Who remembers this?
This here is nothing short of epic.
Live instruments!
I just realised how similar the Battlefield 3 Premium Soundtrack's Signing Off (the End Game expansion theme):
is similar to the game's main theme. Or is that just me?

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI'm one of those weird people who had 70% of their phone/music player filled with game or game related music...
Though said phone had a hazard ages ago and I forgot where I got most of it.
Moved handles because mehi'm the same way now, mostly. there was a time where i had more music elsewhere but i'm too lazy to look for new artists right now.
The same goes here. Actually, Craig Hardgrove's remakes of the Marathon soundtrack are the only music on my phone at the moment.

Gotta love jazz in video games.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So, through basically six degrees of separation with Pokemon Shuffle, I happened across the soundtrack of Keio Flying Squadron, which was composed by Tsukasa Tawada, the composer for both Shuffle and the Pokemon Colosseum subseries. Never heard of the game before now, but I'm highly enjoying its music. This track in particular has been sticking in my head (though, granted, I still haven't listened to the whole soundtrack yet, so it may get replaced in my head):
Let me rep "Batman: Cleaning Out Axis" (OC Remix) as one of my favorite video game BGM remixes.

This is from the second level of the NES Batman video game. This remix, you might not only hear some nods to the theme from the classic Adam West Batman show, but with the style and presentation, you might be excused if you mistook this tune as that show's credits song.

Besides this, I've recently added the Black Mages' Clash on the Big Bridge (FF 5) and Smithy's first battle theme from Super Mario RPG to my playlist.
My Deviant Art account. There might be art there. Sometimes.Been searching for this theme from Super Robot Wars OG. Between the already awesome mech themes, is this epic map event theme. A shame that I can't keep it playing in attacks.
Bringing this one back just to point out that David Wise of Donkey Kong Country fame was even doing his thing for shovelware way back in the late 80s and the dawn of the 90s.

This was the demo disc that came with the PlayStation when it was launched in Europe in 1995. Top stuff.
That explains why that game's music was oddly decent.
Say what you will about the gameplay, but for a Mega Man clone, Rosenkreuzstilette has a great soundtrack.
Unfortunately it plays in a boss that makes the Mecha Dragon from Mega Man 2 look like a chump with a large bar of health and tricky platforms, so you'll likely die before it loops.
And here we are with yet another winter.
The chiptune version really helps notice the guitar and drums which tend to get drowned out in a lot of Anamanaguchi's earlier material, good as it is.
Recently I've been playing some of the early Ys titles and Persona 3 Portable, so their music tends to stick. Particularly playing the Female Protagonist, her battle theme gets played a lot. Just wish it was longer.
Also Palace of Destruction from the Turbografx-CD port is way too good for a first dungeon.

I've been captured by Life Is Strange.
It's such a calming game. Pure aural bliss right here. I wish I'd played this when it came out.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!"Jump Up, Super Star!", from Super Mario Odyssey. The game isn't even out yet and I can't stop listening to it.

I like to listen to game music while I work on art stuff, so I usually try to find extended versions of themes that fit the mood I'm going for. I find 30-minute ones to be ideal, but depending on the game, that's not always feasible (looking at you, Spyro).
Here's a track from Terraria. The Journey's End update introduced thunderstorms, complete with a unique track that ended up being one of my favorites.
So they compose these incredibly hype Killer Instinct throwback remixes. You'd think they'd be unlockable or play at random or something, right?
Wrong. You have to stand around and do nothing to hear them. If either player moves, the normal stage music kicks back in.
