This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

My mistake, I thought you were referring to the page titles. I think I understand the issues, I'll tone down the editing I'll do in the future, whenever the suspension is over, I mostly was trying to make sure I don't end up making similar errors and go through this all over again!

The best thing you can do is study How To Write An Example and pursue the various related articles, then look at some well-curated articles for examples of proper style. We have a lot of natter on the wiki; cleaning it up is everyone's obligation, especially since when you see a page done incorrectly, it encourages people to use it as an example.

All right, it seems I'm banned from editing for... well, being rather impulsive AND having big problems with Natter on top of that, elegantly said. Not going to go "it's not my fault" because, well, it's at least my responsability.

@Orihime: It seems you got into a little scuffle on YMMV.The Legend Of Korra. You and the other tropers involved were warned quite clearly to cut out the personal attacks and didn't stop. So here we are. Nothing is worth getting that worked up over. If someone is getting in your face about something, tell us via Ask The Tropers, do not respond in kind.
@bernkastel34: I think we need a form letter for this. You Natter, you use This Troper and otherwise write in first person, and apparently you don't know how to use capital letters. The wiki requires a consistent style and proper grammar from all its contributors. If you can't follow that style, we will remove your editing privileges.

I suppose that I took something too far. I guess that it was me Nattering too much when I am making edits, or it has something to do with the Bleach Die For Our Ship thread's discussion board.
Perhaps this suspension is a good thing. It gives me time off from editing on TV Tropes, and it also gives me time to cool down.

You're right about the Die for Our Ship bit. There is no call for getting personal with people on the wiki, and if you find yourself getting that angry, the proper response is to take a break, not escalate it.
Let me also say, from a purely personal point of view, that getting worked up over Shipping is one of the most juvenile things I can possibly imagine.

You are right that getting worked up over shipping is juvenile. I have tried to distance myself from it, and not care about what people say or think about pairings as a whole...but as I said, it's hard to kill off old habits.
I need a really long vacation from all of this.

Fighteer: You're totally right. I guess it's funny since I myself had decided to cut off my own behavior, but it was too late AND I also commited the mistake of just leaving w/o apologizing for my big part on it. I truly didn't know about Ask The Tropers, which is why I didn't go there, and re-checking the whole deal I should've really done that.
I can't speak for the people I've been harsh too since I'm not them and can't get into their own heads, so I'll just leave that here. I'm genuinely willing to tone down my behavior if I get my editing back and I humbly admit that I'm NOT innocent either, so... yeah. Looking back at it, I really sucked. =/a

I would have to guess its for the Awesome page on Naruto.
It started with small, sincere changes. Naruto has a tremendous fanbase, and as a result, a huge influx of people are walking in here to cheer about their favorite moments in the series. The backlog of "epic" "badass" "awesomeness" and "Holy Shit Quotient has been broken" comments was incredible.
To my understanding, the original Crowning Moment of Awesome trope had controversy because people were adding several examples, rather than giving a "crowning moment". When I looked at the discussion page for that trope, there were a few others complaining about the page in question as well. The Awesome/Naruto section was, by the time of the most recent arc, literally describing each and EVERY single action sequence that occurred.
There were so many examples they were literally going chapter by chapter. Wasn't the original problem "crowning moment" is supposed to be "a moment above the rest"? How is it above the rest when every moment is "above the rest?".
If I've taken that the wrong way and summarizing/replacing the wall of awesome moments was truly was the wrong way to go, then I apologize. I had a feeling make a tremendous change to a single in a short time would attract attention, but when I got to that World War tab, I heard a chainsaw revving in the background.

Summarizing the action scenes isn't a bad idea. However, you took the wrong approach. You deleted entire folders, such as the Hidan and Kakuzu arc, which goes against the subjective spirit of the page. If you must condense them, you can summarize chapters 545-560 as "X battle is awesome because of X reasons", but deleting entire separate entries for not being "awesome enough" is bad form.
And more importantly, your changes messed up the formatting. If you aren't familiar enough with the markup, you should refrain from large scale changes.

Was it from erasing the "/folder" with the []'s around them? I was worried something might happen with them, but when I deleted them, I didn't notice any substantial aesthetic differences. Blasted hindsight. My mistake.
Summarizing - everything in the "Shinobi World War Arc" folder? I could... give it a shot? You did see what the folder looked like, right? I wasn't kidding when I said they took every single action sequence, chapter by chapter, and used it to identify the trope. Would it just be easier to point out that the entire world war arc itself is awesome, and then bullet each battle?

I know what those folders look like. I made them and reorganised that page myself. 
I saw you had problems with the spoiler formatting. The markup is [[spoiler:some text]], not [spoiler:]. TV Tropes uses somewhat different markup than most wikis, so you'll need to understand Text-Formatting Rules.
Now, as for how to condense entries, here's an example:
- Chapter 541: Remember A's speed? Naruto can keep up with him now, even block his punches! And A admits Minato was faster than him.
- Chapter 543. Bee defeats his fully charged brother, despite not using his Tailed Beast at all, in a lariat clash and tells him how he's underestimated him for years, proving to A that Bee has genuinely surpassed him and A will let him and Naruto go and fight to save the day.
- A gets one too by holding off both Bee and Naruto for a considerable amount of time, countering Bee's tricks and Naruto's speed.
- Chapter 544: Ay acknowledging Naruto as the savior and allowing him to pass. Naruto finally proves to be the fastest alive, avoiding A's fastest attack using his Flash Step in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. This makes Naruto one of only two people to ever dodge A's best speed. The only other one, Minato, had mastery of a time-space jutsu that allowed him to teleport. Naruto did it through footspeed only.
These three separate points can easily become...
- In chapter 541, Naruto and Bee confront Ay and Tsunade so they can participate in the war. The battle is riddled with great moments, such as Naruto being able to keep up with Ay's speed and even block his punches, and Bee defeating his fully charged brother, despite not using his Tailed Beast at all, in a lariat clash. Ay then admits he's underestimated his brother for years, as Bee proves that he has genuinely surpassed him and Ay will let him and Naruto go and fight to save the day.

I typically do that, Rosebud was etc.. It was late last night, so if I did do that with unerring frequency, it must have been some massive mental loop induced by being on the computer at 1AM to 2AM. I've never made that kind of error before, and I was in the process of looking over different sections I'd changed before I was banned, so I'll try to be more careful of that.

Um, hi. I just found out my editing privilege was suspended. Since I don't know why… Hello ^_^ Why did I get suspended ? I mean, I am guessing the reason is because of some fanfics pages I recently worked on with a few friends, but I had no idea it was ban-worthy.

sagevallant: We have multiple issues here. Repair Dont Respond and Natter are one. The use of first person and This Troper are another. Last, bullet points are not paragraph breaks for elaboration. They exist for Example Indentation.

@Fighteer: We know that fully well, but we were adding pages for troll fanfictions. And even then, we were only sarcastic, not exactly bashing them. Our only purpose was to bring attention to other trolls than the classic Tara and the like. I'm pretty sure troll fictions have their places on here, and that their pages are full of snark.
But if you so desire we won't create any more pages for such trolls, and refrain from snarking when we edit the wiki.
When I say work titles, I mean properly italicizing the names of works when you use them in an example:
Names of full-length novels, films, TV series, comic book series, etc., go in italics. Names of short stories, short films, chapter and episode titles go in double quotes (" ").
