Needs Help: Multicolored Hair

I've seen "unnatural hair color as some genetic accident that makes other people look at em weird" (The House of the Spirits, Cruella, I thiiink Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba?), so that might be another one.

And yeah, "make it into a setting trope" was gonna be my preferred action for You Gotta Have Blue Hair. But that's for that TRS.

Anyhoo, trope about rebels with hair dye coming to a launch pad near you.

I wish MH and YGHBH had gone through TRS at the same time because their discussion seems to be going hand-in-hand but oh well.

Would it be a possible course of action to redefine Multicolored Hair (as opposed to creating new tropes) or do we think it's beyond that point?

I mean, again, You Gotta Have Blue Hair also has a premade wick check. I don't see why we can't discuss it here; other threads have made weirder lumps in the past.

I mean, it's up to the mods more than anything, I just don't see why we can't lump it.

Note: Dye Hard is not written to cover characters who dye their hair in general, for x reason, its about people who dye for acting roles or to put on a show.

It needs a TRS in of itself for that.

• Characters who dye their hair in general, potentially to avoid persecution or discrimination like Setsuna in Negima! or Nikki in the new Guardians Of The Galaxy Game. Or to be a Yankii like Kanji in Persona 4.
• And Actors who dye their hair for a role or to put on a show.

The latter is Trivia for a given work, the former is a character trope.

Now, apparently Dye Hard is indeed trivia, but it's still broader than you think it is and according to the bottom has crossover with You Gotta Have Blue Hair? So the actual trope is just sort of vague nonsense, but it's not the trope about dyeing for an acting job.

Dye Hard's fictional examples just appear to be "Character dyes their hair" for the most part so it probably needs TRS as well.

Since this trope has been around since 2008 and has over 2,000 wicks, I think it might be a good idea to keep the crowner running for longer than the standard three days. I doubt it'll have any real effect on the outcome, but at least more people will have an opportunity to vote.

The crowner was already advertised on ATT. I don't think we need to do that again.
