he is forced to interact with.
Canon: I haven't thought about this in a long time. As a kid, Vegeta was my favorite character because I thought he was really cool, but as an adult, I've become more observant of the fact that Vegeta is a belligerent, self-involved, egotistical dipshit whose desperate need to prove that his dick is bigger than everybody else's frequently causes more harm than good.
I think I'm going to go with Piccolo. I have a soft spot in my heart for the bonds of a parent and child, and it really touches me the way that training Gohan slowly turned into fathering him, and melted the heart of the embodiment of pure evil himself. Gohan and Piccolo's relationship is, in my opinion, one of the best things in the entire franchise.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Canon would be Gotenks, and Abridged, if I had to pick just one, would probably be Piccolo.
Which probably means I'm gonna love the comedy duo act once DBZA gets to it.

Thank you for this.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyTobias, I have so much respect for you right now. That is pretty much my view on canon Vegeta.

Guys its... that really isn't anything new. Vegeta was a villain from the beginning anyway.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I like most of the characters in the series so it's tough for me to decide which of them are the absolute ones I like the best, but to think about it... it's also kind of funny - my favorite characters in canon (Piccolo, Krillin and Cell, not in any particular order) turned out to be my favorites in Abridged (though we haven't seen a lot of Cell yet, he's already shaping up to be really interesting), sometimes for the same reasons, sometimes for very different ones.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Abridged:I like most of them, but my absolute top three so far are Frieza, Nappa, and Vegeta
Canon: Gohan and Piccolo.
Here is an interesting fact relating to KaiserNeko. The background music he used in his Lupin III Abridged series was from the original (not the Di C dub) Sailor Moon soundtrack. Because of that, every time I watch the Sailor Moon subs on Hulu, I keep expecting Kaiser's Lupin voice to come on when I hear certain musical cues.

Just realized the link I posted earlier doesn't work. So....here's one that does. If anyone cares.
My various fanfics. No one else likes Abridged!Nail as one of their favorites?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyNail works best as the straight man to Guru. Which just adds to Guru's humor. Which makes him even more so everyone's favorite.
My various fanfics.I like that when he's away from Guru, he's allowed to be himself: a dork and a troll. He plays off of Piccolo well, too.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYeah, I can agree with that. The interaction between Vegeta and Nail made me REALLY mad that they never had a fight.
My various fanfics.I do really like Abridged Nail - I think he's a lot funnier now than when he was with Guru, since he's a bit more than the extension of the Guru joke now (my favorite Nail moment in the Namek saga was the Freeza fight), but he's still kind of a running joke attached to Piccolo now instead (even if he does have a bit more autonomy).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think my favourite Abridged character is probably Frieza. He's just the right mix of goofy and then pants-shittingly terrifying.
Favourite canon character is probably Goku because I'm boring like that.
Abridged Freezer shines when he plays off of Goku. Their interactions were the best part of Namek; even better than Super Kami Guru.
Also, out of all the voices, I think his is my favorite. Little Kuriboh did an excellent job with the guy.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I remember, Masako X and Little Kuriboh did a panel together. One of my favorite parts was when a fan challenged them to have a staring contest as Goku and Freeza.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987To add, what was your favorite line from all of the episodes?
And from the films?
-
From the episodes, I'd say when Vegeta fought 19.
"(takes a blow to the face) Hmm... what a shame. Looks like you just initiated your self-destruct sequence. Let me give you a countdown."
-
From the films, I'd say Master Roshi from the original Dr. Wheelo Abridged:
"Okay everyone, here's the plan. Goku, Krillin. You two and me, KAMEHAMEHA. Gohan, you stand there and look terrified. Ready? Break!"

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
A tie between abridged Freezer, Nappa and Guru, and for the canon...I'll go with Goku, though the Pilaf gang were pretty hilarious, and Yamcha fails so much that by the Android saga, it became funny.
