Suggestion: School Uniforms Are The New Black

I think this works better because it shows two distinct uniforms, but in such a way that it shows that everyone is wearing them. As such, it fits the idea of School Uniforms are the New Black.

Two school represented, but not in school, and with over half-a-dozen people.

Was also suggested

to 1.2. It doesn't really look like in 1.1. that they're not in a school setting, something which is obvious in the other image.

The problem with 1.2 is there's nothing "uniform".

Title needs to be changed to School Uniforms are the New Black.

No pic for now. 1.1 doesn't make it obvious that they're not in school, 1.2's uniforms aren't really uniform, and 7 doesn't look like a school uniform at all.

Them being uniform with each other is not a requirement of the trope, just them being in school uniform. So them being from separate schools is fine.

I still prefer 1.2 I like that the fantasy elements are armor bits on top of the school uniforms themselves.

I actually think the opposite. I've seen Rayearth but sans context the fantasy details make it more difficult to make out that they're actually schoolwear.
