I bet that sometime between now and then one or all of them will figure out that they're talking about the same goblins.
Man, this thread aged a lot. I guess it's because of the generally slow pace of the comic.
Anyway, the action has been ramping up lately, and as of today, it's become apparent that Saves-A-Fox has a fairly decent Strength score.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's sad that it's been three months and we haven't finished one scene. Thunt draws slooooooow.
Damn to hell whoever made this thread bump up. I just binged the entire thing!

Really, binging Goblins is the best way to get the story. It moves too damn slowly to follow it one page at a time.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"...-reads thread-...
...
You mean it doesn't even update quickly?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
-shakes fist at Fighteer-
This means war!
New User HandleIt uploads once a week. Yeah, good luck with the waiting. Action sequence (like the current one) are the worse, to me.
That's not too bad, actually.
Now that I am done swearing vengeance against a mod (), I guess I should give some opinions I have on this-
- DAMN this guy likes to kill characters off. He actually does it in a way that doesn't make me roll my eyes.
- His girl characters are kinda meh to me. Mainly because of those weirdo lips he gives them. I did like the snake one (horrible with names) once she put on the purple jacket though.
- The dragon is my favorite character. The whole thing with Noe was a CMOA and a CMOF all in one.
Those are Kin (the Yuan-ti) and K'seliss (the ogre/lizardman), respectively. And yes, K'seliss' method of dealing with Noe is awesome, and a triumphant example of Cutting the Knot.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It updates once a week? I assume that's the pre-schedule slip estimate?
I do have a question though. My knowledge of DND comes from webcomics. And I was unaware goblins could not have specialties. I always assumed they could since in Order of the Stick, there was a goblin priest...
New User HandleJust because they don't automatically have specialties doesn't mean the DM isn't god.
Thunt, the author, is using a heavily houseruled D&D setting. However, there's nothing in canonical D&D that says that goblins - or any humanoid for that matter - can't take class levels.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I think the whole 'taking classes is unusual' is just a way to show that goblins and other monsters are generally threated as walking XP by 'players'.
Don't actually tell Thunt you are getting impatient, he has a tendency to get snappy.
Also, haha K'seliess was Caught with Your Pants Down.

They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifeBetween this comic and Order Of The Stick I have a strong urge to start playing Dn D myself.

New User Handle^^ OOTS actually did get me playing DND.
^^^ You mean "Caught with his frill up"
I have a message from another time...@Brickman Lately it has been once a week pretty much consistently. Not always the same day of the week, though.
Yeah, at least it's bettar about schedules than Captain SNES.
...it really sucks when the good comics never update.
I have a message from another time...I read this comic for a good chunk of 2008. I dropped it due to the massive schedule slip, and pretty much totally forgot about it. Then I saw this thread, and went on a mini archive binge. The story's still strong, though the fact that it hasn't advanced a full day in nearly two years is rather distressing. With Heatth's assurances in mind though, I'm going to try reading it regularly again.
Well... crap.
That's a depressing subversion of Screw Destiny
I was really, really expecting him to add something to the effect of "Also, you're still wearing it". But I guess that's not even really needed, because the truth is far, far crueler than the obvious wordplay we all thought she'd fallen victim to.
Hmm, He might have a horrible death, but nobody said it won't be a Heroic Sacrifice. The chance that Thunt will drop a bridge on Dies is very low at this point.

The fact that the artifact stays behind after being used seems convenient: they can use it, and she'll still have it. But I bet some sort of Friend-or-Idol Decision will still be invoked somehow.
