Just watched the first two episodes of kara no kyoukai

to say I'm thoroughly confused would be an understatement

It's in anachronistic order.

I gathered. I think the second episode referenced the first with mention of Kokotou bringing Shiki flowers.

Which just makes me confused as to who or what Shiki in the first episode is.

Now episode 3 is making things more confusing. And super depressing given that it starts with a rape.

I'm assuming that I'll figure out the answers as I continue watching though. I like anachronistic series.

Yea, Kn K is confusingly annoying to piece together.

I watched all of it and liked some bits, but was never really that into it compared to Fate or Tsukihime. Probably because Ryougi just isn't that appealing of a main character and the rest of the cast cast is one boring guy, one creepy morally ambiguous smoking lady and a series of one off villains.

I dunno, I'm totally digging Kn K. I got through the fifth episode last night.

It's definitely more of an anthology series than anything else, which I don't mind at all.

The first episode being confusing is also a plus in my book since it forces you to figure out the overarching story and little bits of the past on your own as you learn more about these characters.

In any case I totally love the series.

I enjoy Kn K as well, but I'll have to agree with a Arha that it doesn't really compare to Fate/ and Tsukihime. To me, the best we got in characters was Tomoe and Fujino and I can't say I'm a huge fan of anyone else.
