Selflessly sacrificing his life made me think "Wow, Kazuma's like Yusuke Urameshi in that sense. Heck, they both wore green when they died!"
Then I learned the real reason why he died. Waaay more pointless than Yusuke's.
Aqua and Kazuma sure enjoyed mocking each other. Then the world mocked them both. Being a good gamer only nets you high INT and LCK. Quite...apt. And nothing burns a goddess more than getting pity from a follower of her junior. The pain. The pain!!
And so, the duo take their first step in beating the Demon King by...toiling the days away in the starter town.
I hope the fun times keep rolling like this.
The whole scene was hysterical.
"I just have one question... that girl, did she survive?'
"Yeah, she did."
"At least my death wasn't in vain."
"Actually..."
Being a NEET doisen't grant high stats. Being a godesses on the other hand does.
somehow their first job as adnventures ended up being pretty normal.
Actually, real fun has yet to come. I can't wait for Darkness and Megumin.
It would be nice see Vanir too...
Is the anime 12 episodes or 24 episodes long? It would be nice if the anime got to show Aqua's cult.

Spoiler tag the stuff referring to the future damnit!
Damn good for a genre that gets recycled a lot. I like the comaderie between Aque and Megumin, sucking for the sake of looking badass doing it. Pretty much "Awesome but impractical" personified.
Edit: Also finally a show that puts all the main case fast, it's really annoying that you need to wait until the party forms in some shows (I'm looking at you Dan Machi).

Episode 2 cemented this series as my favourite of the season so far, it is just so much fun to watch. The fight against the frogs was very amusing and the explosion wizard was also funny and the animation for her spell was cool. Looking forward to the next episode to see what exactly is wrong with the Crusader.
Episode 1
I love that little scene where an old lady buys this giant hunk of meat, hefts it over her shoulder and accidentally smushes the baby she's carrying on her back.
There's a lot of little things like that which infuse the show with energy. It keeps the feel-good atmosphere running even when it's not feeding us chunks from the meat of the comedy— namely, the screwed up people doing funny stuff.
One of the best pilots in what has been in my opinion a remarkably good season. Can't wait to watch the next one.
Episode 2: Enter chuuni wizard! I love Megumin antics and her camaraderie with Aqua, they bonded over their lack of common sense.
This party sheer incompetency is just astounding. They succeed despite their best efforts at screwing things up. No wonder Maou isn't exactly shaking in his boots.
Darkness might just be the most chuuni name I can think of. And she seems to be stuttering. This is gonna be fun.
I'm not normally a fan of "transported to a fantasy world" series, but this is great.
I do love how ridiculous it would to still have chuunibyou, even in a blatant fantasy set-up.
It probably wouldn't be chuuniyou if the skills actually met the description.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Normally I don't think it would count but in this series it does for reasons that are spoilers, funny but spoilers nontheless.
I like Meganamoomin a lot. I feel bad for the frawgs though.
And she's definitely a blatant chuunibyou. She wears an eyepatch for looks. I also like how Kazuma tries to pass off Aqua as a chuunibyou, and the other chuunibyou feels sorry for her.
And the blonde one's here already.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Eyepatches are like Chuunibyo hallmark.
Also, eye infection.
That stuff used to be so common back when I was a kid...
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Episode 2:
Ah, the pains of being an adventurer.
Aqua used God's Hand! It does zero damage! *omnomed*
Megumin's a mage. A chuuni mage. Who only loves explosion magic. Which is very high-risk. You can count on her!
Darn frogs! Eat this! God's Requi-*omnomed*
Darkness? Hm, that's an unusual name for a knight. Which can only mean more hijinks awaits our heroes. Hehehehe...
So...the Demon Lord isn't the world conquest type?
The moment I started loving this show was whne in the first episode Kazuma chose to take Aqua with him to the new world out of sheer spite.
Getting a chuuni wizard in the second episode is just icing on the cake.
Basically, everyone in this world is highly incompetent.
But Aqua did have a point. Why would the Demon Lord go out of his way to crush a town full of noobs that pose absolutely no threat to him whatsoever, when his time would be better spent dealing with the people that actually do?
So apperantly Steal is a luck based skill.
Definitely did not expect that scene to end in such an awesome way.
Episode 3: What is it with Masochist Paladins, there was one in Bikini Warriors as well. This was a very funny episode once again and I like the new addition to the party and the cabbages were fun and cute. The new skills were entertaining but wasn't Kazuma's luck meant to be high, it seems not to be working right
Panties have the lowest drop rate on a girl's loot table so that luck stat worked!
Luck never affects plot events so 'shit out of luck' there.

This series does seem to make awesome animation of random things, such as the DNA scene when Kazuma learnt Steal
More anime to catch up on.
Episode 1. In which he pulls a Keiichi.
Kinda average start. Nothing that sticks out.
She's a bit of an arse.
I can't blame him for pulling a Keiichi. Too bad she's not Belldandy. Well, for her, anyway. Although I suspect he might've preferred that too. But then again, she'd probably not goad him into making that choice. Unless he really was Keiichi.
So, no starter equipment? No money? Gonna be a rough start.
Standard MMO outfits. NPCs look bog-standard average, and adventurers look ridiculous. At least Aqua fits in.
She's surprised a game nerd knows about games?
Sure, just club the baby.
That barmaid kind of reminds me of the other goddess, but more mundane.
If he just registers, wouldn't it be more reasonable to assume he's starting off at level 1?
Couldn't he have become a mage with that int score? And I wonder if there's any protagonist who doesn't have remarkable luck.
She's a bit more popular than he is.
Why would there be crap on the hay like that? Other than because it seemed funny for the creator? Also, she's certainly sleeping well.
Odd montage. Kind of doesn't feel as if it's the right direction for them. Well, it might help his stats a little.
She's surprisingly happy about their situation, and with him. Seems like they've really taken into account that they're stuck there together. Despite how they met and got there in the first place.
Judging from the ED (which I'm assuming is going to be the OP), I'm going to like knight girl. She seems pleasant and reliable.
So, seriously (and comically) flawed characters who're genuinely pleasant at times. It's a little odd and refreshing. And funny. This is a keeper. Or watcher, I suppose.
"Hey, I have got something a little nice for you. Wanna go to another world? You can take only one thing of your choice along with you."
"...then I'll take you."
From here on, the great adventure of subjugating the Demon King will begin for the reincarnated Kazuma... Or so one would think, but it's the labor for obtaining food, clothing and shelter that begins! Despite Kazuma wanting to live in peace, the goddess keeps causing problems one after another, and eventually, they attract the attention of the Demon King's army!?
Hilarious take on the "reincarnated into another world" plot. Turns out being a shut-out NEET doesn't lend itself to great stats, and being petty asshole who wanted to get one over a goddesses can backfire. The humor is great, and I quite like the characters. Also, puking rainbows.
