Thinking of rebooting my "Kryptonian Nanoha" story, but more streamlined.
... "Kryptonian Nanoha"? That's, like, making her several orders of magnitude even more of a Person of Mass Destruction than she already is in canon. Poor Darkness of the Book of Darkness won't stand a chance unless you buff it considerably.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Well, it's hard to say, really...
Trying to think of a satisfactory title. "Girl of Steel" would be my first choice, but I don't want people to assume I'm using the similarly-titled movie as my main inspiration...
My next choice would be "Ready to Fly", but...

How about Magical Girl of Steel? Or is she not a magical girl in this story?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. She still has the same magical potential as in the TV show, but I won't be putting as much focus on it.
How about Uminari?
Considering Kryponian vulnerability to magic, the Book of Darkness could do OK against a Kryptonian.
Yuri fanfiction writer! http://www.fanfiction.net/~shanejayellIt's not so much a vulnerability to magic as it's them being neither more nor less protected from magic than baseline humans are... which means that unless the magic specifically delibilitates Kryptonian physiology, a yellow sun-exposed Kryptonian should still get the full benefits of their Healing Factor and, when it comes to purely non-magical side-effects of magic (e.g. non-magical flames generated by a spell), Super-Toughness.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Admittedly it depends on the story. You may recall Captain Marvel/Shazam kicking Kals ass in Kingdom Come, as a example...
Yuri fanfiction writer! http://www.fanfiction.net/~shanejayellYou could make an argument that Superman may not have been going all out against Billy because he knew he wasn't in full control.
Wait I can't remember now, had Superman been informed about Batsen's conditioning ?
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Well, to be fair, Billy's pretty awesome.
Also, his alter ego's name is not Shazam! Shazam is the wizard who gave Billy his powers to become Captain Marvel! Blessed with the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the awesome power of Zeus, the invulnerability of Achilles (sans vulnerable heel), and the speed of Mercury!
I don't remember either, it's been a good few years or so since I've read it.

Actually, as of the New 52, his superhero name is in fact "Shazam", while "Captain Marvel" is now used by Carol Danvers.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. That is of course disregarding NU 52 being a festering pile of rot distilled from the puss of a boil in Nergle's bellybutton.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Of course. I'm just pointing out the fact that canon technically contradicts him in this instance.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Had an idea to swap out MGLN's Earth for the one in the Cosmic Era, with a few changes here and there.
Might work on it further and see how it goes.
Wish Upon A Seed
"Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight."
Brow furrowed with his fervent wish, a young boy prayed up to the starry night. "I wish my dad will come home safely."
"What, that's all you want?"
The owner of the second voice, a handsome man with blonde hair, smirked down at his son with amusement. "Don't you worry about a thing, kid. After all," he said as his smirked deepened with just a little cockiness, "I never lose. Once I'm on the Dominion, those space monsters'll be exterminated in no time!"
Proud of his dad, as so many youngsters are, the boy cheered, before he let his father put him to bed.
As the boy drifted off to sleep, he felt a strong sense of security. His was just a small wish, after all — surely, there's no way it wouldn't come true.
My dad is the coolest....

"...so my dad is actually my mom's second husband," one young lady concluded to her friends as they left school for the day.
"Huh. I never really would have guessed," said wealthy heiress Alisa Bannings, "but in hindsight it does explain why your brother and sister have black hair when neither of your parents do."
"Yep! I don't see my dad as much as I'd like to because of his job, but he's really cool! He knows all kinds of things about computers and robots!" A moment later, she giggled. "Although sometimes he can be kind of silly, too."
"Wow," gasped one Suzuka Tsukimura. "I'd like to meet him someday."
"I'm not surprised," Alisa said with a fond roll of the eyes, "given that you're going to be an engineer when you grow up."
As the trio came in sight of the street, their attention was caught by the honking of a car horn. While Suzuka and Alisa glanced in the direction of the noise in surprise, their friend's eyes widened with shock, before morphing into glee. "Dad?!"
The car was a good few years old, being designed for economy of travel and for carrying a family. Emerging from the driver's seat was a handsome adult male with brown hair and violet eyes. When the nine year old girl leapt into his arms, he smiled warmly, spinning her around as they laughed. "I can't believe you're here, Dad! Is it really okay for you to pick me up?!"
"Things have been nice and quiet for a while, Nanoha," he said while letting his daughter back on the ground, "so the Captain let me go on vacation for a while."
Almost jumping out of her shoes in excitement, Nanoha gaped. "You mean, you're going to be home this week?!"
Her dad shook his head, before making a 'peace' sign. "Two weeks," he said with a smile.
"Two whole weeks?! We can do all kinds of stuff together!"
"We sure can," he agreed. Turning to Suzuka and Alisa, he asked, "Are you Nanoha's friends?"
Blushing in embarrassment, Nanoha quickly turned back to her peers. "Dad, these are Alisa Bannings and Suzuka Tsukimura, my best friends in school!"
Absolutely beaming with pride, she then threw her arms around her father, hugging him at the waist. "This is my dad, and he's the coolest dad ever! His name is Kira, Kira Yamato!"
Thoughts?
Kira’s main appeal is that he’s an awkward, self-doubting dork who also happens to be extremely good at murdering people (or pointedly not murdering people) with giant robots. He’s not a traditionally cool guy outside the cockpit - that’s Mu’s job.
What's precedent ever done for us?I actually completely agree with you.
From Nanoha's perspective, however... She knows he's a Mobile Suit Pilot with the Archangel, has a basic understanding that his/their job is to help stop more wars from happening (and understands that "war" is a thing that makes her family sad, so she doesn't want it to happen either), and consequently more-or-less thinks her dad is a superhero.
Given that it's not really a big secret how much of a role the Archangel played in saving the world during the Bloody Valentine Wars (moreso the First, but still considered to be a major player in the Second), and that the (Strike) Freedom and its pilot have proven to be incredibly valuable assets, From a Certain Point of View you could even say that she's not wrong.
