The pic has to Bad Ass looking guys fighting, but it doesn't really show the "implacability" aspect.

As a replacement I would recommed The Saint of Killers walking out of the fires of a nuclear blast:

Neither, to me, gets the "implacable" part across clearly. It's almost certainly going to take a collage showing the various things used to stop the character and their failures to get the trope across clearly...this might have to end up being a BUPKIS page if we can't find something.

Not really a fan of any of them. Terminator is weak, Preacher overlaps way too much with Out of the Inferno, and I'm not even sure how GG is supposed to relate to this trope.

How about using 2 images of Michael Myers from Halloween (1978) the first image would show him laying down seemingly dead and the next image would show him attacking once again. We could do something with Jason Vorhees as well.

The basic idea I had is showing the hero seemingly successful in killing the monster only for the next image showing the monster returning.

Y'know, I used to really like the Terminator image used here, but thinking about it, I suppose the T-1000's kind of Just A Face, isn't he? I mean, I guess he looks like he's after... uh, the viewer, I guess, and he's in an area that's on fire, but... nothing really says "unstoppable" here.

Might be a good film series to try and source an image from, though, given it's kind of the point behind it.

The Terminator is definitely JAFAAC. It's relying on knowledge of the movie to get the point across, because there's barely any context in the picture.

I think the OP is kind of weak but better than the Terminator.

I got some picks of the Meta that convey the surviving injury part when put together, though I'm not sure if they totally illustrate the trope.

[1], [2] , [3], and [4]

Or we could just have the second one paired up with this.

Clock is set. I'm voting to make this a BUPKIS page if a good suggestion doesn't come forward.

There's a scene in the Simpsons that parodies this when Principal Skinner just walks straight through a raging river to pursue Bart.

^ That's the more specific Non-Giving-Up School Guy, which could use an image as well. Panel suggestions on the right.

I think 16 gets it across.

To be clear, is 16 a suggestion for Implacable Man, or Non-Giving-Up School Guy? It could feasibly work on both, but I was under the impression that, since the latter is a narrower subtrope of the former, 16 was being suggested for it first and foremost.

I'll support adding it to Non-Giving-Up School Guy.

I support 16 for OP. It fits the trope well and nothing seems especially schoolish about it, particularly if you don't know the context of the characters (which is hard given it's The Simpsons but still possible)

[up] I tend to agree. Getting the school part across would require a caption with those particular panels...as is, it seems a better fit for Implacable Man.

The clock is up. I've gone ahead and put the Skinner pic on Implacable Man. If/when we get another pic that works as well for this particular trope, this pic can be moved to Non-Giving-Up School Guy. Locking up.
