Gets my vote for the subpage.
(Annoyed grunt)Midna doesn't come across as traditionally cute or adorable to me, and Kirby is already the perfect illustration for that page.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Again: the Video Games subpage image is already pretty good. We don't need suggestions for it unless you think it's a notable improvement on the current.
Moon◊Since the consensus seems to be that my suggestion is suitable, I've gone ahead and added it to the web comics sub-page for Badass Adorable.
I don't know if it needs a caption. I'm okay with no caption, but perhaps...
"Loves cats, toys and playing ball. Beats up big bullies as a hobby."
Edit: Ugh! Somehow I managed to put it on the Comic Books page instead of the Webcomics page. Fixed now.

Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMIf we want to pick an image for the main page, why don't we just vote on the ones from all the subpages? We can find another to replace it on its medium page.
I don't like the idea of taking images off their sub-pages where they were found to be suitable. Depending on the type of work, it may be difficult to find another suitable image for the sub-page.
But we could use the sub-page images as inspiration in order to find a suitable main page image.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMMy thinking is, all of those images are more or less the best their medium has to offer. We voted on most or all of them and the ones we have were the most popular, so the hard part of finding suitable images is already done. We just need to find out which one is the most popular among the subpages, and naturally that would be the best bet for the main page.
Besides, we all know Kirby from the Video Games subpage would win, and video games are lousy with examples.
Star Butterfly for the main page? [1]◊
This thread has become a bit convoluted after we've been looking at picturing several subpages at once. I personally agree with the sentiment expressed by others to have pics on the medium pages only.
Media for/from which (new) images have been proposed:
- Anime & Manga, but it's already pictured AND two previous threads decided to keep the current pic per post #2.
- Animated Films (Puss in Boots◊)
- Web Original (RWBY 1◊, RWBY 2◊)
- Video Games, but it's already pictured.
- Webcomics, but it's already pictured.
- Western Animation, but it's already pictured.
- Real Life, but it's already pictured.
So what's next? Vote on a pic for the main page? Keep everything on the subpages? Replace some of them and add the new ones, or keep the current ones and only add for Animated Films and Web Original?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Animated and Web Original, I think, if the others are perfectly suitable for the subpages they are on.

(Annoyed grunt)Let's keep it to those two subpages.
When I think Badass Adorable as an image, I think something that shows something or someone really cute but also threatening. This fits the bill for my books. Higher quality version.
Otherwise, there's some other Moogle images where they look mostly the same, but are dressed like knights and/or wielding weapons.

Didn't you say "threatening"?
Check out my fanfiction!Again: BadassAdorable.Video Games has a good image. I do not think the Moogle is better.
Moon◊I think the Puss in Boots image is fine for BadassAdorable.Animated Films. Dunno about Web Original, though.

(Annoyed grunt)I thought this thread was for picking one for the main page.

Since this is a subpaged trope, anything for the main page would need to not be something that would be a better fit for one of the subpages.
Hm... for the main page, perhaps we could use a little collage pic of examples from the various mediums? Adding a general medium page image could prove to be a difficult search.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Possibly. Maybe a pic of an owl?
In that case, would a two-part set-up like this suffice?
Edit: Sorry, I forgot that hotlinking images isn't allowed here.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. That's just about perfect for me.
It's badass to hunt an animal a tiny fraction of your size?
Check out my fanfiction! Also, the real life page uses a similar concept, and I'm not sure the suggestion is better.
Yep.
