That does do a better job demonstrating the entirety of the trope...as long as people are okay with the size of the text, it's got a solid from me.
Second one is already on Blasting Time.
1.1 is my favorite so far.
I prefer 3.1 because it helps demonstrate that the trope isn't restricted to the exact formula in the title.
The one there could use a quality upgrade though.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Trope creator here, as far as I recall I presented it as limited to that format... has it been changed since? If so is there a trope talk/TRS thread I could check?
I like 1.1.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Tropes are flexible. Why wouldn't 3.1 count?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'll go with 3.1.
(Annoyed grunt)When it's not limited to that format, though, I worry this would lead to overlap with [Verb] This!, since both are Stock Phrases involving taking someone else's words and repeating them to the other person.
I dunno. As much as U.S. Acres has a special place in my heart, I don't feel like advocating a trope merger for things that predate the "stock phrases are not tropes" ruling.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Actually, the image for [Verb] This! has a pretty poor quality, 3.1 would be a good replacement for that.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Actually, that comes from the same issue of Sonic comics; issue 74; that yielded the I Will Show You X! page image. I found that issue a couple decades ago on a trip to PEI, and I was taken aback by how different the tone was than... virtually any other Sonic content I ever saw prior; Darker and Edgier, big time; taking the "animal with attitude" premise, absurd as it was, and cranking it Up To Eleven with a Polite Villains, Rude Heroes theme. For whatever reason, when I got into TV Tropes about a decade ago, it reminded me of Sonic issue 74. Basically the two page images are two Shut Up, Hannibal! moments taken from two back-to-back pages of that same issue.
I could use direct scans for the Verb This one; they'd be clearer but less colourful.
...while I'm at it, I could also provide the context for the current page image for this one as well.
Better than the current, but I still prefer 1 for I Will Show You X! and 3.1 for [Verb] This!.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Clock is set.
I say 13.2 for I Will Show You X! for now.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Crowner?
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Crowner's hooked.
Going ahead and bumping this for votes; two options in the green ATM.
Late entry from Web of Spider-Man:
I've gone ahead and added it to the crowner, but I feel like the people discovering him make it fit something else better.

Nominations for replacement images:
Forgot to make "Suggestion" the thread reason.
The description says "In response to something character A says, character B takes parts X and Y of its wording, and says something along the lines of "I'll [X] You Some [Y]!" or similar variations." The current pic doesn't have the thing character A says, only character B's response. I think this image would be more appropriate (uses 2 panels out of 4)
