God, I love forming attack columns against the French!
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.So I bought Rome II the other day. Gotta be honest, I'm not sure if I like it.
I don't really like how you build things now. Or how units are made. Or how cities expand. Or most of it really.
I think I might just be too used to the first Rome.
Oh really when?Describe that stuff you don't like? My brother has it but I don't, and I've never watched him play. I want to know if it's worth going for.
So, recently Empire was made available to play on Mac. I tried a campaign as Prussia but I messed up and let Poland-Lithuania get too powerful, and I was running out of time in my campaign and at the same time unable to really do anything due to being at war with a bunch of other nations simultaneously, with my army overextended. I controlled all of North Africa from Morocco to Egypt, most of Russia, Scandanavia, Iberia, and Italy by the time I stopped XD
I did start over though, again as Prussia. I already whittled Austria down to one small province (Croatia) and am now at war with Venice and the Ottoman Empire. I can beat them both, I just need to get large enough armies built up to first smash Venice, then push into Ottoman territory.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It takes a little getting used to, for sure, but I actually like Rome 2 better now than Rome because of those changes.

It seems like they actually made it more streamlined, though I can't really say for sure because I haven't played it.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I'm trying to play Hyrule Total War, but in battles, I get ridiculous amounts of lag. I have no such issue with the unmodded game. Any tips?
Well that seems to be an issue with the mod so you're better off going to the thread of the mod, maybe at TW Center.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Actually, it seems to be working now... I'm playing the Moblins rather than the Goron, so maybe that did it.
I finally got Shogun 2 working, and I'm having fun playing as the Date. I've got no shortage of targets, and if I play the naval game right, I can keep my enemies at bay.
I normally use the Date too xD I think when I get a new Windows laptop (stuck on a Mac that can only play Empire right now, not that that's a bad thing) I'll just auto-resolve every naval battle xD
Also I need to come up with a strategy for them. Maybe avoid ticking off the Hatakeyama (or giving them a lot of money just to sell me Miyagi) and just keep pushing down the island.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I turned the Magomi (Or however you spell it) into vassals after taking their northern city, and am now getting ready to take on the Hondo island so I can build a serious naval base. And protect my new vassals.
Mogami. Bit of a spoonerism there
Not to mention there's also a gold mine there, so that will help you in the long run.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yes it was! I keep running into campaign problems and restarting. I'm not all that good at these games, after all. I've settled into my favorite faction: The Chosokabe clan. I love archers, and theirs kick ass.
I've taken over the island and am building it up and trying to trade for more income. I want to be powerful before I start really messing with the main island.
I remember I once did the Shimazu as a campaign once, but it took me most of the campaign just to conquer the island I started on XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.LOLWUT that (Kyushu) is "beginner's island".
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Eh, I let the Sagara expand too much XD
But anyways, GOOD NEWS! SHOGUN 2 IS AVAILABLE ON MAC! :D
BAD NEWS! I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY ON MY COMPUTER! D: Thanks a lot, Witcher 2 >_<
And also ESO but I'm having fun with it so it's worth it for now XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I remember my first campaign in Shogun II, playing as the Chosokabe. I managed to take the entirety of the left part of the map by feeding the enemy armies until they couldn't eat any more. Then I just kept pounding Oda-held Kyoto during realm divide.
"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."Feeding? O.o
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.He spammed cheap units and went hog wild attacking the enemy, taking loss after loss but damaging the enemy armies with each one. Eventually he outspammed them and shredded the remains of their armies.
Ah.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.We Have Reserves is a valid tactic, but it's dishonorable as Hell. Better to give your troops some real training and arm them with better gear.
Yeah, I prefer Badass Army to Redshirt Army, myself. Like, for instance, when I started getting Guard Infantry and equivalent cavalry when I'm playing Empire, I start making my armies out of them for the most part.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.lol in Empire/Napoleon my garrisons are Line Infantry-level at the minimum. And of course the armies there (as well as with the other games) are also composed of even better units.
