Oh lord, this could be fan-freaking-tastic on principle alone.

Trump delenda estDanny Pudi's in this show too?! I'm sold.
Sign me up. Is funny though how they beat Marvel to the punch in making a Damage Control show.
Also, insert joke here about a very serious series about cleaning up following MOS.
Is this going to take place in the DC Universe with the likes of Batman and Superman, or is it going to be in a generic Superhero Universe? The reason I ask is this line:
At Marvel, tons of superheroes proliferate around NYC, but DC segregates its superheroes. Every hero has his own city. Even spinoffs tend to move, like when Robin became Nightwing and left Gotham to go find a city to have his own series in, Bludhaven.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.According to one script review the Pilot features Crimson Fox and Jack O'Lantern.
So I take it they are using really obscure DC characters as the heroes and villains. Don’t know the city in which it is set in the DC Universe.
Here is the review of the script from January 5th.
They thought it was good but not great. They only had one problem It was too separate from the super hero world.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThat seems like kind of a big deal in a show that's supposedly set in a world of Superheroes and uses that as part of its core concept.
Basically, I want a show that's an extended version of this commercial.
Please.

Even if it was you'd have to ask which part and I don't mean what city, I mean what universe.

I remember hearing on a podcast about a She-Hulk comic where she sets up a practice in a building designed to house people with superpowers. DC could be just as good, especially if we get things like the "Metropolis Policy" where mention is made of shooting up the city's insurance premiums because of how often they call to make a claim.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.So I'm not sure why Youtube blocked this video, but there's a promo out for this show. http://orderofthefenix.tumblr.com/post/144631820768/almost-always-eventually-right-flatbear
This looks hilarious. Also, what a fun cast. Definitely checking it out when it premieres on TV.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"Count me in. Looks hilarious.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The video isn't working for me for some reason. The link is fine, it's the site that's the problem. Hopefully it comes back on You Tube soon. Some ass probably did a takedown request or something. Who knows.
I am cautiously optimistic about this.
That's weird, the post isn't even showing up in my blog. I didn't delete it or anything. The video itself probably got removed anyways.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"Powerless needs to find a new showrunner.
It is set to premiere during midseason.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIf you still remember about this workplace comedy, Powerless premieres Thursday, February 2 at 8:30 pm (most likely during a typical airing of Legends of Tomorrow).
"In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero."
For those in the know, you'll probably notice how different the show sounds compared to its original pitch: an insurance company dealing with superpeople-based collateral damage, and Vanessa's character just being another cog in the machine rather than its mechanic. Oh, and don't forget, Batman Publiticy strikes again!
Still, I'm hoping it nails that "The Office (US)" vibe they had initially.
It was a D.C. show taking the premise of Damage Control, so I can see why it was retooled.
Well, it's a show about a big name company. I'd say Batman Publicity is justified in this case, since the only other big name company in DC is Lex Corp, which is taken (technically).
And Queen Industries too I guess, but same problem.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I understand that, but that's only because the retool placed the show in that position. The original pitch and pilot from San Diego Comic Con (which was, naturally, mixed) never mentioned any Batman-related connections:
"Vanessa Hudgens (Grease Live, High School Musical) plays Emily, a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. It’s when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult “hero” in her own right … even if it’s just to her group of lovably quirky co-workers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers." (The original synopsis, 8 months ago)
It rather off-handedly mentioned Wonder Woman, but that's about it in terms of "blatant mainstream DC references". Again, maybe I'm just overthinking the new showrunner changing things like what happened to TheMuppets halfway its first season.

January 7, 2016 NBC officially picked up the pilot.
Recently we have been getting casting news.
Vanessa Hudgens is playing the star Emily Locke.
Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, and Christina Kirk have been added to the cast.
Alan Tudyk, meanwhile, portrays Del, Emily’s new boss in the claims department. Del has just been promoted — not through any merit of his own, but because he’s the owner’s son. A self-proclaimed “rich, over-educated globetrotting wastrel,” Del is a power-mad disastrous dictator of a boss.
Lastly, Christina Kirk is set for the role of Jackie, a massive superhero fan who works as Del’s assistant.
