Pretty lateral change in my opinion. Both work, but I slightly prefer the current due to mysticism surrounding the setting, which emphasizes the relation of this trope with connection with nature.

oh hey how are you doing? My liking of Waterhouse's style aside [throws curtain over my avatar] I think the current better conveys wildness.
I like the current. They're pretty equal, but I'm not a fan of change for the sake of change.
Current > suggestion
Current does a better job of illustrating the trope rather than just the trope name.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.I think they both do a pretty good job of illustrating the trope, albeit in different ways — current gives more emphasis to mysticism, OP has what's more clearly active magic going on. I'm just a little hesitant of making changes just for changes.

The current works better for the same reason others have stated — it shows the wildness of the person depicted better.
Kaito is an alien and he is kinda spacey, coming from the universe to party and go crazy!I also prefer the current
Keep current
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.That's plenty of consensus for the current. The tag's adjusted to keep it; I put the OP on ImageLinks.Magical Barefooter with a couple of the other linked images.
I think this image shows the character's feet better than current.
