You have nothing too regret
I grew up with Grand theft auto 2. Sandbox mayhem as it's finest. Nuff' said.
Yoshi's Island was the game I played the most as a kid. I'm just lying in wait for it to come out on the virtual console because I refuse to play it on an emulator.
I want flies in on a dragons! My nostalgia overfloweth with Game Boy and N64 games.
- All the Donkey Kong Land games
- Kirby's Dreamland 1 and 2
- Banjo Kazooie
- Mario Kart 64
- Yoshis Story
- Tetris Attack (my first real game!)
- Pokemon
- And a bunch of PC Edutainment things.
Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokemon, mainly. But my first video game was Super Mario World.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DWell, the SNES (with Super Mario Allstars) was my first console, but I didn't really play that one all that much. I consider the GBA my first real console, with games like Pokemon Crystal, Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Ages and Golden Sun. An honorary mention goes to Hype The Time Quest for being the first PC game I ever played.

Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Let's see... when I was six, my mother bought a GBC and Pokemon for me and my older brother (I received Blue, he had Red). There was also a lot of Super Mario Land, Wario Land, and Bomberman (the GBC one that was single player with an emphasis on platforming and had the story about some Sun Sword) back then as well. Not too long after that, my aunt bought us a PS 1 for Christmas, so the main games we initially played were X-Men vs. Street Fighter (this was back when I absolutely sucked at fighters and could only button mash to pull off supers), Crash Bandicoot (Cortex Strikes Back, Warped, and CTR), and Spyro (the original trilogy), among others. My cousin also had a Sega Genesis, so I played the occasional Sonic, ToeJam & Earl (both the original and the sequel), and Castlevania: Bloodlines. It's a shame my PS 2 isn't with me at college; I'm suddenly feeling nostalgic.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!- Pokemon Blue and Gold
- Metroid 2
- Crash Bandicoot 2
- Golden Sun The Lost Age
- Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons (but mostly Ages)
I'm typically a generation behind.
So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonEr... I also forgot to mention that my grandfather had a N64, so I spent my Sundays playing Pilotwings 64, Cruis'n USA, Wipeout 64, and Conker's Bad Fur Day (yeah, it was not a good influence for me seeing as I was only 6-8 back then; he'd later buy other games like Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros., LoZ: OoT, and other gems from that era).
My word, the music from those first three games are stuck in my head.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI remember being fascinated by Star Fox 64 as a kid despite rarely playing it back then. I used to always goad my older brother into playing it during road trips because I kept wanting to see Aquas and Area 6. As for games I actually tried my hand at, the second Grand Theft Auto, Streets of Rage and the Pokemon series.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Pokemon, Crash Bandicoot, Age of Empires, Kingdom Hearts.
Likes many underrated webcomicsDonkey Kong 64 springs to mind, and Super Mario World. I also played most of the best Nintendo64 games, though regrettably no Banjo Kazooie. Later on my dad was into Warcraft (remember when that was an RTS?) and Diablo, so I played them as well.
The only big series I played was Kingdom Hearts. Other than that, various GBA games based on movies and books I liked. (One of the Harry Potter games was actually pretty good, though.)
I find it a bit funny how apparently many of you had Conkers Bad Fur Day as kids.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaFuck yeah Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. So glad to see all the Crash love in here.

You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person. The games that got me started on the path to addiction was the original Star Fox, Super Mario World, and Desert Strike for the SNES. It was all downhill from then on...
- SNES
- Mortal Kombat 1, 2 & 3
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario All Stars
- Dr Mario
- Sink Or Swim
- Killer Instinct (Thank you Joi)
- Some form of Tetris
- Street Fighter II Turbo
- Alladin
- Mickey Mouse and the Great Circus Mystery
- PS 1
- Bloody Roar 2
- Tenchu: Steal Assassins
- Wu-Tang Shaolin Style
- Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2 (Thank you Joi)
- Spyro 1 &2 (THANK YOU JOI OMG)
- Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22
There are MUCH more, but I can't remember because A CERTAIN SOMEBODY thought it'd be a good idea to get rid of my PSX and SNES and all of my games.

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.I started at an early age =)

- Doom
- Quake
- Wolfenstein3d

- XCOMUFO Defense
- Mordor The Depths Of Dejenol
- Space Crusade

- The Gobliiins series (all of them, yes)
- Quest For Glory 1 and 4

- Secret Of Monkey Island
- Diablo
- Lode Runner The Legend Returns

Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.@Freezair FALT: I'm surprised my mom bought it at all, even with the 18+ only on the box... In retrospect, I was actually kinda lucky that mom bought it and that it didn't influence me as much as it could, besides, it was fun trying to find all the movie references. Me, sis, and my friends always had a blast at the Multiplayer too. (Submachine Guns/Shotguns or Raptor character for the win!) The ending was a Tear Jerker though...
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Pokemon was the first ever Video Game I liked. I watched the anime like it was some sort of cult ritual back in those days. And then my Aunt got me Pokemon Blue. I had a Haunter and Kadabra as my top guys. But when I found I couldn't evolve them, I threw a huge tantrum.
My second Video Game love was Resident Evil. Yes, I know that's weird. I didn't play it, though. I watched my 17 year old aunt play the shit out of it. I only stopped when 3 came out. Nemesis traumatized me with his "S.T.A.R.S"
After that I mostly played some Looney Tunes licensed games. I remember one was call "Sheep Raider" and the other was about time or something.
I actually lost interest in playing Video Games until I was 11, and then Kingdom Hearts came out.
I grew up with oldies on Amstrad CPC: Fruity Frank, Prohibition, Jet Set Willy... The next big step was my SNES with Super Scope 6 and The Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past.

Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Commander Keen are the most vivid in memory.
