Gemini-King's Mercy to Island Jungle

Gemini had been with one of the others who went to the island in a boat. As she arrived, she noticed Ranma swimming and was quite impressed with his ability to keep up.

At the conversation about communication, Gemini thought about mentioning her Cameratron, but as the group moved ahead, she pushed the thought aside as she attempted to keep up, deciding to wait for a free moment.

Felix - Rock Climbing, Isaac (Forest)

The mercenary followed the girl in green with the roman numeral four on her head. He looked up the stone wall where the fire was starting to fade. He figured that the best option was to climb the wall, so he did so. Due to the training at UNSC, he figured this wall shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Adam - Dropping First-Person

Adam and his team had made for the land, and later on, the jungle as the cyborg followed the white-haired man, Soma. With a blade in his right arm to cut through the foliage, he pressed onward.

'''Jak and Daxter-On the Island"

"As a matter of fact, we've got radio," Jak said to Superman. As if on cue, a tiny radio like device sprung forth from Jak's coat, before it grew to full size.

"Yeah, we're connected to everyone already, so let's move it, Jak!" And with that, the two ventured into the jungle, memories of their childhood adventures trekking through the Forbidden Jungle helping them forward.

It was then the group heard the beating of drum. "Sounds like the natives," Daxter said, a nervous edge to his voice. "PUH-LEAAAASEEE let them be friendly."

Kage - Beach - Far And Above Your Calling

Of course, wave off a good enough plan because there wasn't enough blood. Smiley might be at least a little familiar with the idea that it was bad to kill each other instead of the enemy, but there was no helping her when it came to plans that meant being so much better than the enemy that you didn't have to get into a fight or if you did, it was in your favor. Well, no matter. I tried again. I'd forgotten about that damned bird myself, but it gave me an idea.

"Once your bird there spots the other ship, sure, why don't we get over to it and shadow it from the jungle while some of us go scouting for the other team? That way we'll be in place to both block'em from their ride out and anyone who wants a fight can go hunting them down. That enough fighting for you, boss?"

Tira (Beach)-Raven Report

Before Tira could reply to anyone, the raven returned, landing on Tira's arm as she raised it up, and then it cawed several times as it delivered the report. Tira nodded, but frowned.

So Thany says the ship is way out in the water, circling around, which is really annoying, we can't burn down the ship and kill everyone if they're not on the beach! Why are they being meanies and ruining my fun?

With this information, Tira turned to Kage to address his ideas. Well....ya, I guess we're gonna have to do that now if we wanna have any fun. It shouldn't be hard to find where they went in, Thany said they had a bunch of rowboats on the beach they used.

She then scratched her head. But, I don't know what you mean by having him "shadow". What's his shadow going to do for us? Give us shade from the sun?

Juri, On the Beach

"Smart bird," Juri chuckled slightly. "I thought it'd could just lead us to the ship rather than having us wander aimlessly."

"What Kage meant by 'shadow' is having your bird keep an eye on the ship, but that's a bit pointless if the other group used rowboats to get here," Juri crossed her arms and frowned. "I guess this means all the fighting's going to be around the princess if both sides' ships will be circling the island outside the reach of anyone thinking about destroying them."

"This means we might have to join the others and find the damn princess," Juri scoffed at what she said.

Chun-Li, Landing

Chun-Li to her credit basically rowed her boat ashore all by herself. She wasn't crazy enough to swim to shore like Ranma, but she did have the strength to not need any help getting her rowboat to shore. When Obi-Wan mentioned the drums, Chun-Li turned to him as she headed into the jungle.

"No, but this island might have native inhabitants as the... um, ferret has mentioned," Chun-Li suggested to the others. "I don't think we want natives finding the princess either."

Teppei, Human Form ==> Goblin Form, Landing

The moment the boat got close, Teppei hopped out of the bow and dragged it to the sand. He hadn't even seen it done before, but seeing other people do it made it pretty obvious. Then, with that done he stepped a reasonable distance away from anyway, and drew on his power. The fire in him burned even hotter, and he was quickly covered in growing flames and liquid metal. In a moment, a 12ft titan of dark metal stood where the young boy had been.

