Musou Stars, aka Koei Tecmo Warriors

The game probably entered production too early to include Blue Reflection P Cs.

It is really unusual that they didn't include Sterk and Rorona though seeing how they made it into orochi 3.

Apparently they were really torn on Atelier reps, so they simply went with Sophie because she was from the latest game and would appear in the one being released in the interim.

Never played, but wasn't it only Sterk in Orochi 3? And Sterk was in his Meruru clothes. If we were getting another Atelier rep, I think it would be Totori by pure popularity of her game - we did get her battle theme in it.

There's a PC PORT!?

I'm getting it sometime soon, then. I've been convinced by Jesse Cox playing as Oda Nobunyaga. I'm on board for that and that alone.

After playing a bit, I have some stuff to ask/think about:

Kindly tell me about cards.

• Only one card can be equipped to a character at a time?
• Card that has an element listed, what does it do? Change all the attacks to that element?

Kindly tell me about acquaintances.

• Any effects for increasing this?

Kindly tell me about that special attack I don't understand, where many enemies appear...

• WTF IS THIS LOL
• Why doesn't it increase my actual KO count?

Kindly tell me about the hot springs.

• Does Nobunyaga ever take a dip? I need to see this.

From my own playing:

• You can only equip one card at a time, and elements adds that element to your weapon (Though I don't know if it changes your attack to that element or adds elemental damage on top of your normal damage. Haven't met any enemy that nulls the element yet <<;)

• Increasing acquaintances unlocks passive skills, and increases stats for companions with high regard for your current character in the battle field. Also unlocks special dialogue and bath scenes between the two if you increase their Regard for each other

• The Musou Rush let's you keep attacking without being interrupted by the enemies looks like (I've been using it as a way to get rid of high-bravery enemies I want to get rid of early). Also, you get added rewards if you kill lots of enemies during the Musou Rush so button mash away.

• Yes, even Nobunyaga gets a dip with everyone , so get to increasing his regard for your character (and your character's regard for him)

And the rush, I was getting 200-500 at first so I thought it should add to the normal KO count since it's so low, but I'm getting like 1500 now so, yeah... too broken to add it now... :)

On the bright side, they did put an Anti-Frustration Feature there. If the character you're currently using has more Regard for one of their party members than the other way around, said party member will gain Regard levels faster than usual until their Regard levels are equal.

EDIT: And it turns out I was wrong, as I just got a specialized Hot Springs event with someone I hadn't played as yet <<;. Looks like there are two separate Hot Springs events for a pair depending on who's entering on who.

Well I dunno, while I don't like using anyone other than Nobunyaga, I'll probably just have to try out other peeps for a change...

Ugh, too bad William is in another faction.

Which faction did you get? I got Setsuna's since I picked Arnice, and I managed to recruit both Nobunyaga and William early in the campaign.

Well I haven't played this game much recently thanks to Pokken DX and I'll be installing Marvel Infinite soon, but... let's see...

Ok, so Nobunyaga is on Setsuna's team.

I can't find William. The trope page and Koei wiki says William should be on Shiki's team. Is there a way to recruit the characters from the enemy faction? Is it totally random based on the maps being handed to me, but with the characters from our own faction being easier to find?

edit: I just remembered that Jesse Cox was able to recruit Yukimura who is also supposed to be on Shiki's team. I should probably re-watch how he found him.

Only certain characters are locked to a specific faction for most of the game, while others could be recruited early once the conditions are met. Rule of thumb is, if you don't face them as an enemy, you could unlock the stage to recruit them.

Checking the Battle Rumors, you need to recruit Honoka, Millenia, and Rio first before you can unlock William's stage.
