Maybe it's because while may not be as powerful as Kenpachi, she's a lot more inclined to cause prolonged intense pain (instead of just tyring to kill her target) than him. Now, imagine if it turns out that Yachiru also has a Bankai already. Good contrast with "Ken-chan" who can't even use Shikai properly.

Yup...why else is the caption Third Magician when she's the only person (in theory) who can use Third Magic: Embodiment of the Soul...*ahem* back to topic, yes, I would think she can use Bankai. It would really be something to see - one of those Stern Ritter saying how annoying it is to kill trash when Yachiru flashes by their head saying they shouldn't underestimate her. The Stern Ritter whirls around in time to see Yachiru draw her sword and say Bankai...

Oh well, we all have our opinions...

Very funny...but no. It would make no sense at all, especially since Kenpachi is a Special War Power - if he were a zanpakutou spirit, then the easiest way to defeat him would be to kill Yachiru, who should be the Special War Power instead of Kenpachi.

Lol. Renji a captain! Also, all the honorifics and the brat comparison.

Man, there was a brief brief brief phase when I liked the honorifics in Bleach... sigh.

But anyway, that fanfic... so fanfic-y.

Also, Kenny had a life before Yachiru and named her after someone he met. They could be false memories but that hadn't become a thing until Tsukishima so it's really really unlikely.

I don't know if I'd like her to become adult. That would be too copy-pasta of Nel (which some people claim was copy-pasta of Yoruichi and I'm like wut, she was a cat dude).

If she just kicked major ass as small child Yachiru that would be alright.

Yachiru getting an adult form would be boring.

It would be much better to see the little moe blob killing things while being moe rather than being Nel 2.0.

... What if Yachiru is the reverse of Nel? That is, she's actually reached adult age and form a long time ago — at some point before she and Kenpachi arrived into the Gotei 13 — and simply adopts a child form on purpose for power conservation and because "I'm much cuter this way, and I can get away with a lot more mischief and mayhem if everyone else thinks I'm just a kid!"

Forgot about this. Ikkaku is about as Captain-level as Renji is.

Ikkaku (but mostly Renji) are the prime examples of why just having bankai doesn't qualify you for being captain.

Ikkaku is arguably worse. Renji had the excuse that he still hadn't mastered his Bankai to the degree the Captains had, but Ikkaku had his for years.

Cru, that is an insult to Renji. Sadly. Ikkaku is worse than he is.

Ikkaku really is quite bad. He has a Bankai yet he's probably still weaker than some of the other lieutenants.

This is so true and so profoundly depressing.