Back to the boat, the goblin-boy hefted his gear with ease, strapping it to him and taking his behemoth sword in hand. He approached the group looking to move forward into the jungle, talking about possible other people. He sniffed the air, taking in the scents, but the thick smell of the jungle and the people around him made it almost impossible to tell. Moving forward, Teppei stomped through the brush after everyone, flattening bushes and saplings under his hooves. "If there are people besides the princess, the smoke might be our best bet. It's faded, but I should be able to smell the burning wood of the fire."

Ryuko - Left Behind (King's Mercy)

Ryuko waved at the teammates rowing to shore, shouting a sly "Have fun!" to inject a bit of humor into the situation. With the rowboats mainly out of sight, Ryuko paced over to the edge of the ship to observe the waters and sailors getting the ship ready to circle around the island. All the while, she casually looked up at the sky and saw a suspicious bird circle around the ship then back to what seemed like the other side of the island.

"Hm. Looks like they've landed already..." Ryuko muttered, planting her scissor blade on to the deck. "More than likely, they'll want to come to the ship sooner rather than later. I hope they make quick work of finding this princess."

Azula - The Jungle Book

Credit where it was due, Azula thought the men cutting through the jungle path as to make the path easier to cross. It made it easier for her to take note of her surroundings and potential threats that might pop up during their search. So far, other than the animals in the background, there was nothing worth noting. On the path was the scent of a dying fire all too familiar to Azula, which was found on the top of a rocky hill. However, one strayed off to find a different yet easier looking path. She weighed her options.

Do you know that path is where the princess lies? Azula said over to Deathstroke. She cleared her throat. I would believe that splitting up now would complicate our search, no?

Deathstroke - Jungle

"Absolutely no idea, girl," Slade replied to Azula as he continued to start heading down the path but was not yet on it to the point where he couldn't reply. "But I have more than my fair share of experience with surviving on a desert island, and there are only two reasons someone being chased by pirates would stay near a fire. She's monumentally stupid, or she's laid a trap. In either of those scenarios, I have no intention of sticking to the herd like a lamb to the slaughter."

Aria - Beach (Of Evil)

"If we know where they landed, we just need to know where they're going and draw a line," Aria said, pulling up a holographic map of the island on her omnitool. It was patchwork and incomplete, the general shape of the island being a guess from what they've seen of it so far, but it was at least something. She put a finger to the edge of the map, then traced it across the map, causing a line to form. Then she brushed it away with the back of her hand, removing all trace of the line.

"Of course, the VI can draw what we've already seen, she added, and a line appeared on the map marking the path they had traveled so far, and she pointed her finger at the end of the line. "That's the path we currently took. Think you can mark the points of interest that your crow saw?" she asked Tira.

Tira (Beach)-A line in the (theoretical) sand

Tira took a moment to look annoyed as she shoved a finger into Aria's face, Hey, he's a Raven, not a Crow! It's a really important difference, get it right!

Then Tira switched to her other personality as she leaned in close to the map. What do you think, Thanatos, can you point at the spot?

The raven looked at the map, pausing a moment as it strained the limits of its tiny bird brain to both remember the location and plot it on the map. Then it leaned forward and attempted to tap a specific spot on the map, cawing as it did so.

He says that's the spot. He didn't see anything else, he went over the treeline, so he didn't have a clear view on anything.

The Raven cawed again, and Tira's scowl deepened in confusion. Odd. He says he did hear something else. Apparently someone was playing.....drums? She looked at Thanatos to confirm, and he cawed again. Yes, drums. He can't nail down a specific location, but he thinks they were coming from the east.

Tira took a second to consider what this could mean. Hmmmm...What if this woman we're after ran afoul of some idiot savage natives? That would explain the drums if they're enacting some idiotic ritual before they throw her into a steaming pot to eat her or sacrfice her to some stupid god or something else equally idiotic

Soma, Jungle Search

The drums? Well, in this climate it can only mean one thing. "I'm gonna say, I don't enjoy the idea of fighting a tribe of cannibals or whatever the sort hides around here." I mutter dejectedly, rolling a shoulder and then summoning the axe. It rests comfortably in my hand, as it always has been. Might be worth cutting some of the foliage if it becomes too thick, though so far I've been managing to move through with little problem.

