NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I always thought reboot should only be used if it's used for a series.
Labyrinth is just one movie, so they should call it a remake.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY
i. hear. a. sound.Because it just makes more sense that way.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! It's going to suck. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it.
No one can fill David Bowie's shoes. No one ever will. This is not something that should be made.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."The only way this can get worse is if they decide to cast Adam Lambert as Jareth.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well, they've got a challenge ahead of them to find a Goblin King worthy of succeeding Bowie himself.
It would've made more sense if they made a sequel, with said sequel being, say, an adaptation of a certain manga.
A reboot is practically pointless, really.

Maybe with Christopher Walken? He was brought in to replace David Bowie once, you know.
When?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'd actually watch that.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."David Bowie was meant to play Max Zorin in A View to a Kill. Bowie rejected it at some point, so he was replaced by Walken.

Tilda Swinton would be cool.
Screenwriter says it isn't a reboot or a remake
They were planning this since 2014.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureBetter than a remake of Pans Labyrinth.
Thank God. I'm happy to see that the screenwriter for this respects the movie and thinks it's "perfect as it is" - an attitude so many people in Hollywood need to have towards the great films and shows of the past...
But now the question remains - if it's not a reboot or a remake... what is it?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."A sequel?
A retelling?
If it's a prequel, it will probably be an equivalent of Maleficent.
If it's a sequel, they'll either ignore, embrace or take some elements from Return to Labyrinth.
If it's a retelling, they'll probably update the setting and put stuff that will cause it to become outdated (story or theme-wise).
yeah, Nicole Perlman shouldn't get any hate for this project.
And a reboot, even if it does turn out bad, what's the problem, exactly?
I mean, if it's a very belated sequel and it gets messed up, it messes up an entire narrative so that's going to be problematic, but whatever gets messed up here, it shouldn't impact the original that much.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I can hear Bailey's voice now:
"...Watch as the legacy of Jim Henson, who brought his enchanting visions to life with masterful puppetry and practical effects, gets completely shat on with phoned-in CGI more obvious than David Bowie's bulge in the original..."

The CG would probably be less obvious the the horrendous greenscreen during the puppet dance.
Labyrinth is gonna get rebooted.
Aside from the obvious 'already exploiting Bowie's death, hey?' complaint, any thoughts?
