Sten only stands down in Haven if you've found his sword and he considers you a friend. Otherwise you either fight him or take a huge approval loss.

Pretty cool! Really dig these fan-made lore videos.
EDIT: MERRILL SIGHTING IN THE DA:I TRAILER THAT WAS RELEASED TODAY.
(she's the gray speck sitting in the background while Iron Bull is talking.)

I guess Bio Ware has to include something for their neckbeard demographic.
Seriously, though. Merrill? Ew, go away.
"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."Seriously. We may be fighting demons but unless she's learned her lesson she might make it WORSE.
... There are people that like Merrill?
I liked Merrill. She may have been completely obsessed with the mirror and underestimated the demon, but I still found her somewhat charming. Then again, I didn't hate Morrigan either and Morrigan had some downright stupid ideas that she unrepentantly spouted out.
I guess my tolerance level is just high.
Its too bad that Merrill wasn't a skippable companion. One thing I really liked about DA 2 was that you could completely avoid Fenris and Isabela by simply not talking to them or not taking their quest.
Merrill's banter or random dialogue was hilarious. The mirror stupidity was dumb though.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI liked Fenris. Isabela though I found her character to be too Easily Forgiven for the Qunari shit.
I liked Fenris too, I just appreciated having the option not to meet him. I just wish I had the same option in regards to Anders and Merrill.

Anders is way too plot important though.
At least you can kick him out of your friend group in act 2.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Morrigan disapproves.
I really don't think Morrigan would like Anders that much.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Morrigan had nothing but disdain for Circle mages, didn't she? I doubt she would listen to Anders preaching.
Hell, even if Anders told her he wasn't a part of the Circle I doubt she'd like him because he never shut up about mage liberty.
She'd probably have contempt for how he's trying to liberate other people from the Circle instead of not thinking entirely about himself. What a loser.
However, I do think she'd give a jovial +50 Approval at the Chantry's destruction and the whole Climax really.

I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. What I'd get from Morrigan is that why'll she'd definitely agree with Anders on being Anti-Circle, is she'd consider him a full for his lack of control over Justice.
She'd outright despise Fenris and Sebastian, and to a lesser degree Aveline. Probably have some odd toleration for Merill. Isabela and Varric would get under her skin.

I wonder what Varric would nick name her...
Or the Inquisition Companions too.
I nominate Cass for 'Princess Stabbity'.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. Most likely, he's going to end up calling Cass "Seeker."

He does that already. Varric would probably call Morrigan "Tits Mc Gee" or something like that, considering what she wears.
But yeah, while I think Morrigan would approve of the destruction of the Circle she'd criticize Anders for having no control of Justice at all. She'd probably also criticize Merrill for being so blind and having truck with demons with so little precaution.
We know that Cass is "Seeker" and Josephine is "Ruffles."
Varric's nicknames are always one-word things. And I doubt he'd be as dickish as to call her "Tits" or "Tits Mc Gee," especially given he knew Isabela.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."
He appreciates you if you stand your ground on things in general, or have a good reason for doing things. Like for instance, if you say that looking for the Urn helps you against the Blight, then he'll acquiesce to your judgement. Otherwise, you have to fight him because he thinks you're unfit to be a leader.