"However, since the princess is the requirement for a win in the challenge, I presume the producers saw to her invulnerability. I hope." Disregarding the ignoble death in a boiling pot, it would make for a very anticlimactic challenge and nobody would be happy with that. "We should still try and locate her and the natives, though avoiding needless fighting might be prudent."

Four, Jungle Speed

Deathstroke's words were not without merit, but a path in such thick, lush jungle could only mean somebody lived here, such as the locals. They were very likely to set their own traps, if only to capture the original intruder - the princess herself.

"The island is not as deserted as you may think, sir. That very path proves it." Didn't it? It seemed obvious to Four. Climbing the upslope - well, more like jumping from one place to another - was nothing to her, the sovereign of the Land of Mountains. Gods bless a practical footwear. Someone like Five would no doubt break a leg in her stupid heels-ah, but she was getting distracted. "Now, tribal savages are hardly an opponent, but they can prove an effective distraction, if only because they know this island better than us."

"And I imagine we do not want her to be held captive by evolutionary deficients."

Jan, Murdersquad

"Oh, balling. It's about time we do some fucking Columbus action, am I right? Shooting some idiots to bits sounds like a good warmup." Jan grinned at the mention of what appeared to be the locals.

And then he had to give Harley a good look of confusion. "Are you coming onto me? But yeah, fuck, I'm starving. Didn't have any blood before going out." He grumbled, reminding himself of that. "Anyway, so I guess we're going into the jungle then?"

Suika, The Heroes' Technical Partition of The Island
Among the everything that happened in the last half hour, Suika had tried to present evidence of her valiant thievery to Sousuke after figuring out he was the Fumoffu guy all along (now that's a disguise), but she couldn't.

No matter how vile it was, she wanted some kind of honorable recognition, dammit!

With the underwear sitting in her back pocket, forlorn, she heard the sound of drums in the distance like everyone else. "Hey, hey! I've got an idea! We don't attack them, we get someone to pose as a god and we sway them to our favor! I've tried it before, it's a pretty good plan, if you ask me."

Penemue, The Portion of this Island that could be described as belonging to The Villains
Considering how much value he placed in getting out of this nightmare, it was a mystery to all but Penemue that he didn't bother talking with their friend in corporate. And a mystery it shall be, forever more.

He could get behind Deathstroke's line of logic, definitely. Though he had a feeling some rich girl might be capable of being monumentally stupid, who's to say this wayward path doesn't snake around to it in any case? They needed to cover ground. This was mostly an extraction mission before it was a straight assault.

Falling in alongside Deathstroke as they walked forward, he turned and nodded to Kage as he left. They'd cover more metaphorical check-out-the-weaklings ground, one in each group, anyway.

"Evolutionary deficients, huh?" Now caught up in current time, Penemue said that to Four. "I'd doubt they'd change their opinions on her if they were right in the mind or not. What makes you think they're deficient?"

Ahsoka - Hero's beachhead

The young jedi had spent the ride crouched at the prow of her longboat, and the moment the boats keel scraped the sand she had leapt forwards to run the first few steps up the beach, looking around.

Seeing the others linking their carious communications systems together, she raised her left wrist and started fiddling with the comlink mounted there. In a few moments, the common hero channel was carrying another signal. "Ahsoka here, I've set my comlink to this frequency as well."

"I'm not sure the idea of impersonating a deity sits very well with me..." She admitted as the short horned girl chimed in. "But it would certainly mean less bloodshed if it worked."

Four, Not As Smart As You May Think

"Look around, if you please." She replied to Penemue, circling the landscape with her glove. "With the knowledge that some people live here, what does it say of them that they choose to dwell in the savage jungle which looks to be untouched by a human's hand?"

"Either they are incapable of subjugating the jungle to their whims or are too lazy to do so. You tell me which one of these is worse."

"But no matter." She brushed her jacket off and, metaphorically, brushed Penemue's mildly uncomfortable question off as well. "Simply see to it that any third party is removed from the equation, so they don't bother us during the altercation with the other team."

Soma, Playing God?

