you missed an apostrophe in "can't" but otherwhise it's fine
PSA: a cat is not a dogI guess that works.
(Annoyed grunt)The current may not be a straight example, but it still illustrates the trope pretty well. 5 > current > 2.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.That's kinda how I feel.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI prefer American Dad over ... keeping those in the kitchen really sells it. But I think current is a stronger illustration overall. We've kept non-examples for being illustrative before, like on Sinister Minister.
American Dad
Thing is, Frank isn't a Gun Nut in that he owns them for show or Compensating for Something, he uses them daily (and as the example notes, he hardly limits himself to guns when killing people). A picture of someone using all their guns might be more illustrative.
The image doesn't have to be a perfect example, as long as it can illustrate the trope. We've an entire index of this sort of thing.

The logic someone that actually needs/uses the guns is exempt would also count out Stan Smith because he's a CIA agent, someone you'd expect to have guns around in fiction.
I also tend to agree with the precedent we set on Sinister Minister that even though Frank isn't really an example the image itself just illustrates the visual part of the trope so well I'd lean towards keeping it.
Tremors was mentioned above so here's several shots that actually have Burt's wall of guns in the background. Though they still aren't as good despite him fitting the trope better a crazy prepper type in the first movie.

They would not be bad by themselves, but they are too dark.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.It's a B-Movie from the 90s that was made on 11 million dollars (most of which likely went to paying oddly high-ticket stars like Reba Mc Entire and Kevin Bacon).
So unfortunately we're not gonna get individual frames much better than that due to the source material being pretty mediocre in visual quality to begin with.
Yeah, unfortunately the lighting in those scenes is just too dim for them to make good page pics.
I've gone ahead and hooked a crowner...the last three suggestions weren't added due to being too dark to make for good page pics.

Votes bump; two options in the green ATM.
Looks like we're keeping the current. The page is tagged and the other options are on the Image Links page. How's the current caption?
I've no issues with it.
(Annoyed grunt)No consensus on what to do with the caption; locking up.

Current illustration and caption for Gun Nut:
Problem is, Frank isn't an example of the trope (if anything, a Gun Nut would probably be someone he's wary of). To quote his actual example on that page:
