I'm really enjoying this anime. Definitely my favorite of this season.
Satou is probably the most interesting character so far. But both Hikari and Macchi are fantastic whenever they're on screen.
I'm hoping once Takahashi learns of Macchi's feelings he let's her down gently. The guy is pretty empathetic, but he can be a bit tactless sometimes.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome Robx2 Seconded on Hikari. I need a Hikari to light up my life.
Yea lovin the series so far.
My only nitpick is they claim its a random mutation ala X Men but some of the instincts that they have displayed does not fit with being a random mutation and more hereditary. Machi's red hair and the Dullahan legend being an Irish fairy kind of lends credence to hereditary as well.
I wonder if Machi is turned off by gold now that I think about it.

Will probably go on with this, but allow me to catch up first...
EDIT: I'm unsure whether Crunchyroll's translating "ajin" as "monster people" is being correct, or an attempt to Follow the Leader?

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaHmm, if they're translating "ajin" as "monster people" it would certainly explain why Hikari says that it's much more PC to call them "demi" since I could see being referred to as monster people being very dehumanizing.
I mean the title. Their subtitle (handled by Funimation) uses Demi-human, which is fine, sort-of.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaAh, in that case they're just trying to catch the wave of popularity from Daily Life with Monster Girl
I've been reading the manga of this, and didn't know the anime existed until a few days ago. Anyway, I quite like it. And Hikari's the bright light of the show. So energetic, ditzy, and trolly.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah, Hikari's cheerfulness is ultra-adorable.
But wow, being a succubus sure is hard. Being a dullahan is also tedious.
Tetsu has nerves of steel.
Of course he does. It's right there in his name!
Mad respect for "Iron Man".
We can open an Awesome subpage just over what Hikari told to the gossipers in Episode 4.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaI usually stay away from adding stuff to those pages, but between Hikari and Takahashi, very little is left unsaid in this episode. And yeah, awesome is the word for it.
I really like how the conversation at the end went completely with and complately against what she thought.
I'd sum his description of Hikari up as: Hikari is Hikari. She's not defined by either being a high-school girl, nor a vampire. She's defined by what she makes up the combination of them.
I think Satou's biggest concern is that she's a nervous wreck. Or at least for her, personally. For others it's still what she thinks. And sometimes forgets about. Because she's a nervous wreck.
Check out my fanfiction!Sakie's nervousness is something the anime came up with. She isn't skittish at all in the manga. She freaked out when she accidentally grasped Tetsuo's hand (which was actually the first time they interacted in the manga) and had a little jealous fit in her conversation with Kyoko but that's it.
True, I've read the manga, but in the anime, she is like that.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm kind of torn over which version of Satou I prefer.
Lots of good stuff from episode 4, as usual, but the main takeaway is that Hikari. Is. The. Best.
The hugs segment played out like I thought it would beat-for-beat and it still had me clenching my gut in laughter. That's some good comedy.
EDIT: Looking into it, the director for this show is a newbie, having directed only three episodes of Shokugeki no Soma, the Love Live Sunshine OP and GATE. Color me impressed. The direction here is fantastic.

I think she's a little bit too much of a nervous wreck.
Check out my fanfiction! This show is nice.
Good, it looks like there's no need to worry about Yuki (talk about an easy name) going Elsa.
Yuki sure seems to like Hikari, she'll definitely let Hikari succ her (blood, BLOOD, PEOPLE) soon. -coughing fit-
Poor awkward third-wheel Machi. Still best gril.
Awkwarder fourth-wheel Takahashi.
Satake-kun has a name, it's Satake-kun (did we know this?)
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Episode 5: I'm sorry but Hikari is just the most precious character in this entire anime season.
I've really got to read the manga. Although I'm not sure if I want to do so now, or after the anime is done.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThat entire moment was "cute" awkward...teachers can be the most that way.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Satake and the two "bullies" have names in the anime... the first names of their seiyuu. Which means they probably don't have names.
I just knew Kodansha USA already picks this up... now at volume 2.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaHikari brightest character. The demonstration of why they use what names is great.
Yuki's cute and kind. Well, they're all kind.
Check out my fanfiction!Hikari's nibbling of people is adorable.◊ Then her different reactions to her different nicknames. At this point I've been conditioned to squee whenever Hikari is onscreen.
Kyouko. Kyouko. Kyouko.
Yuki is buddies with not only Hikari and Machi, but also the two gossiping girls! And Satake-kun.
The framing of this show continues to be excellent. That lone petal obscuring Yuki's picture speaks maybe not volumes, but quite a lot.

Is that suppose to signify that she's out of focus?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.
Demi-humans such as vampires, dullahans and succubi have been around for a long time, but it's only recently that they have begun to be accepted as members of society. Takahashi Tetsuo is a biology teacher who has been always interested in demi-humans but never had a chance to meet them.
That is, until one day he encounters not one, not two, but four demi-humans. He reaches out to these "demis" in his desire to learn more about what makes them tick, and also ends up helping them adjust to school and work through other issues.
Episode 3: Some screentime for our socially stiff succubus.
