I want to join, but I don't have enough time to type up a character sheet right now. I'll probably have one up by tomorrow. Is the actual RP thread set up yet, gregnes, or are you just waiting for more players?

I'm waiting for more. Since ThisGuy is going with a monster, it's only two humans. With three, though, we'd be able to go places.

By the way, don't worry, there will still be some 'traditional' rp with my character.

His last name Lennon but it's classified. Also, if you really want to imagine what his face looks like then think Loki from the Thor movie. XD

Alright, I'm an impatient fellow. I'm starting it.

IT BEGINS

• Name: Sir Lawrence (Original name is unknown)

• Age:47

• Country of origin: America

• Abilities:
  • Swordsmanship - Years of practice with medieval weaponry have granted him with a sizeable amount of experience with his primary weapon, the sword. A knight's real weapon is a lance and his horse, but Sir Lawrence has found that taking a lance to crowded places to be quite burdensome and he keeps on having his horses killed. So for the sake of economy he has opted to stay with his sword.

  • Martial Arts - Besides having skill with the sword, he's no slouch when it comes to fighting with his bare fists.

  • Horsemanship - Sir Lawrence knows how to raise a horse and teach it how to fight.

  • Faith - The man is a firm believer in both God and the church.

  • Unbreakable Willpower - It would be possibly better to shatter stone with your bare fists than break this man's resolve.

  • Insanity - Many have tried to confine him into a mental institution, but all have failed. It is impossible to restore this man's wits. Since this man contains no form of rationality whatsoever he can be subjected to any madness and still come back as insane as ever.

• Backstory:
  • Early Years (Age 0-20) - Ever since Lawrence was a child he was always preoccupied with his medieval fantasies. His imaginations were composed of slaying dragons with magic, saving princesses then bedding them, and slaughtering all his rival knights by impaling them on his lance.

  • Descent into Insanity (Age 20-32) - Not much is known about these times, but he has gained membership in the Society of Creative Anachronism and has taken his knowledge of chivalry during his stay in SCA.

  • A Case of Full-Blown Madness (Age 32-47) - After getting hit by a car and waking up in a hospital, he claims that he has received a revelation from God Himself, and it is Lawrence's mission to right wrongs and do good to the world by becoming a Knight-Errant. So for 15 years, Lawrence has traveled all over America to do exactly that.

• Personality: Sir Lawrence is no sane individual and would often go into bouts of madness. However, this lunacy was not the result of a genetic disorder, it was caused by years of daydreaming about his medieval fantasies. Slowly these fantasies grew so elaborate that he started to believe in them until he truly believed in them.
  • Insanity: His defining trait. Ironically this is responsible for his psychological resilience.

  • Dramatic: He has a penchant for theatrics and will often find ways for a situation like Mundane Made Awesome to happen. He also has a tendency to make empty threats and is pretty good with Gallows Humor as well since he always finds inventive ways to feel persecuted.

  • Cunning: Although he isn't a bookish fellow, he can develop strategies on the fly when needed.

  • Inhumanly Stubborn: He will die a thousand times before he will ever think of changing his decision, but even then no amount of deaths would intimidate him in any way. It is better to persuade him to do something else instead of resorting to force. You are advised not to fool him for he is Too Dumb to Fool.
    • What he sees himself as: A Knight in Shining Armor trying to save a Crapsack World from collapsing on itself.

  • Audacious: Overly so, to the point that he would dash into a burning building just to prove that he's not a coward. He possesses little if any prudence.

  • The getup is pretty heavy, and he recently just lost his horse at the beginning of the story.

That's actually my favorite kind of RP, but I also like to add religious elements to it because I can't resist adding a bit of religious drama into it.
