This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Umm.... doing a minimal amount of research indicates that Scratchpad is a Wikia service that lets anyone set up a mini-wiki on any subject they like. The obvious conclusion is that there would be no automatic requirement for sourcing, citations, or, y'know, truth on any of these sites.

We'll let you go this one time, but bear in mind that we will have zero tolerance for a repeat. We've had problems before with people deliberately adding false information to the wiki, and we almost uniformly had to permanently ban them because they refused to stop.
What you added has probably already been removed, but if any of it has not, please make sure to do that.

~Lloyd Nebulon: If you're so anxious to put in images, you should know that we have rules about it. For example, if there's already an image, you aren't allowed to change it without asking people first. If you change an image, someone reverts it (referencing a previous decision), sends you a PM asking you to please follow procedure, and you change it again, you are guilty of an Edit War and we suspend you until the matter is resolved.
We work by consensus. Nobody is allowed to steamroll that consensus. See How to Pick a Good Image for more details on the policy.

I realized my mistakes: 1. Zero Context Examples 2. Putting my own 2 cents on pages without ZCE by assumingly watching them on You Tube or based on expert opinions in the case of Deader Than Disco (the anti-Disney book really should've been Hype Backlash) 3. How Indexing Works-need help with that 4. Some pages I felt that Needs Wiki Magic Love or simply expanding (Off On, Kick Me, etc.) 5. Is TV Tropes collaborative or not? Just asking. 6. Sorry about the "seriously?" on Zootopia (I thought Communist lizards was a bit too far). 7. Speaking of which, I was just worried about Nick and Judy in the sequel after what they've been thru in the first one. (Problem or no problem?)
I really do like to cooperate and fix my problems plus enjoy being a troper myself. Just let me know when you got the time.

Sorry, can someone let Willbyr know I responded to him? also, can someone show me how to properly put a notification in a troper's inbox that I replied to them? which is to say, how do I make W Illbyr's username red like that? I feel like "username" should be a banned username, specifically for this purpouse (that or Aliceand Bob). Also, I would recommend a parole system.

~skadooshbag: Looking at the pages you've edited this year, here's how I would break your edits down: fine (VideoGame.Grey Goo), no overall value added to the page (ApocalypseHow.Class Z, Not A Subversion), and problematic (Weapon Twirling- grammar issues, very rambly; Dragon Age - violates Repair Dont Respond; Humans Through Alien Eyes - grammar issues, no value to the page; Fireballs - should've been added as a trope example, possibly one of the Artistic License tropes). These issues aren't insurmountable, but if you don't take time to proofread your edits and make sure that you're actually improving the page with what you want to add, you stand a good chance of another suspension. You may be able to get help through the discussion pages of the pages you want to edit if you're unsure about what to do. Does this make sense?
