Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987...this game is taking logic and smashing it to bits further and further with each new part.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. Was I the only one embarrassed by the gratuitous religious references?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I was. I felt weird and uncomfortable by the end of it. And I'm religous. I can't imagine how it feels to others...I mean they're right. It became The Trapped Trilogy. And it's sorta unsettling.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyOne person in the comments of part 2 surmised that Gibson seems like he might be a fundamentalist. I honestly would not be shocked in the slightest after all this if that was true.
As a kind of religious person, I have to say, the gratuitous religious references are really grating. Especially when it seems like the writer has an axe to grind, like writing Angie's court testimony to sound like she's Richard Dawkins ("HIS SO-CALLED GOD LAWL").
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. The incredible part is that he's using a violent suicide bomber to portray an ideal man of faith in a struggle against the world. Ted really acts no better when he's not on that made-up drug, so that doesn't properly explain his behavior.
The Trapped Triology comparison is kinda funny, actually. The religious references in that amounted to "oh, here's a random Bible quote for no real reason", or something like that. They could easily be taken out, and it wouldn't really matter. But here, Ted's faith seems to be a major reason for why he's so crazy, and it's divine intervention that allows him to continue being a danger to everyone around him.
How do you fuck up that badly? I honestly thought he was denouncing religion at first, because of how unbelievably incompetent he is at getting his message across. The only reason I know that theory can't be right is that the narrative constantly tries to paint Ted as a sympathetic character.
I think this comment thread on the Part 12 video sums it up best:
Fuck this game.
Illogical, vapid, banal, asinine, repugnant, obnoxious, DEPLORABLE, DISGUSTING, REPREHENSIBLE, TRITE, IDIOCY!!!
Fuck whoever made this ludicrous series. With this incessant references to Christianity and the terrible depiction of Muslims, I'm starting to believe the creator of this game is a fundamentalist Christian. (7)

Given how the game mocks people who are religious and considers believing that a higher being interfering with your assured death with a one in a billion chance as being a sign that you are "insane".
I am going to say... No I don't think the creator of this is religious at all.

I think you may be misinterpreting who Michael Gibson wants you to sympathize with. (Hint: It's Ted) (19)
I was the same way. It seemed to be a denouncing of religion then Angie turned the events of Part 3 on its head...and my jaw dropped realizing what was going on. This part was when I ofically went like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyI'd like to point out that Gibson was attempting to make a violent religiously-motivated suicide bomber a sympathetic character in 2002. One year after 9/11.
Fuck is going ON in that guy's brain.
Kill all math nerdsDistant screaming Diabeetus is the funniest thing:
Also, General Ironicus trying not to crack up during his bit.
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."and Voidburger always gets me to laugh
I can't believe it worked out that way with him saying that at the 9 minute and 11th second.

You look happy, I can change that if you want.Is it wrong me and Slowbeef synchronized our WHAT after he said that?
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyWow, I was actually kinda getting bored with the Ambition videos but that sheer moment of brainscrewing more than made up for it.
...Never have I seen a game filled with more twisted logic than in an M.Dickie game.
...
I seriously can't wait for the next one.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)I hope they actually DO an M Dickie game next.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI thought ChipCheezum, General Ironicus and Daeren covered The You Testament and Hard Time fairly well. I'm not sure there's really any room for improvement there.
EDIT: Why is this classified as a visual novel...?
