I know I'm not who was being replied to, but I'm against cutting Critical Annoyance on The Same, but More Specific grounds. Unlike Most Annoying Sound, that trope is objectively present, and its purpose (indicating low health) isn't subject to interpretation.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Fair enough.
Maybe In-Universe examples can be moved to one of the other Annoyance Tropes, such as Torment by Annoyance?
That could work.
Works for me as well.

I was thinking DarthWiki. The Most Annoying Sound should be made to catch Main. The Most Annoying Sound's inbounds. I tried cutlisting that redirect, but the request was declined, hence my suggestion to move that redirect to Darth Wiki.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I had actually created a Trope Finder ask for misophonic distress just a couple of hours ago before I knew about this thread. Maybe that could be created to help with funneling out some of the examples that don't fit the original meaning?
EDIT: Looking at those non-gaming examples, I'm thinking there may actually be a separate trope there for toys whose sounds become annoying with repetition, since there are a few media examples mixed into the Toys section. The wrestling example seems like a better fit for Torment by Annoyance since it's done deliberately to get on the nerves of the opponents of his wrestlers.

Do changes need to be made to the description when moving to Darth Wiki?
Gone ahead and moved the page. Added it to Wick Namespace Migration.
Shouldn't the page be filed under Flame Bait, since it's on Darth Wiki now? I mentioned Flame Bait earlier in the thread, but I don't think anyone else discussed it.
Edit: Either way, I made the redirect DarthWiki. The Most Annoying Sound so redirect currently located at Main. The Most Annoying Sound is on Darth Wiki as well.
Edit: Indexed DarthWiki. Most Annoying Sound under the main Darth Wiki index.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I'm not sure if Darth Wiki pages are automatically Flame Bait.
I wasn't completely sure either. That's why I asked.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. So, if the page is moved to Darth Wiki but isn't Flame Bait, can we still have examples on YMMV pages?
From what I understand, Darth Wiki items aren't allowed on the main wiki.
Let's get clarification before we start removing examples from YMMV pages, though.
Keet cleanupI'm a little unsure, since a lot of YMMV pages have small Nightmare Fuel sections, but besides that I've never seen a Darth Wiki trope on a normal YMMV page...
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNightmare Fuel just uses the Darth Wiki background in its subpages.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!I found this on the main Darth Wiki page:
Please note: Darth Wiki and Sugar Wiki do not go on main or YMMV pages. For more information, please read What Goes Where on the Wiki.

Wicks now below 2400.
Took it down to 2222, and interestingly, some examples are valid because they're In-Universe to a reviewer's experience.
Should Sensory Index index the trope?

Keet cleanupBTW, it's at 1956 now, and the namespaces left are Characters and beyond.

Crown Description:
What should be done with Most Annoying Sound? Option 1 is not mutually exclusive with options 2 and 3, but options 2 and 3 are mutually exclusive with each other.
With that in mind, does Critical Annoyance seem more like this trope but more specific?
