Could Jason Voorhees theoretically appear in this, or is he still stuck in Copyright Hell?
Developer Update:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/416-developer-update-november-2023
Made For This Nerf: Rather than triggering while injured, it will now trigger while Deep Wounded and will work while Exhausted. Endurance on healing remains as-is. Intent seems to be to tie endurance and speed effects together.
Trickster Buffs: Movement speed increases to 115% and he gets more knives, throws more at once, and should get Main Event much more often, but his terror Radius is upped to 32 meters, he will need more hits to damage, laceration will decay sooner, and Main Event will last half as long
Updates to Garden of Joy and Red Forest
Cosmetic option: Player Cards. Looks like an option to replace Prestige badges.
Re: Made For This, Legion and Deathslinger players might have a harder time, but otherwise I do like their mixing the effects more.

He still can't appear in movies, so I assume game guest appearances is also out.
We're likely not getting anything Jason until the entire legal battle is over.
#IceBearForPresidentand Yeah, sadly Jason's still a far off dream. Even his own game will be pulling the plug on its life support by the end of this year.
On the other hand, aformentioned game shutting down means that if the dispute ever is settled, Behavior will probably be gunning for him super hard since they don't have to worry about getting told no because he's starring in a competing game.

TY for the info. Was on my mind because I learned that the same people who made the Friday the 13th game recently released one for Texas Chainsaw, so Leatherface is now in that and DBD.
IT'S OFFICIAL! Stranger Things chapter is back in DBD!
Uni catHere's the trailer from the official DBD YouTube channel confirming it:
Teaser for tomorrow
Killer uses a knife. Now we have to figure out who uses a knife. It's not like half of the horror pantheon uses knives.
My guess is Chucky just to see how they make it work.
Uni catThe Savior from When Heaven Comes Down!
And that, I think, was the literal most obscure horror movie reference possible. Thank you, thank you!
Well well well it actually IS Chucky
Uni catOh yeah, that's definitely Brad Dourif's voice! Awesome!
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonPTB Patch Notes:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/419-7-4-0-ptb
His perks:
Hex: Two Can Play:
Anytime you are stunned or blinded by a Survivor 4/3/2 times, if there is no Hex Totem associated with this Perk, a Dull Totem becomes a Hex Totem. While the Hex Totem stands, Survivors who stun or blind you get blinded for 1.5 seconds.
Friends 'Til the End:
When you hook a Survivor that is not the Obsession, the Obsession becomes exposed for 20 seconds and reveals their aura for 6/8/10 seconds. When you hook the Obsession, another random Survivor screams and reveals their position and becomes the Obsession.
Batteries Included:
When within 12 meters of a completed Generator, you have 5% Haste. The movement speed bonus lingers for 1/3/5 seconds when you are no longer in range.
Damn, this game has really become the Smash Bros. of horror IP's.
I really should give it a shot one of these days.
Do not fuck with the Chuck is a go. I had a feeling this would be his turn since the only other horror icon associated with knives is Michael and he was here long before.
It's been 3000 years…This year might be the most unusal types of killers for this game. With a start with woman, then robot abomination, then alien abomination and now killer doll.
Where's my killer shark?

Uni catI'm not sure how a shark Killer could possibly work, given that water and swimming has never been implemented in this game. Maybe give it robot-legs to help it get around on land and an aquatic-breathing apparatus to ensure that it can't reverse-drown (and also a frickin' laser beam as either a weapon or the Mori)?
Personally, I'm hoping we eventually get a dragon of some sort as a Killer. Granted, they'd probably have to scale it down for the sake of gameplay balance, so maybe something along the lines of a Draconic Humanoid?
The next licensed killer is from Gyo!
More seriously, I'm wondering how Friends to the End will work with Furtive Chase. I'm assuming Furtive's effect will kick in before the Obsession swap, at which point you've got a new obsession to go looking for.
ETA: Played a bit of Chucky on PTB. Nothing major just some custom matches with my roommate to get a feel and some basic bots to try a build or two.
Two ideas are a stealth build, both for obvious reasons and because I love weird stealth builds. Also an endgame build, as there's a green add-on that doubles the length of his charge once the gates are powered.

You can chain speed bursts if you vault before it ends. You can even do it up to 4 times.
Chucky is like the unholy combination of Blight and Wesker.
Uni catApparently the DBD mobile game is getting a mode where you can play as two killers
Aren't we getting more modes this year? I wonder if this is kind of a test drive.
Uni catI give it two minutes before there's a match where the Survivors are up against two Ghostfaces, as per Scream tradition.
which iconic horror characters are yet to be featured in the game?
Depends on how you define “iconic.” Of the A-list slashers only Jason Voorhees is missing, as he’s presently stuck in Trademark Hell. There’s plenty of other horror villains with big fan bases though - the Tall Man from Phantasm, the puppets from Puppet Master, more recent characters like M3GAN…
We've got the Xenomorph, so it's reasonable to expect we'll get the Predator at some point. Springtrap is also a popular Killer request, and after a successful movie I think if FNAF wasn't on BHVR's radar before it probably will be now.
I can also think of three "horror-adjacent" franchises like Stranger Things that could potentially fit in the game: Terminator, Jurassic Park, and Ghostbusters. And for a total curveball, let's throw in Marvel Zombies or something wacky like that.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks Marathon
I haven't played for a couple months now (been on a fighting game kick lately) but I'm thinking this weekend I'll get back into playing more. Maybe play survivor w/ my roommate. Also some killer, see if my Totem Defense Skull Merchant build is still usable with her rework (probably not since it was mainly intended as a less frustrating re-application of her gen defense ability which is what was specifically nerfed), see how Furtive Chase works with my Stealth Legion, and try an Impossible Totem Trapper build I saw in a video (Iridescent Coil [auto-resetting traps] and Secondary Coil [longer disarming] with Hexes Plaything, Pentimento, Face the Darkness, and Thrill of the Hunt). Face the Darkness's screaming prevents 3/4 survivors from cleansing anything and even the fourth still has to deal with the lengthy disarming and cleansing.