"I mean, we could just try to avoid them if possible." Impersonating a God in a setting like this usually either ends flawlessly or horribly wrong, I feel. "There's no guarantee that playing God won't bite us in the end."

Kage - Competence on the Battlefield is a Myth

Knuckles made a good point. No sense in following the other ship around if they can just put out with boats from anywhere on the beach and catch up to it later. And apparently there were some natives, probably feral worlders who were jungle-wise like nothing else. They'd be a pain to fight. But maybe we could turn this around.

"If these tribals are anything like the ones I've met, they're all about strength. If we find them, knock their chief's head off or something and show them we're in charge, maybe we can sic them on the other team. Or if nothing else, we can keep them from bothering the others looking for the girl. Sounds good to me, and we've wasted enough time talking. There's no shortage of things to kill in the jungle, anyhow. How about it, boss, we good to go?"

Ranma

Upon reaching the part of the geography where the water level started to thin out to make room for steadily ascending land, Ranma slowed down her torpedo like speed so as to not crash into the island's sandbar, calmly drifting the last dozen of meters through momentum alone before standing up out of the salty seawater with a look of annoyance at the amount of wet garment sticking on her frame. Marching upwards the beach in a decidedly unfeminine bow legged jot, the pigtailed girl all but grunted at the fact heard about the impersonation of gods.

"Man, I hope there aren't any actual kooky deities. Facing one in combat was hard enough already, especially once he started melting mountains." Using the Gekkaja to draw out all the excess moisture into a frozen shell about her body, the girl then shattered the impromptu cocoon to emerge as a not quite as dry but definitely not as wet martial artist a few seconds later. "So what's the plan, we just sidestepping the yahoos around these parts for now?"

Ok, so let's go kill people then! With that, Tira turned and entered the jungle, heading east toward the general direction of where her bird heard the drums.

Steep climb, or well-worn path?

Despite the efforts of the familiar-sounding man in armour, Neo decided that the path was the best course of action, and started walking down it. She quickly passed the group who were arguing it's merits, rolling her eyes as she did so.

It was obvious, wasn't it? She doubted the pirates had circled the island, so the Princess had landed here, or nearby. And a princess wasn't going to run straight up a hill: she'd follow the path, and look for help down it.

"Yeah, something tells me the princess is immune to harm." The vampire hummed as he strolled after Tira, adjusting his pirate hat slightly. "I mean, that would suck ass if she just up and got eaten or whatever, especially for the producers. Gotta keep 'em ratings, know what I'm saying?"

Four, Jungle Speed

"Torture is inhumane and beneath our dignity, good sir." In a stark contrast with her earlier words, Four shook her head in dismissal of Deathstroke's idea. "And besides, you cannot expect an animal to speak human language." Yes, that was more in line.

Considering the discussion over she turned back to her climb, gracefully jumping from slope to slope in an effort to reach the top.

Hero Beach

Hazel would be able to sense that the island was lush and had much variety, despite its small size. The sand around her where she stood yielded nothing much in terms of metallic composition - some monazite and quartz and a few washed up doubloons. However, she might be able to tell either from a familiarity with such terrain or her own powers that deeper in the jungle lay some more precious metals - namely diamonds.

"Let me know if you need any assistance with those drums and whoever's beating them. I am going to the signalfire remains and see if the princess or some clues to her whereabouts might be there." Qui-Gon called out as he continued to cut through the jungle towards the center of the island where the last smolderings of the princess' signal fire were.

Drum Sounds and A Strange Path Leads To...An Island Camp

Those on the villainous side who decided to follow the well-worn path and those on the hero side trudging through the jungle to follow the sounds of the drums would find that these all eventually led to a large clearing in the jungle where a series of wooden huts gathered around a campfire and several natives, adorned in loincloths, skull necklaces, and beaded jewelry were beating drums and chanting. It was difficult to tell just how many natives there actually were in this small village as they were wearing paint on their faces and torso that let them blend in with the jungle. However, it seemed to be at least thirty and no more than fifty.

