This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

I've been suspended from edition, probably for a really stupid mistake I did very few ago. (Either Natter or not taking things to Discussion when I should, or both). Sorry about that or any other and I'd like to edit again.

Care to explain the "flaw exaggerating" phrase in regards to Faye detractors in YMMV.Fire Emblem Gaiden? That looks like something a devout supporter of the character would say.

Ah, all right: I was referring mostly to the extremely exaggerated hate of Faye that I have seen online, particularly in Reddit where some people act like she was the worst character ever. In hindsight I should have known better than just needlessly throwing these comments around, and I apologize for that. :/a

Glittering Flowers: We strive to keep YMMV from being way too one-sided. If there is a Single-Issue Wonk going about, that jeopardizes the neutrality. The ban placed was so we can make sure you don't reach SIW levels.
Currently the Ron the Death Eater example you added is commented out, pending a more neutral writeup. With the page locked to counter policing from other supporters of the character, we do have a thread in the FAQ forum dedicated to requesting edits for locked pages if you feel you can offer a writeup. To prevent suspicions, though, I recommend waiting until your ban is lifted to post there, which I can do if you are willing to be a little more neutral on your YMMV edits.
Neromenian: It's good that you are using it, but that doesn't solve your other issues. Also,a correction: Apparently the stub issue was not a real concern and was never mentioned in the ATT report, but it was ZC Es. The suspension report has mentioned stubs. I may ask the moderator involved with suspending you about the stub issue.
Edit: Okay, the moderator involved replied noting the articles you were trying to make were indeed stubs.

I need only to add the tropes - I have all infromation about tropes from this book and it is grammatically correct. I like this book and I wan to to finish my work correctly so everyone can know about this wonderful book and read it.

I'm not sure what you aren't getting about our rules. We make it clear that we expect people to do accurate work, with proper English and correct formatting. You are not even making a minimal effort, while at the same time willfully disregarding our requirements. So, I guess this is goodbye forever.
FYI, those articles you love so much will be cut and locked, just in case you get the idea of doing this again.

Hello, I would like to know what actions I need to take for my editing suspension to be undone; as far as I can tell, I was suspended simply for getting too many notices in one month. I promptly went back into the page and corrected the errors listed in the first two notices I received (for the 21 Jump st tv show), a previous note (about two capital letters in the same word) had already been corrected by another, and I have held to the rule I was informed of since. As for the second two notices (both for the Literature/Elemental Masters)... well, the first was for indentation rules, and the point was in direct answer to the previous point made. I realize this borders onto the 'discussion - don't' rule, but I honestly don't think it makes nearly as much sense or flow strictly following the rule. In support of this, I can only say that no one else has corrected this particular paragraph. For the second notice, I was simply told it was a matter of 'proper English grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation'. As I had made several edits to the page at the time, I am unsure exactly what the issue was, especially as I am from a country that uses British spelling. As well as said notices coming more than a week after I made the edits under discussion... I'm sorry, but I had other things to occupy my short-term memory. I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but could I suggest that in notices for things like 'proper English grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation' that the sentence/paragraph concerned be copied into the notice? It's a bit hard to correct something when you're not sure what part you're supposed to be correcting.
Hey, escuse me, I've already asked a few days ago but no one answered me. I was suspended for bad grammar, and for some months I've written a lot of things on the get help with english page, and so I've also gathered a lot of tropes which no one edited. Can I my suspension be lifted? I think I've improved a bit my English (However, I swear I'll always write on the "help with english page" before editing) and there are a lot of things I have accumulated to edit...

Hi, I just got edit banned. I'd really like to edit again. Regarding the Edit War I was being called out for on the Ask the Tropers page, may I clarify that I did not find the various The One Where entries that several people were putting on the Doctor Who recap pages to be particularly clever, descriptive or necessary. I realize I should have put that in the "edit reasons" box, but I don't often do that, and I sometimes forget even when I was intending to do so (I imagine quite a few other tropers do the same).

Er. Well, I admit I neglected to explain in the edit reasons box the reasons for my editing. I do wish to convey that I was not trying to get re-suspended for edit warring (seriously, who does?), but I was irritated and not thinking through what I was doing. I will definitely endeavour to be more careful to explain my reasons for making edits, and to not get involved in edit warring. I really don't want this to happen again. It was embarrassing enough the first time.

The issue we have was with your edit reasons, as you appear to be ranting in them. Can you promise not to use edit reasons to vent?

Yeah, I figured it was that. I was so adamant about it because "dropped" makes it sound like the arc was forgotten, even though it got resolved the episode immediately after the arc it was put on hold for finished. I'll make sure to bring it up in Ask The Tropers next time. Sorry.
