Black widow is very useful, because most of the human enemies are male.
Being a Black Widow woman or a gay man gives you an advantage.

I'm just imagining the courier running around sleeping with as many dangerous men, women or things as possible for the sake of it.
Everyone keeps asking her "Did you really sneak through a deathclaw encampment in your skivvies just to flirt with the Great Kahns?" and the like.
Bleye knows Sabers. And then I found out about that robot your character can... enjoy.

As someone who just bought Fallout 4 (I already played it a lot on a friend's console) can confirm.
Bleye knows Sabers.I decided to play Fallout 76 again after hating it when I started and rage quitting (which I almost never do).
I've since played continuously with almost no sleep.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Been contemplating playing Fallout 76 ever since its Steam discount is now at 80% but does it require a monthly subscription?
No.
You can buy a subscription for free premium bucks. But all gameplay content is free.
#IceBearForPresidentOk thanks for the clarification. Been needing to play a new game in-between build times and reputation caps in Warframe.

76 just isn't for me. I'm not going to say it's "bad", but finding something awesome like Power Armor only to see "You have to be level whatever to use this!" was very disappointing. And the return of weapon durability which I never cared for, plus limited storage space... no thanks.
I missed the part where that's my problem.IIRC the difference in earlier games is that you have to reach a certain point of exploration/narrative progression before you can do it. In 3 there was a perk called Power Armor Training.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).In Fallout 2 it was actually possible to get your hands on an Enclave Power Armour as early as level 1, but you needed to be very lucky and know where to head off. Otherwise following the logical progression of the game meant you would begin to find power armours around levels 12-15 at the earliest.
You need to tailor a character for that, with specialisation in Outdoorsman and maxed Luck. And then after that the game loses some of its interest if you try resuming the normal progression since most fights have become ridiculously easy.

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Regarding getting Enclave Powered early in Fallout 2, ya save-scumming dozens of times for every few feet of overmap movement while praying that you don't run into a guaranteed lethal random encounter was not fun at all.
For the love of all, is there a guide out there for playing Fallout 1 and 2. I have the Steam versions but actually moving my character around and navigating the menus was aggravating.
I was told once never use the prebuilt characters. Beyond that, actually making a character that can survive or accomplish anything felt impossible.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Yeah, Fallout 1 and 2 have aged BADLY. I used a prebuilt character for 2, the charisma talking lady one.
Sorry, I had to learn shit through trial and error. No guides helped me out.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.x5 It could be disappointing getting Power Armor early and not being able to use it, but the arbitrary level requirement feels much worse to me. It's not like you have a specific perk to unlock and now you have access to all power armor. Oh, and now that I remember it there are weapon levels too... I'm obviously no expert on the details, but the way it all worked out made the game feel very unrewarding to explore as opposed to grinding. Enough to put me off it.

I missed the part where that's my problem.Despite the ancient graphics, Fallout 1 and 2's Bloody Mess deaths were more fun than the 3D games' more generic dismemberment. I recall being able to recreate Kenshiro in Fallout 2 especially at higher levels w/ maxed out Action Boy perks and the Slayer perk. Though I still had to don Enclave Power Armor and a Mega Powerfist when patroling Enclave or Super Mutant-heavy areas.
I have no interest in 76. While I do love the look of the setting I'm just not interested in playing a game that works to compel me to play.
Play Every Day is the mind killer.
They where proud enough of the violent deaths to give us the bloody mess perk in the first place.

Bleye knows Sabers.x5
Google up Per Jorner's guides. Bit outdated, but very good.
Yeah, I got introduced to the setting by New Vegas. I tried playing Fallout 1 but for the life of me did I find the gameplay impossibly dull, at least in the early section of the game.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"My favourite is Fallout 2. I never managed to play 1 more than once, but I finished 2 at least 3 or 4 times (and started it at least twice as much). Maybe the nostalgia factor is at play here, but I was never very interested in the sequels, except for NV (which I never finished due to my computer expiring).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Fallout 1 has the least replay potential out of the numbered titles. There's nothing like, say, Reno in 2 where you have multiple questlines similar to NV's main quest.
I love fallout 1,but I hated fallout 2 due to the game breaking bugs being EVERYWHERE!
New theme music also a boxWhy do you think the Restoration Patch exists?
The fanbase has a good record of fixing everything the devs didn't, all the way until 76 which isn't open to modding and is therefore still buggy.

My Courier was originally a fairly generic, nice hero. I picked Black Widow because of the bonuses. Then I saw the option to seduce Benny. Then I saw the option to not kill him, and just stay there, sleeping together. I utterly failed my mission to take the Platinum Chip, but succeeded in creating an ultra-horny femme fatale, minus the fatale.
Being gay is great gameplay wise (weird sentence when taken out of context) but does mean you can't seduce Benny. And if you can't seduce Benny, what's the point of playing?
