Suggestion from Frozen Fever:

or (this 2nd one shows the soup plate better, but unfortunately you can't see Anna's holding a spoon; on the other hand, Elsa looks more clearly sick (the point of the Trope) with her eyes closed)

I think the first is marginally better than the second, mainly because the spoon is more visible...I don't think Elsa's pose changes enough between the two to make that much difference.

There's also this thread that is apparently for both Nature Tinkling and Soup Is Medicine (though it's been focusing on Nature Tinkling so far).

That said, I agree with [up].

I'd like to use the first Elsa pic. I downloaded and clicked the "upload image" but it didn't show up. Can you please help?

For every low there is a high.

Question, in Japanese works instead of soup it is porridge [1][2][3][4][5] would that qualify for this? If so two images?

Its used in all kinds of works like Kikis Delivery Service, Hanasaku Iroha, Toradora, Akatsuki No Yona, Donten Ni Warau, Detective Conan, Usagi Drop, Sailor Moon, etc. Its the standard food for a Japanese Sick Episode exactly like soup, often it gets dubbed as 'soup'.

Or would this be a better issue for the repair shop?

Tropes Are Flexible

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

9.4 = 9.5 > 7

You can tell that they're sick in 9.4 and 9.5. idk it works better for me as an image than 7 if it's more explicit or obvious.

9.5 and 9.4 are the most illustrative. I'm picking 9.4 because the other one is a little artifacted, though.

Throwing in a vote for 9.4.

Didn't exactly vote before, but yeah [tup] 9.4. I didn't notice the artifacting, but enough of it's there in 9.5.

I like the not-exactly-soup image (9.4), it's more about the trope's meaning and less about its name.

That one is a fanart from Free, completely unsure of its exact source I found it via google.

A minor rewrite will probably be needed to mention the rice porridge or the thinner rice gruel and troll for examples as not a single one is on the page lol.

Hm, I don't like the pic as much as you do. Couldn't we get a live-action screengrab from a work?

I have some ideas, but cannot access the works at the moment.

Okay, right now we're sitting at 6 votes for 9.4, but the Frozen pic was already uploaded to the page. I personally prefer 9.4 because she's more obviously ill...go ahead with that or run a crowner between the two?

9.4 in wikisize. The slightly more sick-looking character wins out over Frozen.

Yep, the anime one is much better because of the sick look.

This is at the clocking point and the consensus is for 9.4, so it's swapped in and tagged. Caption?
