I don't think this can really work without being a Discussed Trope. A good caption may help images that lack this aspect, but that's a last resort in my opinion. There's no way to tell in 3 if they're looking at fan fiction, or a Shock Site, or anything really. It only illustrates a shock Reaction Shot.

- Is this this◊ a good representation of the trope? Not much about "fanfic" as
waifufaggotryfans having a preference towars a certain character. (danbooru says that the source is an anonymous drawfag at an imageboard)

I will point out that the suggested image is currently being used on Slash Fic. That being said, I think it's far better here, and I think we can do better there anyway.

6 is so confusing that I can't make out what's going on, and I think the text would be almost unreadable at wiki size.
I'm thinking that a crop of the three figures on the right hand side of the last panel of this page from Girl Genius, along with an appropriate comment, might work better.

. The second-to-last one is already in use on Die for Our Ship, but 3 probably has the most freaked out Reaction Shot (Well, aside from Ty Lee, but without the Discussed Trope aspect that panel looks more like generic Brain Bleach).
