The Amazing Digital Circus

I want to get into this but there's something about the bright colors and character designs that's putting me off

I mean that's the point, the show seems colorful but it has a dark story to it.

Of all the theories, the one I like the most is that the characters are duplicates, so the reason they can't leave is because they don't actually have a human body to return to.

Yeah but I doesn't need to look so garish on the process.

Anyway I like circus aesthetic with a dose of existential horror

...that's like complaining that scenes set in the Matrix are 'too green'.

Okay, finally got time to watch this thing. Came out of it thinking "Yeah, this is pretty good", but didn't think it was absolutely amazing must-watch or something like that. It is just a pilot though, so hopefully it'll improve.

Ragatha is best girl though, I'll probably ride that hill till show's end.

I'm also getting vibes this is practically identical to 'Welcome Home'

I do think The Matrix was too green.

On the topic of cinematography, this show does a complete 180 from the dark, dystopian color palette of Murder Drones

Pomni: technically The Hero? Why it is said "technically"? So?

Caine: Name of Cain? He is putting various human souls through torment for some reason at the titular Circus. What did he do to get on control of the titular circus, or even his roles?

The Abstracted: how much can one take before being abstracted?

The Circus itself: Any biblical references you know?

I'm guessing she's the Decoy Protagonist. Maybe the story is really about Jax or Caine. That or it's an Ensemble Cast and she's merely the viewpoint character.

As for more biblical references, maybe the circus is one for Purgatory?

I think that meant pomni is the protagonist but not the only one with Caine and Ragatha being the deuteragonist,and jax is the triagonist

Seems like YouTube's algorithm is pushing this show hard (I have a similar feeling to anything Cuphead (and its bootleg counterpart, you know the one) related on YouTube). Is it as good as everyone says?

I'd say watch it and see what you think. I liked it but didn't think it was absolutely spectacular, but a lot of people are already super hooked on this show.

I think you won't regret using 25 minutes of your time to find out.

I mean, it's only a pilot, so it's too early to tell the show's quality. Although, I would recommend giving it a watch.

Do you think it's possible to die in Amazing Digital Circus? Because I wouldn't be surprised if dying wasn't an option even if you wanted to.

Stuck on the toilet for so long I had enough time to watch the pilot in one setting. I see why everyone's hyping it to death. Bandwagon, here I come!

I'm not sure. Looking at their previous shows such as Murder Drones, I think it's safe to assume that a new episode should release once every few months or so.
