Yeah. Anybody else hear about the huge earthquake in Japan? They got an 8.9. Huge tsunamis as well as aftershocks reaching into the 7s.
Read all of my fanfics!Being from Chile I can totally relate to that. *
Kyon: Big Damn Hero: timeline & trailerI'm a Floridian, so we don't really deal with that stuff. We certainly get hurricanes, although not recently.
Read all of my fanfics!I'm British and therefore completely incapable of relating to such stuff.
My response to finding out was 'oh dear... at least building methods have improved over time'.
Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.Yeah. I know it seems heartless, but it seems like I'm not going to be able to watch Index tonight.
Read all of my fanfics! The Tsunami height in Taiwan was less than four inches.
Odd number of large earthquakes, recently.
Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.I just saw the news. Man, I do hope Japan gets better.
@Rainy Daze: Does it count if the crying was in one's Mental World? Because a lot Stoic people tend to maintain an emotionless mask even while they're falling apart on the inside.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Does it count in what situation?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. That would make me not soulless, which most people that know me would disagree with. Irony? I think so.
Read all of my fanfics!I was there when it happened, although the shaking wasn't nearly as bad where I was (NAF Atsugi/Ayase-shi). At most, everybody just exited the buildings and waited for the shaking to stop. Being from California, quakes don't really faze me, but this one was the biggest I ever personally felt and we were pretty far from the epicenter. And later, seeing all the devastation on the news and through online feeds.... I'm lucky I was where I was when it happened.
Anyway, back on topic:
I've always seen that as a YMMV, myself. For me, I mostly choke up at sad stuff, but no tears.
Whether or not it's a YMMV was beside the point. The point was that, according to the Tear Jerker pages, this thread probably has something like four or five souls.
We're also rather off topic.
Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.Would the latest WMG be a good place to start? Because I think that it's quite plausible...
I have returned, and my vacation in the void was so boring...I was thinking if any trope affects the fic given the Japan quake. K:BDH is set in the future (starting April 17, 2011) while the year in the Haruhi canon is left vague (meaning it'd be a trope of the fic, not of the Haruhi canon).
Kyon: Big Damn Hero: timeline & trailerCurrently, Koizumi's romantic interests consists of... one girl not even in Junior High. That doesn't look very promising.
I can't think of anything the Sendai earthquake would have to do with this, K:BDH being down in Nishinomiya and all.

Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.I don't know about Japan geography.
Anyway, am I the only one who thinks the Kyon caught in tape by Akasaka in Calm Before the Storm 5 is from the future? I don't know what that could mean though.

Kyon: Big Damn Hero: timeline & trailerAlternate History? I mean, the probability of whether an earthquake of any magnitude occurs is primarily dependent on tectonic activity, which itself is dependant, inter alia, on various "random" factors that no human science can predict. In another parallel timeline, the March 11 Earthquake of Japan might not have happened at all.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Kyon was caught on tape?
It would be amusing if he was caught on tape in two separate places at once. Miyuki's reaction would be priceless.
Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.I bet 1000 TCU that her first thought would be if her obsession diligent pursuit of "Kyon's case" has affected her sanity.
Well, he's vanished mysteriously.
As soon as she finds out he's a martial artist without peer despite no formal training, in addition to the Yakuza links, she'll come to the same conclusion: either she's mad or the world is.
Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.@Filraen If you're talking about the video I think you are then it was definitely present Kyon and we've already seen it from his perspective in Storm Begins I.
I wonder if Miyuki has any friends?
Now collecting White-Haired Pretty Girls.@Betatrack: it isn't that. First, in Storm Begins 1 Kyon doesn't make a several meters jump; and second, Akasaka's scene happened earlier than Kyon's scene in Storm Begins 1.
What does TCU stand for?

Kyon: Big Damn Hero: timeline & trailer
You know the way the Tear Jerker * pages often say that if you don't cry at X, you have no soul? This thread doesn't seem to have many souls.
