At any rate, it appears I made the same choices. Different reasons behind why on some part (I take secret identity serious as still a criminal and wouldn't be able to do infiltrations like this without it) but am all for trying all you can to save people. It's one reason Harley irritated me during that infiltration. You have a means to do this discreet and clean, like a pro, why are you're complicating things for the sake of complicating them?!

I somehow ended up on Waller's good side despite the fact I've done next to nothing to ever be on her side. Cooperating with her infiltration (which I feel doesn't count, doing that anyway) seems to please her.

It'd be hilarious if Bane has a sympathetic moment like Falcone next episode.

I should note that while I am trying to influence her, I have not been kissing Harley's ass. I took the gun from her when she pulled it, made clear to her that attacking my people isn't acceptable, and forced her to stand down when she went after that one lady from the Board of Directors.

I also impressed her when talking about her father by answering her suspicions with openly admitting to having connections and researching her.

I try to treat John with kid's gloves because he's kinda like a lost puppy looking for a way to connect to the world. Positive encouragement, understanding, and support. Harley is not a lost puppy. So long as Harley views herself as being on top of the power dynamic, she's not going to listen to a word I say.

Different approaches for different people. I need John to like me. I need Harley to respect me.

You do know John is going to turn on Batman because Harley likes him better.

Oh, yeah, that's pretty much inevitable. The foreshadowing is so thick you could cut it with a knife. We're right back at Selena and Harvey on this one.

But I didn't let inevitability keep me from trying then and I'm certainly not about to now! At the very least, I kept Harvey from getting scarred, so that was neat. I wasn't expecting to be able to do that.

My problem is that regardless of what you do major events still happen anyway, just at different times or in different ways.

That's a limitation of the medium: making the plot completely different for each major choice you make would require an exorbitant amount of time and resources.

Like even games where the story does change drastically based on your choices, like The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Fallout: New Vegas, and Tyranny, still have the player still reach the same exact story beats on each playthrough.

Telling Harley you have connections doesn't lead to you getting shot? If you tell her to put the gun down, she shoots you immediately.

Nope, she actually likes that answer. Paraphrasing, Bruce is just like, "I have friends in high places and extensively researched you because of course I f*cking did; what did you think I was going to do?" She's pretty satisfied with that response. It's blunt, honest, and establishes Bruce as a peer rather than an underling.

I hope the Joker isn't a second evil personality. It would be kind of weird since John isn't exactly good anyway. Plus that's already Two-Face's thing.

And of course the choice between leaving Harley or Bane behind didn't matter, because why would it.

...you didn't think that choice would result in one of them literally being written out of the entire rest of the season, did you?

I didn't either, but I thought it would've resulted in Bane or Harley busting out in a later episode and blaming Bruce for not having their back, and thus being harder to convince in a later crucial scene. That'll probably still be the case to an extent, just not as significantly as I originally believed.

"What's with the green hair?" "I don't know. What's with YOUR black hair?!"

John is a treasure.

Harley and Joker seem to have had their roles reversed. That's interesting.

Well, looks like they're REALLY laying the groundwork for a Suicide Squad game with Waller talking how much she likes dangerous and expendable teams. Looks like The Pact is her proto-Squad.

86.9% told Tiffany "I'm Batman!" They REALLY want her to be the next Lucius. More than 3/4 took the fall for Catwoman. D'awwww.

Lol, I actually sold her out. I'm honestly surprised I did it too, considering I was sweet to her consistently.

I totally took the fall. Sure, I broke my cover, but the f*ck does it matter? I already told Harley where her target is. All Waller wanted was to get the Pact gang headed their way, so mission f*cking accomplished.

Besides, I think John needed to see that.

Also, when I was on the rooftop and Gordon was ranting about how crooked Bruce Wayne was, I really wanted there to be an option to just unmask right then and there.

From the looks of things, the best choice is probably to get yourself frozen. I say this because two big reasons: 1) there's no way Telltale can kill you off so quickly, since you happen to be Batman in a game called Batman, and 2) if this episode making your decision to bail out Harley or Bane a moot point showed anything, it's that your decisions will be partially overwritten due to narrative plot constraints... meaning that your cover is gonna get blown early in the next episode, no matter what you do.

Only reason I can think of not getting turned into a popsicle is if you dislike Selina, and don't mind getting no support from her in the future.

I'm guessing the choice of whether to sell out Selina will determine whether you participate in the raid on SANCTUS as Bruce or Batman.

Nice episode:

• I told John to be himself. The role-play with him after was incredible.
• I didn't warn Selina. She forgave me rather easily.
• I went for the Relationship Upgrade with Selina and let her into the Batcave. She was really weirded out by the trophy room.
• I took the fall and got frozen.

That is literally identical to all of my choices.

Based on this ironclad evidence of only two datapoints, I declare it to be the Objectively Correct way to play episode three.

EDIT: Also, seriously, f*ck secret identities. I wanted so badly for this to happen:

• Gordon: Lucius Fox might have been in some bad stuff because he was working for Bruce Wayne, and we have ample reason to suspect that Bruce Wayne is a threat to Gotham.
• Batman: Uh....
• Gordon: We need you to bring him in so that we can arrest him and find out what he knows about all these criminal acts going on!
• Batman: (casually removes cowl)
• Gordon: Once we have Bruce Wayne, I think we'll have the key to solving everything! He's as crooked as his father, and—
• Batman: Gordon?
• Gordon: (looks up) What? ...oh. Oh! Oh, that...that explains everything. Okay, forget I said anything. You, uh...you keep on doing you and we'll let you know if we find anything. Wow, of all the wrong trees to be barking up....

How'd Vicki Vale react?

I legitimately thought there would be.

She's momentarily shocked before twisting her mind to believe that Bruce is Batman to oppress people or some nonsense.

If you unmask, Bruce loses part of his ear. If not, Alfred loses an eye.

You're assuming Gordon will react positively to finding out Wayne is Batman at that point. He will probably end up hating both.
