Also, one of the anime girls shown off in that video is based on a real person, so that's pretty skeevy of them.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics. The reason he got all of his funding is because he promised to build an AI in the future that would create exact replicas of anyone who didn't support him to be tortured for all eternity.
(And yes, I already made this joke in the Youtube comment section.)
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics. It's funny, because I've been toying with the idea of liveblogging that Methods of Rationality fanfic recently.
Fanfiction I hate.Oh, yes, that. I think I quit reading around the point where Hermione gets super into feminism out of nowhere.

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics. You should definitely look up pictures of the finished bus. This article has a picture of the bus with the robot!
Pro-feminist anvil or anti-feminist anvil?
Fanfiction I hate.Wow, that article reads like it was written by someone who's been brainwashed.
And one of its tags is Ferguson? Stay classy, HuffPo.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Pro, if I'm remembering right. I mean, I'm a bit of a liberal feminist myself, but, c'mon, you can't just grind your story to a screeching halt to deliver a heavy-handed aesop that contributes nothing to the plot and comes out of nowhere with no buildup or foreshadowing.
But at least Hermione was given one of the more flattering depictions in the story though I think she gets fridged by the bathroom troll in this version). Characters like Hagrid and Ron had their roles drastically reduced or got insulted by the Mary Sue Author Avatar because they were "useless." Apparently Less Wrong has trouble wrapping his head around the idea that a character might be important because of their emotional impact on the main protagonist.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.Honestly, I don't know why you're surprised by that.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I think what really frustrates me about this rationalist stuff is that it starts out ostensibly being about viewing the world from an objective, logical point of view, which would be fine except that the rationalists start getting all overexcited about how immortality is totally possible within our lifetime and time-traveling AI will totally torture you for eternity if you don't help bring it about. Which is ironically Not So Different from all the organized religions that these people hate so much...
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.Again, you seem surprised.
It's one extreme over another. *shrug* Not worth getting worked up about, especially when they pretty much stay in their own sphere and are easy to ignore (as opposed to the huge trend it was a couple years back).
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Oh, I'm not surprised. The Retsupurae video just reminded me that these people exist.
I mean, don't get me wrong, if the "immortality bus guy" actually does discover immortality or at least a way to combat aging or whatever, that'd be cool. But let's just say I'm less than optimistic about that actually happening.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.Lazy MacGyver's married life begins now!
I'm betting on a cancer twist by the end of this set of chapters, or at least by the end of the game.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I swear I've seen slowbeef playing this game before.
[looks it up]
...OH MY GOD IT'S THIS GAME.
Yeah, uh, you're in for a treat with the fourth story. It's on slowbeef's channel if you want to spoil yourself, but otherwise, just trust me on this.
Moon◊Huh, I'm subscribed to him and never saw it in my subscriptions. I'm intrigued.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.It was back in 2013. He did a livestream of it with Diabetus, Tie Tuesday and... I think Pullahoko?
Anyway, they got through a good chunk of the game that night. Apparently copious amounts of hammers were involved, to the point of becoming a running joke.
That said, the framerate was terrible for whatever iOS-mirroring software slowbeef was using, which I see isn't the case with the Wrongpurae, so that's good. Not like this is the first time a slowbeef stream turned into a Wrongpurae, either; Sonic 2006 is a notable example, and the Aliens arcade game is another instance of it happening.
Moon◊I liked the soundtrack enough that I'm listening to it now. Does that title image not put the episodes in left-to-right order, or did Retsupurae skip "Memory of Murder"?
Indeed. The only flaw with their Sonic 2006 WP was a severe lack of MegaJose yelling at beef while Proton Jon just kinda shakes his head a bit.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Ha, I'd forgotten about that!
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. While this goes outside the usual bounds of Kickstarter Non-Starters, I would LOVE if they did a video on the now-infamous Peachy Printer debacle. For those non familiar, start with this update and subsequent ones. Be SURE to watch the actual videos. It's something that makes you unsure if it's a scam, a bizarre piece of performance art or a guy reacting to being betrayed by a business partner in the most overly dramatic, Not Helping Your Case manner POSSIBLE.
Is this going to be a series? Dahir Insaat's repetitious 3D animations of insane inventions that could never work as depicted?
For what it's worth, at least they're actually giving anyone who funds the Kickstarter the game, what with $1 getting you a Steam key. That's better than most projects (even better than most actually good projects).
From what I gathered from the comments, apparently the developer is infamous for making a Russian Hotline Miami knockoff that apparently uses uncredited assets from the original game.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.