Superman from the air would be able to see that this was not the only place where natives were gathered either. On the eastern shores, a father was teaching his sons how to fish. Deeper in the jungle, several hunting parties were trying to fetch food and there was a smaller series of huts in the middle of the island. Unfortunately, for the Man of Steel, it was a bit difficult to find out any more as the lush jungle was so teeming with life that even his X-Ray vision and super hearing weren't pinning down the princess' location. It was possible that she was one of the many people in the huts below but it was hard to tell.

Speaking of the natives, instead of sacrificing somebody to a god or devouring the young girl, the natives seemed gearing up for a war party, as they were readying spears, knives, bows and arrows, and small clubs and adorning themselves with paint. One of the younger ones - who couldn't have been more than sixteen - let out a shout as he pointed up in the air where the flying feet of Superman were. One of his friends shot an arrow at the flying man but it fell well short of its target. However, those natives who followed the arrow's path with their gaze suddenly noticed the very colorful villain squad coming down the path towards their camp.

"OOOHSSLAKKAA!" the largest of the natives, with what appeared to be armor made from tree bark, shouted. He shot a quick arrow at Slade, given the mercenary's close proximity but it went just over the villain's head. The natives looked confused and suddenly began grouping up and looked prepared to storm into the jungle and kill anyone who didn't look like them. It was up to the villains and heroes nearby how to react to this. Given their surprise, the natives still hand't fully mobilized so there was still some time.

Smoldering Signal Fire

Trudging up the elevated center of the island, Teppei, Qui-Gon and whoever else headed that way would find that the princess had taken refuge near a small hill where she had lit a large portion of now-blackened wood. The area didn't appear to be a camp but the princess had clearly been here. A white parasol was leaned up against a tree and small footprints in the dirt led away from this place although, the foliage made tracking them difficult. Qui-Gon analyzed the parasol.

"She appears to have left one of her posessions. Maybe she'll be back?" he asked Teppei, frowning as he sensed the disturbance in the Force that arose from the restlessness and fear of the natives.

Genji Shimada - Meet the Natives

Following the jungle path led to Genji and his allies running into the native tribe. One of them even ended up shooting an arrow towards Superman in the sky, but that didn't get anywhere close to working. Worse yet, the enemy team had also shown up and already been provoked. There was no doubt that a big fight was about to break out and the natives were at a big disadvantage there.

"Looks like a fight will be starting soon, I will try to support you while trying to keep myself hidden," Genji whispered to his team.

Taking advantage that the natives were distracted and probably distracting the villain team as well. Genji began travelling around the clearing, using the trees and greenery around him to hide himself from view.

Vile - Finally Some Fun

Vile ended up taking stumbling around the jungle since he went in first and completely alone. This whole experience was not making him very happy with nature, to say the least, but eventually he did end up stumbling across the clearing, not too far away from the rest of his team that was also there.

He got there just in time to see one of the natives fire an arrow at his ally. Well, that was a good enough excuse to start gunning some people down, not that he needed much of one.

"Well, this is gonna be therapeutic," said Vile, sound quite eager.

Changing his arm into a machine gun, he began opening fire at the natives, not really caring about which ones he was firing at. Plus, if his team was competent at all they could capitalize on the distraction he was offering by firing from a different location. Those primitive humans were far from being a serious threat either way, so it wasn't like he needed help in dealing with them. Of course, he hadn't noticed that there was a third group in this clearing.

Teppei, Goblin Form, Signal Fire

Teppei kneeled down, his knee sinking into the dirt slightly as he brought his head closer to the site. He sniffed the area, trying to judge how long it might have been since the princess had been there by any lingering scent.

The goblin-boy then turned his head to look at Qui-Gon. "If she hasn't gotten into trouble before she could. I think we should try to follow. If she's going to try and come back, it'd be the way she came anyway, right?"

Roman Torchwick, Island Camp

Having come to a similar conclusion to his partner, Roman followed the worn path towards the village. He stopped along with the rest of the group as they looked over the village and villagers. The criminal openly sneered in disgust. "How charming. Living like animals." Then one fired an arrow at one of the group, and missed. He chuckled darkly. "And they think they can fight us. They're in for a surprise."

Then someone opened fire on the natives. "Speaking of." Roman simply watched and waited to see what happened next.
