Seems sensible to me.
Good idea.
(Annoyed grunt)Move.
Check out my fanfiction! For the record, a previous thread moved the image here from Expy. But I agree that it fits Self-Plagiarism a lot better.
Yeah, let's go with it.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThe move is made and both pages are tagged. I'm not sure how to go about pic'ing this one.
I think we need a collage of different archetypes. The only thing that's coming to mind right now is something out of the Tarot card collection◊.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"World mythology seems like something good to tap for this. Stuff like mother goddesses, dying-and-rising gods, the Allfather, etc.
Clock is set.
Kind of a weak suggestion, but maybe an illustration of an earth◊ mother/sky father duo◊ with a caption explaining that it's a common thread in many world mythologies (eg. An and Ki in Sumerian mythology, Ouranous and Gaia in Classical Mythology, Rangi and Papa in Maori mythology, etc)
I would prefer a choice selection of Tarot cards, they'd convey it better.
Not sure how that wouldn't go better under Tarot Motifs.
This is honestly so broad I'm inclined to vote BUPKIS and call it a day.
I can get behind BUPKIS.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"+1 to BUPKIS this one.
Yeah, BUPKIS sounds good.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportGood enough. It's tagged and added to the BUPKIS list. Locking up.
An Archetypal Character is "a character who appears over and over in legends far and wide, even in cultures that have shut themselves off from the world." The image shows the same set of characters showing up in all of a creators works, not character types that are ingrained in many different cultures. I think the image should be moved to Self-Plagiarism: it's one creator recycling his own specific pet characters.
