@Rivax: Nah. I'm gonna try to not spoil anything that I haven't already spoiled in her sign-up. The endings are too good to spoil anyway. Seriously everyone go play Undertale right now.

Also, Undyne might assume that Rick has kidnapped Morty and summarily beat the shit out of him.

Oh, and a note: my cousin is getting married Saturday, so I'll be quite busy until Sunday. Hotel still has wi-fi though, so expect about one post a day until Monday evening. Just a heads-up.

I'm fine with those break days as well. Actually, I can only imagine the comedy that ensues from the particularly Hot-Blooded characters trying to beat whoever ticked them off on break day, only to find their attacks missing or worse. XD

@Truth Hurts 22: Well I couldn't think of any other characters that throw shields for comparison.

Anyway... I wasn't sure when I wanted to do this exactly, but I think the sooner I do the better; really I should have done this a long time ago, but there wasn't exactly a good place for me to do it.

@All the other old MMFRPG players: I want to finally apologize for what happened back when I left in the third season. I haven't changed any of the opinions that ultimately made me leave, and I'm certainly not sorry to the people who I'm not allowing in this RP; but I am sorry that those opinions ultimately forced me to abandon the game and leave you guys with one less GM to keep things running. I'm also sorry about what happened shortly after I left involving my friends showing up to the thread; I didn't ask them to do that, they decided to on their own after they heard how upset I was about the situation. They were, in the end, just trying to cheer me up by taking my side, in their own way.

For a long time afterward I managed to fool myself into thinking you guys had turned your backs on me, but I since realized a ways back that it was actually me turning my back on you guys; and that's exactly what I didn't want to do as a GM. In my mind there are certain responsibilities a GM owes towards their players; a certain etiquette that should not be broken. But I found myself in a situation where in order to make a stand to uphold that etiquette, I had to abandon my responsibilities.

I never quite stopped thinking of you guys as my players, whom I owed those responsibilities to; and after my realization a while back, I knew that I had failed you as a GM. When I saw people asking around for the chance to play an MMFRPG style game again, I decided that I would take the job; I'm the one who turned my back before so I think it only right that I take on that responsibility again, and do it right this time.

I understand if you don't believe me, but to me this RP isn't about trying to take power from Doctor Thunder, and it isn't just about having fun. (Myself having fun that is; for you guys, it should be about having fun.) It's about setting right something that went wrong a long time ago. It means a lot to me to have the chance to do that, and I'm happy to see this many of the old veterans show up for it.

... Um, emotional rambling aside, I also wanted to say that I'll be deciding when exactly to start the game after I know what my work schedule for next week is. As mentioned before it won't be any sooner than Saturday night; I'll try to aim for no later than Monday night, but again it'll depend on that schedule.

EDIT: Didn't mean to make anyone uncomfortable. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Also, I've gotta get going for tonight because of early work tomorrow.

Alright, got that work schedule during my shift. Looking pretty good; I've got a three day weekend and my shifts aren't completely bonkers crazy.

So here's my plan: I'll try to post the opening for the RP tomorrow night after work. Whether or not I'll really be able to will mostly depend on how exhausted I am from said work. If I am not able to tomorrow night, I will do my best to have it done Sunday night. Now, I've heard that I might be having some thunderstorms going on here over the weekend, so worst case scenario if that leaves me physically incapable of posting I will work on the post and save it so that I can get it up once I am capable of posting again.

As for the rest of my weekly schedule, Wednesday I probably won't be able to post until super late due to an early work shift followed by my weekly Deathwatch session. Other than that the trickiest night is Thursday due to the placement of my work shift then and the work shift on Friday; knowing myself the worst I anticipate is that I might not post in the main thread that night, but will still be able to check signups and chat in discussion.

Anyway, I'm going to take a nap real soon; I'll be available again in a few hours.

So I soon as I see Rick and Morty as one of the P Cs, this scene instantly popped into my head. It's between them and Chaika.

Rick: "So, your dad was, like, Sauron or some shithead like that? Yeah, I guess that could be pretty cool... But let me tell ya 'bout the infamous galactic warlord Peppermint Candyman. He makes your daddy look like a schoolyard bully. Now there was a guy who knew how to put the 'evil' in 'evil empire'. He had newborn child soldiers; he had live public executions broadcast twenty-four-seven, with nothing else on television; he had T&R-powered power plants. "T&R" means "Torture and Rape", by the way. Man, you should've been there, Morty. It was so over-the-top, it was awesome."

Morty: "R-R-Rick, they both sound like horrible people! H-How could you talk about them and rate them like they were, like, movies! Or action figures!"

Rick: *burps* "It takes one to rate one, Morty."

On a related note, I have my intro post more or less finished and ready to go (even if a lot of it is handwave-y stuff 'explaining' why R&M can't just portal out.)

... I think Ashe would have nightmares from the simple description. :P If she doesn't try using "force therapy" on Rick first (hint: hit him to make him stop thinking so insanely), she'd stay away as far as possible.

