This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Discworld and Disney have their own namespaces to prevent name collisions. Harry Potter is a blunder created back when the namespace process wasn't very clear. It is being phased out.
Namespaces correspond to the medium of the work. Comic Book, Video Game, Film, etc. It's very rare that a franchise will have its own namespace, and it needs a good reason for that. Furthermore, you should never make up new namespaces on your own, especially when they're so narrow. Creating a new namespace requires discussion on the forums.
You are free, of course, to move works in the proper existing namespace. Most of what you moved was supposed to go under Comic Book.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerOkay, I see now. Your first request was not to have an argument over religion. Here, you're saying leave it out altogether. Understood. I agree to leave religion out of the discussion completely.
Edit: So, will my ban be lifted?

It was an honorYup.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI'm really really sorry if I did something wrong I'll try to improve
How long does suspension last?
Mew Lettuce Rush: Your capitalization and punctuation are poor. You also use This Troper and first person, neither of which are allowed on the wiki.
Matthewtheman: They don't have an expiration date. They get lifted when we are confident you won't repeat your mistakes again.
In your case, you have punctuation and capitalization problems while inserting natter and incorrect use of the term 'subversion' to support a certain pairing. The wiki is not here to push your favourite ship.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI will fix examples instead of use Natter, and I'll stop giving subversion examples altogether
What's the difference between a ban and a suspension
Oh yeah, and I will also use proper capitalization and punctuation.
I'm kind of confused. What did I do, exactly, to get suspended? Can I please edit again?

Do you have some kind of nanny software that turns the word "Nazi" into "Nutbunny?" If so, we don't allow that. When you run that kind of software it vandalizes all the pages you edit. If you were doing it intentionally, then cut it out.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ohhhh...sorry, I kinda discovered Fox Replace recently, and I thought it would make certain Internet discussions (ones invoking Godwin's Law, ones bringing up issues the people in question clearly have no understanding of, ones involving 50 Shades of Grey, etc.) more interesting. It's off now.
Huh. Shouldn't have been able to edit, actually. They must be doing something different from the other nanny-bots.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyOkay. I'll restore you. Be aware that if it happens again, we will permanently remove your editing privileges.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Namespaces correspond to the medium of the work. I see.
That seems counterintuitive to me. Batman is a comic book, no doubt about that. However, nothing I moved into the Batman/ namespace is a comic; they're all a bunch of storylines that are each a small (though significant) piece of the comic. If Batman is akin to a TV show, then the storylines I moved are akin to episodes of a show rather than shows themselves.
If they have to be forced into an existing namespace, it seems to me that Recap/ would be more appropriate than Comicbook/.
Ukrainian Red CrossAnd Recap/ is an existing, valid namespace that you are entirely welcome to put stuff in. Just don't make up namespaces without asking and expect that to fly.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I think I'm suspended for bashing. Either that, or for making a mistake when I tried to index. Nah, don't think it was the indexing.
And yes, I have read the rules.
I guess you think I'm a horrible person for what I said about Edwardz Lovah. The thing is, she's not actually real. I completely failed to make that clear in the article. I would never write such an article about a real person. This is a "trollsona" who writes intentionally weird crack fics with lots of shout-outs to My Immortal and Face the Strange. She has said from the start that Savanna is not her actual name, it's just "prettier then my reel one".
I'm very new to editing, so I may also have made some honest formatting mistakes. Thought I was actually being helpful, by helping a couple of my friends make pages for the cluster of new trollfics we discovered on DA.
Again, I'm sorry. I was stupid, and I do understand if I don't get my editing rights back, but I want you to know that I never meant to hurt any real people.
It doesn't matter whether it's real or not. TV Tropes will not be a party to your little trollfic bashing games. We are not a wiki for bashing things, as it says right on our homepage. If you want to go do that stuff, do it somewhere else.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"You are using the wiki to ridicule someone with whom you're having fights in other parts of the net. That's called drama importation and it is not allowed.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI understand. It's alright, you can ban me.
Before I go, I just want to say, we're not actually enemies. Both Edwardz Lovah and Adriana are people I know from other places online. The "fight" was meant to be in good fun. I don't like leaving misunderstandings lying around. Again, sorry.
Vampire Buddha, I'd strongly recommend that you not move comic storylines into the Recap namespace. This may be something to bring up in Wiki Talk, but the rule of thumb that I'd go by is if a particular storyline can be broken out and sold on its own, such as many Batman arcs like Knightfall, Hush, The Long Halloween, etc., it's considered a separate work that merits its own entry under the Comic Book namespace.
What'd I do?
Launching YKTTW drafts with awful formatting and spelling errors while there is still disagreement over their names and status. You are expected not to launch a draft in a state where everyone has to clean up after you.
I also see failure to produce quality articles in YKTTW.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer
There's a bunch of major Batman storylines with their own pages, which were in the Main/ namespace. Work pages aren't supposed to go in Main/, so I went to move them off.
I saw that the pages on the individual Harry Potter, Discworld, and The Dark Tower books, and the Disney movies, were each in HarryPotter/, Discworld/, TheDarkTower/, and Disney/ namespaces respectively, and reasoned that individual Batman storylines should be treated the same way. Was that wrong?
