Heroes of One Thousand Worlds.

This is the signup thread for my crossover RP. What's it a crossover between? You decide! The basic premise is a dimension-hopping motley crew of characters fighting a great evil. The characters can be from any media, including an OC. All the normal rules will apply, and if you have any questions, please contact me. Without further ado, the character criteria.

If you want, you can import a bio you already used, as it'll probably have the aforementioned information, as well as more important details. If you're making a new character, don't feel restricted to those.

Additional information, pertaining more to me than the game itself: I'm super new around here, but I've been R Ping on other sites for about two years, and I know my stuff. If I did something wrong or left something out, please let me know. I have no intention of making my early attempts at R Ping here an Old Shame. As such, I'll be making a character for this as well as running it, the details of which will be put up later, when I'm in a writing-y mood.

I got a question. Can the character we use be a villain from their original work?

Sure, as long as it makes sense. If they're a genocidal nutcase, they won't get recruited, but a Doom or Magneto type would make good contrast against some more clean-cut heroes. Alternately, they could follow a hero and stow away on the ship. EDIT: Back in ten minutes, not leaving just between classes.

Also, usually in TV Tropes forums, we have a single "appearance" area on the sheet as opposed to a bunch of different areas like you have here. Just a heads-up.

Back now. OK, thanks. I'll change it. Where I'm from we use a character more than once, and stuff takes place in a shared universe, so details became more important.

The reason we do a single appearance area, from what I gathered, is so you can share a picture of the character rather than having to describe them in full.

• Character’s Name: Fawful
• Brief Synopsis of the Character: Fawful was once the assistant of Cackletta, a witch who attempted to take over the Beanbean Kingdom. Unfortunately, two plumbers known as Mario and Luigi launched Fawful out of a tower and proceeded to kill Cackletta before she could succeed with her goals. Somehow, Fawful survived and began plotting to destroy the plumbers as well as take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Fast forward 6 years, and his plan is finally put into motion. But he was once again defeated by Mario and Luigi as well as a turtle-lizard-thing named Bowser. After his defeat, he disappeared. As for how he acts, Fawful has an unusual speaking pattern. He tends to speak only in broken English and shout every other sentence. He is extremely clever. Once he was able to poison a whole town without ever being caught. He's also a skilled inventor and made everything he uses.
• Source Material: Mario & Luigi
• Appearance: Here is a picture of him. Just pretend the hoverpad isn't there.◊ I should also note that his age is very ambiguous.
• Gender: M
• Alignment: Chaotic Evil
• Powers/Abilities: Fawful doesn't have any powers of his own. Instead, he has two main gadgets that he uses often. These gadgets will be described in the paraphernalia section.
• Paraphernalia: One of his gadgets is his laser pistol, which shoots lasers able to injure his enemies and destroy weak obstacles. The second gadget is his vacuum helmet, a device which allows him to fly (somehow) as well as temporarily hold small items.

NOTE: The reason I use him despite the fact he's a murderous psychopath is because at the end of Bowser's Inside Story, he vows to give up on evil. He may be crazy, but he knows when he's beat.

Very cool. I'll start writing mine now, I suppose. Might use a premade one for the sake of time. How long is your average Opening Post, by the way? Where I usually write, it's about three long paragraphs, but I could use a break from that.

I've never been a GM myself, but from what I've seen and experienced, the GM usually makes it as long as they want. Don't quote me on that, though.

Last hopelessly newbie-ish question: how do I hotlink?

Last time I checked, the site doesn't allow hotlinked images. However, you can link to the image by taking the image URL and placing two brackets on each side. For example, if I wanted to insert an image of an apple, I would paste the URL, put two opening brackets on the left of it and two closing brackets on the right of it.

Name: Thomas Wayne. Alias: Batman.

Synopsis: On a parallel world, both Bruce and Thomas Wayne survived the shooting that orphaned the Batman, but Thomas faked his death, fearing that the mobsters who ordered the hits on him would exact revenge should he resurface. After his son was killed as Batman, he decided to take up the mantle, compensating for his age with super-drugs.

Source: Earth 2 (The comic).

Alignment: Chaotic/Neutral Good.

Powers: Superhuman physicals, night vision, breathing underwater, capability with firearms, medicine.

Equipment: Utility belt, pistols, wrist-mounted guns, miracolo pills.

Ooh, awesome.

Characters name: Magiano

Brief Synopsis of the Character: Magiano is a malfetto young Ylite thief, and the most infamous young Elite around. His name is what his languages word for magic is based on.

Source Material: young elites/ Rose society

Appearance: Copy and pasted from the wiki :Magiano has bronze skin with dozens of dark braids that hang down to his shoulders. One of his markings left from the blood fever is his bright, yellow eyes (honey-colored) which he can slit like cat pupils at will (he says his vision sharpens when he does this). His second mark was a red mark that spread across his back, but now it is a raised scar of flesh. He is also very gilded, wearing golden bangles and expensive robes with gold patterns on them.

Gender: Male

Alignment: Chaotic/Neutral Evil/Good.

Powers/Abilities: The ability to mimic other peoples powers

Paraphernalia: A jewel and gold encrusted lute.

Basically, let's put the Illuminati, Cult of Cthulhu, Institute and Aperture Science in a room together without any condoms, and see the result.

I very much support that idea, so yes. Maybe as a group worshipping the Eldritch Abomination thing that's eating planets?