I write posts pretty quick, so I'm gonna wait in until the thread is up to start writing. Besides, I want to know where're we gonna start in the city, and I've learned it's better to wait and see when it comes to making RP posts.

Fourteen players already with number fifteen in the works? EDIT: Make that fifteen players, without even starting yet. Feels like old times already.

@Above conversation: I'd say that pre-writing some of your intros should be fine; especially if there's anything you want to include from before your character(s) gets pulled into the city. As for the city part though, be prepared to possibly change some of it; the opening view your characters will be getting of the city might not be exactly what you're expecting...

@desdendelle: Well of the two I'm certainly more familiar with Gimli; I know there's like a bunch of extra back story in the LOTR books, but I have at least seen the movies. Warframe I only have the vaguest synopsis of, and have not played it. I don't think any of my friends are familiar with it either, (Based on the fact that none of them are listed as having played it on Steam.) but who knows, I could be mistaken.

That said, play who you want to play; I'm just mentioning that for reference.

Anyway, I'm going to get going for tonight now. I'll be on after work tomorrow, and hopefully posting the game intro sometime that night. (Again, that's my relative nighttime as a nocturnal person; for the rest of you, at least those in the Western hemisphere, it's more likely to be Sunday morning.)

Posting now to say I likely won't be able to get on until Sunday morning at least for the roleplay due to shenanigans involving my uncle's wedding.

Not that it matters much, since I'm probably not the only one who can't get on right away for it?

That sounds way more Noodle Implements than it really is. wow.

From what you're saying, and from what I can deduce... That means when you put the post up it'll either be later this Sunday morning (it's like, 5:30 AM as I write this), afternoon, or Monday morning for me. I live in an archaeopelago in the Eastern Hemisphere so...yeah. I'm just guessing.

@Shoutmon Z: As of this exact writing it is 4:15 PM my time or so. Given my work shift tonight (which I'm just about to leave for) I don't expect to be able to even start writing the post until about six hours from now; (I also won't be available to respond to anything until then either) also depending on what else I have going on tonight, actually starting on the post might have to wait a number of hours after that.

With how my nights with a three day weekend off usually go, I'd think the latest I have it up, unless I go to bed before getting it done, would be... Eighteen-twenty hours from now.

Also, wanted to mention that while I was lying in bed thinking because I woke up early due to being too excited and anxious, I thought of something great. (Or at least I think it's great.) I'm going to include subplots in the RP; given the shifting nature of the city and the intended free form nature of the RP as a whole, whether or not you guys pursue these subplots at all, and how you decide to go about solving them if you do, will be entirely up to you. Also to preemptively answer something regarding a question asked back in the signup, yes some of the subplots will be a bit more tailored for characters that can fight; others however, would probably not have fighting help the situation at all.

Huh, so the guess I was most confident of was rather close. From what you've said, it'll be like midnight or something in here by then. Either way, again, not going to be able to post a few hours after it's up, or maybe even a few days, as we're going to move and...it might take awhile to get the internet back (and even then, it'll be a bit less constant than it is now).

EDIT: Best case scenario(s), we'll leave today and be able to get the internet back up by the next day or the day after that. Or I get something up tomorrow if we leave after breakfast/lunch tomorrow.

Considering how my sleep pattern is plus the fact that you're like 2-3 hours behind me, I probably won't post until the morning after (from my perspective) or maybe even later than that most of the time.

Not really much of a problem I guess, just might post later than the others is all.

Home now; one of my friends is messaging me about hanging out for a bit, so as I expected I won't be starting work on that post right away.

Just wanted to put up an update on a few things: First off, because someone reminded me on skype I've updated the rule on OP characters to include a note about time control powers: only slowing or stopping time is allowed, and only to a limited extent; no rewinding or fast forwarding time.

Also, to those who have not seen yet: CHECK THE FIRST POST OF THE DISCUSSION! I'm putting a number of hopefully helpful materials to make things easier later into the RP, especially for anyone joining later. There's not a lot to it now, but it will be filled out with more information once I've got the game started.

And on a side note, I don't know why I completely forgot while typing my last post that we totally had subplots back in the MMFRPG. Well, difference here is that I'm going to try to keep them more open ended than the ones back in the MMFRPG were; also, better organized, hence the section for them in the first post of discussion.

Rick used to be able to stop time, but then he broke reality and he can't ever do it again.

Yu will attempt to befriend everyone out of habit. Gotta max those social links.

Rick seems like a dead ringer for The Magician, and I'd bet Travis would fit as perhaps The Chariot or The Devil.

Depends on how you want to play it since Travis is already through his Desperate Struggle character arc. Maybe Yu would like to help him deal with his remorse from those days(more Chariot-ish), or actively learn from him while evading his bad influence, Travis isn't a great rolemodel (more Devil)

While I haven't seen a full episode of Rick And Morty before, from what I have seen and read it seems to me that Rick would be more like the Tower rather than Magician.

@JaU: I'm unfamiliar with that one entirely. I'll check with my friends later to see if any of them know about it, but of course even if they don't that will be okay anyway.
