Needs Help: Video Game.Fire Emblem

Current image is an outdated logo that was used only for one game in the series. Since release of Awakening in 2012, the games have used this logo◊ for both main games and spin-offs, and I think this image should replace the current one.

Previous thread. Is there a version of that new logo that isn't monochrome? That's rather visually boring in comparison to the current.

The logo tends to be colored differently in different entries. Awakening is white (on black background), Fates Conquest is purple, Fates Birthright is red, Fates Revelations is cyan, Heroes is gold, Shadows of Valentia is also red (though it has a different gradient compared to Birthright). The big problem I think is that it is difficult to isolate just the Fire Emblem text from it, and I'm not sure if it would be legal to modify them like that.

imo the monochrome in the op works fine.

Regardless of what we do with the image, can we make the page quote the caption? It reads like a caption to me and I think we can use the series leitmotif's lyrics as the quote.

@Karxrida: About the caption and the new quote, what exactly is the new quote you mentioned?

I don't know the lyrics off the top of my head, I need to look them up. I know you can hear them on the title screen for Fire Emblem Heroes.

I found this thread on Serenes Forest linking to this Smash Bros Dojo page that have some lyrics for what seems to be the FE Theme (for the record, I can't use Youtube or play FE Heroes because I'm in China), but it's the Smash Bros Brawl version.

From the looks of it, the lyrics seem fine being the quote and I'm 100% OK with the current quote being the caption as well. On a side note, does anyone know where did the current quote came from?

Reading through that thread, half of the lyrics of the Brawl song may or may not be pseudo-Latin gibberish. I think figuring out and using the Heroes version (already in English) would be better.

I have no idea where the current quote came from. Maybe it was the tagline for one of the games?

It's from the Japanese version of Radiant Dawn. I'm fine keeping it as it is, considering it perfectly embodies the series.

Regarding using the English version of the Heroes theme, it's sadly all either too Engrishy or not realistically usable as a caption.

I concur with keeping things as is. (i.e. using new image and keeping the old quote as a quote)

x2 Was it the tagline, used in marketing, or is it a line of dialogue? Knowing would be nice to source it properly.

I mean keeping the quote as-is does work and I'd be fine with it, but something about it just screams "image caption" to me.

This thread on Reddit tried to decipher the Heroes main theme, and to me, it seems they did a pretty good job. Maybe these can work as a quote?

I feel the same, and I too can't pinpoint why.

edit: the whole verse would probably be too long, the first part ("chorus") should be enough.

Bump; I don't see any objections or better ideas, so if Willbyr agrees, later today I'll switch the images and quotes.

Image has been uploaded, switched and decorated with new quotes. I believe we're done here.
