Well, I've been tweaking mine a bit, but I don't know if it's complex or not...
I think the simplest route for me would be for my 'sona to just be me attempting to not look shabby in ferret, marten or genet form.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. Not sure if hilarious or disturbing.
Who says it can't be both?
By the way, the fursona I showed before was just finished◊. I am super pleased with how it turned out.
Pretty cool :)
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdNeat. Not many skunk people out there.
My Fursona is a skunk and my sister finished my character's reference sheet not too long ago here
BTW this is Inuyasharules 31. I just made an alternate account.

I love your Fursona <3
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI think part of the reason you don't see skunks too often other then the obvious Skunks smell thing is possibly the only prominent skunk character that I can recall in media is Pepe Le Pew. I haven't heard or seen any mentions of any other sapient skunk characters. Pepe isn't really too well regarded nowadays as times has changed which doesn't help. I don't recall seeing a skunk in Zootopia for example, not even in the background (I could be wrong however).
Still, I like how you guys drew your skunks. I wish I could draw well. I would draw so much ideas in my mind.....
I think I am going to switch my preference for a catbunny type of fursona to just a bunny as my fursona. Likely a arctic hare. I like bunnies and have a taste for carrots so....

Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothAwesome! Another of my brethren.
There is concept art for skunks in Zootopia at least, along with this comic. Something I've noticed is that people who design skunk characters tend to not include their ridiculously long claws, probably because they look kind of ugly. I pretty much take the smell thing and run with it though, hence the air freshener necklace and my character having a habit of talking in scent-related puns.
I didn't draw mine though, it was a commission. I wish I had that kind of talent.

A small pet peeve I have is that I notice that just about 90% of the time when you see an anthropomorphic skunk, they will usually have a white mouth/face. Maybe it's just me but people, in real life skunks have a black face not a white one.
Another small thing that irks me is that yes, skunks are mostly known for the fact that they can stink, but they don't stink all the time. I mean in real life, skunks only use their smell when its absolutely necessary like when they're scared. Skunks can smell bad, but they don't stink 24/7. Even the Smelly Skunk page says that they won't spray right away all the time.
My character is basically like that as well. While he can smell bad he doesn't stink all the time. I enjoy it when other people are like that when they draw skunks as well like these two pieces of artwork (Note: They weren't drawn by me.)
I'm pretty sure most people on this planet know by now that skunks don't stink 24/7. We don't live in an era anymore where that isn't common knowledge anymore.
dis fukken edgelord here is my OC/sona/whatever. Gonna give him a bit of a re-design.
Have a few other icons of him uploaded here, but they all are a bit... Inconsistent, due to a generous friend getting me commissions without my knowing but I appriciate the art/thought, even if that design wasn't ever 100% settled on.

To clarify, my character doesn't stink all the time either. He just likes to joke about it to deal with the stereotypes. It bugs the heck out of me too when people portray skunks as constantly stinking. What, they don't have a bad enough reputation as it is?
Some people don't know that Skunks actually do that as a defense mechanism rather then default yes.
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothMore people should recognise that, for all intents and purposes, skunks are basically mellower, shier ferrets with long, long nails. But then, a lot of people think ferrets are weird and smelly, too, so I guess we arboreal mustelids need to stick together!
Underrated carnivore fist-bump?
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.well unless they're descented (which commercial ferrets are) they /are/ smelly so :P
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Plenty of animals that have not been domesticatedly bred for hundreds of yearsnote still have a... "feral oudor" to them as far as I know?

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"so my extremely talented friend drew my fursona http://i.imgur.com/A59u0fr.jpg?1
they actually wear a scarf instead of a collar but he was already drawing it and i didnt wanna mess him up lol
she magnificent my bastard till i complete on her monsterWell, that picture is nice but doesn't really give me much to go on. Some kind of dog that is ????
its a kittycat
here◊ is the picture its based on
she magnificent my bastard till i complete on her monsterOops! Sorry.
I've just seen so many people draw dogs and foxes with itty bitty noses that make them look like cats, that it's become a hit or miss for me to sometimes tell which they're supposed to be.
<throws catnip at the kitty>
Things don't have to be complex in order to look appealing. Simple and sweet also works pretty well.
