So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

Oh, that's right I guess we use that namespace then
Macron's notesIs that namespace still 'active'? How would one go about posting there?
I just made a test page. It seems to still work, but the naming will have to change since hyphens are outdated.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Great idea! I'd be happy to contribute from time to time.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"That also sounds like a great idea!
Rock'n'roll never dies!Bumping, since we are starting Adorkable cleanup. What would help get this going? A sign-up sheet on a sandbox? Can we get moderator input on how this would be sent out to everyone?

There used to be a banner that would go on the main page whenever a new issue went up.
Perhaps we could launch a forum thread to field suggestions for the Needs More Wiki Magic Love, Add More Here, and Spotlight Stealing Trope, to lessen the work for whoever does the write-up for the week.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Sorry for forgetting this.
O think starting a Trope Report Recruitment post might help or we can just use this one.
Macron's notesYeah, that's a pretty good idea.
I think this one works?
Oh yeah this thread works.
So do we have to holler for mod opion to get things started officially.
Anyway some preliminary ideas for if we were to start sometime in the near future. Adding more later.
Forum Changes: - Don't really know what to put on this section besides nombretomado resigning as a mod.
Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes: Here all the TRS descisions go. (Maybe we should rename this?) - Adorkable is now a YMMV trope. Endearingly Dorky has been launched to catch examples where a character in a work finds another character's dorkiness/nerdiness endearing.
Macron's notesLull Destruction is now Filling the Silence to sound less negative and to lessen complaining about extra dialog you don’t like. We still need to clean the wicks, though.
Olive Garden is now known as Spaghetti and Gondolas, because not everybody thinks of Italy when they hear the name of a restaurant chain.

Rock'n'roll never dies!Hey, should I make an ATT post directing interested people here?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDone.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNever heard of this before.
It was a newsletter maintained until 2012. We're looking for people to maintain and revive it.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Ah, I see. I only joined this site around 2013.
Yeah, it was before my time too, but it sounds fun.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI have been around seen 2009 so I do kinda remember it?
I guess it's ok to start a sandbox now
Macron's notesSounds potentially interesting. It was also before my time as an active editor.
For the Needs Wiki Magic Love suggestions, I imagine we're going to bar fanfics, roleplays, and other such series that could very easily be the result of the author or a fan pimping them?
I don't see what the issue is with "fan pimped" works- isn't that the standard for every work on this site, except for the ones people hate?
I'm fine with barring Roleplays because those are a separate beast from the other mediums, but not fanfics. Maybe we can put fanfics in a separate section though, like "cool fanfic recs".
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI think that'd be best. Despite the There Is No Such Thing as Notability policy, it'd be difficult to expect people to be able to populate the trope page for a fanfic that requires that already requires a good deal of knowledge of the canon works it's referencing, with the same acuity as the original works, and thus it'd be better if they were treated as a separate beast.
Yeah. We can just say "hey, here are some cool HP/Sonic/MLP/etc fanfics you guys might want to check out".
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
Only the main Trope Report article was in Main; the individual issues were in the Newsletter namespace.
