This pic was shot down in the Image Suggestion thread.

Someone else suggested combining it with this pic in the same thread. Thoughts?

I think that may be the only way we can pull it off.

Here's an example from the show itself: dragon skull in the catacombs of the royal castle from season 1.

The problem with putting an image in here is how do you show 'the dragons went away' part? Without a comic panel discussion I have no idea.

This signature says something else when you aren't looking at it.

With a caption, perhaps? Something along the lines of "Dragons: before and after Daenerys Stormborn"?

Spiral out, keep going.

[up] That just makes it a JAFAAC.

I was thinking how can we pull this off... maybe there was a piece of art showing dragons terrorizing a city where a kingdom once stood?

EDIT: Found some: 1, 2. Maybe one of these will work?

Could an infochart work? Something that shows the timeline, like "The evolution of man" picture, only with dragons?

Ideas from Shadowrun, where the first dragon returning was the Great Dragon Ryumyo flying past a Japanese Bullet Train

The otherwise modern setting might help since we don't have dragons IRL?

Is this a subtrope of Species Lost and Found? Because 8.1 and 8.2 remind me of that Rex pic from the current crowner. Anyway, if this overlap is no problem, I am good with 8.1.

^ Species Lost and Found is for real animals, such as the Coelacanth. The fantasy equivalent is Not So Extinct.

Ok, let me get this straight: Not So Extinct is for species that were only thought extinct while The Dragons Come Back is for those that actually were but are back now anyway? How can the image make this distinction visible? We don't want to entice misuse.

As do I.

I think 8.1 or 8.2 is a better fit for Not So Extinct.

14.2 is pretty cool. Maybe "A long-dead legend begins anew" as the caption?

What is the top part of 14.2 standing for?

Is there a slightly different angle of that scene that makes the skull a little more clear, or doesn't cut off its left canines?
