It's on the "we put together a library of a couple thousand songs and hit shuffle" radio station pretty often here.

When I was a youngling, MTV played music and the rural stations played videos after hours. We had a top 40 radio station in town before the new manager decided to turn it to country. That's okay because the bigger NM stations still played top 40's - until the summer atmo would play havoc with the signal. We never got cable until The '90s - and they had much music.

Man for the days of MTV being more about music and music videos.

Guys, it's been a stressful couple of weeks.

Good: Graduated, started work as a game tester at one of the best companies in the industry

Bad: Broke up with Partner, Rocky cast is continuing to explode, D&D group is in limbo.

As for the rest. Yeah that is a bit of a soggy shit sandwich but at least you have some good stuff to balance it out with.

I have a three hundred dollar check in my pocket. I have my regular payday later this week. But I've only got a third of what I need to pay my cellular bill in my bank account, which is the only place it counts. It was due on Fruday, and I'm going to lose service for a while tomorrow unless the credit union near where I work that opens their drive-up window at 7 will take a shared branch deposit at the window. The place with the late drive-up I booked it to once I received the check does not, for security reasons. I don't see what's so insecure about taking my ID, the zip code associated with the account, and depositing a check.

Why are banks so worried about people maliciously dropping money in other people's accounts? If a stranger had a desperate need to put money in my bank account, I'd say go ahead.

Well some dick head has been constantly robbing cars in my apartment complex in the day time and morning time. They hit my car today. Carefully rifled through my car, unlocked my trunk and went through my work bag in back and stole my kindle. So I had to de-register it and report it stolen. Good luck to anyone dumb enough to buy said stolen kindle as the minute it is connected to anything with net it will wipe it self and then lock itself out.

And the likely culprit has been caught. Omaha PD raided an apartment in the local hive of scum and villainy next door and found an apartment filled to the gills with stolen property.

I might indeed. I was not expecting them to have tip on this bozo and to catch. I am guessing he got too big for britches and got seen a few times and turned over to the cops.

As I said, I was really hoping that that check I put in my account first thing in the morning would clear in time to get my cellular bill paid. I've never seen a check take this long to clear.

But as that payment couldn't go through, I still had about 25 dollars left of "available balance", and figured since I get my regular automatic deposit tomorrow, I may as well let myself use it. However, to add insult to injury, I checked the available balance just before going home for the night and saw that I definitely had enough to get Little Caesar's. But when I swiped my card, the cashier said, "so will the other three and change be cash?"

Holy fuck, I'm so damned tired of working in receiving after these past several weeks I'm damn near ready to just walk off the job and say "fuck it."

But I don't want to waste the three remaining paid days off I have nor do I want a black mark on my employment history. Upside is I get several days in dairy the next couple weeks.

Just saw the Dark Tower trailer and I am stoked. Add yet another movie to my list.

So that makes three. Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Wonder Woman, and now Dark Tower.

I've been pretty content with my job, but a recruiter contacted me wanting to see if I'd look at other options (not that kind of recruiter Mark, Tuef, Maira).

I'm kind of torn between my loyalty to my boss (even if the jobsite is a crazy joint) or a chance to get something new.

Well it wouldn't hurt to consider other options and see what they are offering. You can always say no.
