I finally figured out how bulleting works. I also adjusted Hector's skills slightly to not have stats.

Yeah pretty much anything you need to know about markup can be found in Text-Formatting Rules.

Also read the post literally right above your sheet, since it seems to apply to you too.

Thanks for linking that. The markup help in the "Add Post" page didn't mention bulleting.

Like the person from earlier, I'm also a newcomer overall to the TV Tropes forums. I've read through the forum rules, the sub-forum rules, and the RP rules multiple times already. I may be overlooking something though; I'm not quite sure. Do you need me to do anything in particular? Sorry if I'm a bother.

Hector only gets to use Lances in his appearance in The Binding Blade's post-game, where he's definitely not the same 17-yo lordling he was in The Blazing Blade. Also, you've given him skills from Fire Emblem Heroes which is... kinda odd since that's a side-game where Hector has zero plot relevance other than appearing. Also, you describe Hector as "able to resist magic" but his Resistance base is 0 and his growth 25% which is very notably poor.

For what it's worth, I'll probably be signing up myself with Celica after much over-thinking and I'll put up a sheet tomorrow since I'm watching Hell in a Cell tonight.

Yeah that's a really good point about Hector and lances. As for the res, I think my Hectors got stupidly res blessed. Should have remembered the "mages and their ilk" conversation. I'll adjust the character sheet. Again.

I included Heroes statistics because of the whole "To Die on the Battlefield" Mini Tempest Trial involving "Marth."

@Inaccurate Prophecy: You completely forgot the name field.

Now, I've seen a documentary about the development of Fire Emblem, but I've never played any of the games, and I don't think my friends have either. There does seem to be a decent trope entry for Hector which I will try to check out later, but it might have to wait until after I get back from work tomorrow.

One problem I can point out without really knowing about the series though, between your quick chat with Plumbum above and a quick search: Fire Emblem Heroes is crossover that is not in the same canon as the main games. As my rules explicitly state, you cannot be using a character that is a combination of different iterations of them. You must use Hector either from the main games only, or from Fire Emblem Heroes only, not both.

In the meantime though, whether it's accurate or not, there are some balance concerns and such to go over. Primarily the big issue is that you seem to have just tried to directly translate his in-game traits to the RP 1:1, but some of them just straight up don't really work in the RP's format because of being too arbitrary and/or video gamey; or they break my signup rules when taken at face value, or possibly both. And Plumbum if you read this post you may want to take note for your own Fire Emblem character signup.

Like with his pavise having a small chance to halve damage, and the RPG style critting with his weapon, those don't really work. I can't just allow you to decide when those trigger because that wouldn't be fair and would be too open for abuse. "Oh yeah by complete chance and total fairness he just had five crit attacks in a row." And I'm not going to do it, because I have enough to keep track of and do as a GM as it is. Now there's room for more dynamic and fluid stuff like, hitting a weak point or just straight up decapitating a dude which is sort of like RPG crits, but it isn't the same thing. So those two aspects pretty much have to go.

Next up is the distant counter. First off, how does he counterattack ranged attacks, and what do you mean by counterattack? Is he deflecting the projectile back at them, or is he just violating physics and folding space to smack them with his melee weapon at long range? Also, any ranged attack at any distance is broken when taken at face value; so he can counter even a sniper shot from a high powered rifle a mile away? And a stealthy, completely silent assassin shot that he didn't know was coming?

The whole Fire Emblem rock paper scissors weapon thing is again, too arbitrary to really fit in the RP. Saying that Hector's skill and style of use with those weapons makes it more difficult to deal with certain other weapons would kind of work, but otherwise it just really doesn't fit with how the RP works.

Lastly, him being, "fast enough to dodge lightning and keep up with foes that can travel faster than the normal human can see" taken at face value is way too high of a speed. Even assuming that's just his reactionary combat speed, and that he can't run any faster than normal, it's still ludicrous. Nobody in the RP would stand even a remote chance against him in a melee encounter, since it would be nearly impossible to hit him without him parrying it, and equally as impossible to parry any of his hits against them.

EDIT: Oh, and one other thing I forgot. The curse of Armads would be removed by the city because of technicalities. Since otherwise it might also be flipped around to use as a loophole of "I can only die in combat, because the curse says so."

If you bear with for a couple hours (I just got home from work) I'll be using a Fire Emblem character myself; so if you want to take what I'll do as an example of how to parse such characters' stats and personality to a roleplay setting?

Personally, Hector is one of my all-time favourite FE characters, so I'd be quite happy to help if you need, too.

Story: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (Early-game, around Act 2... shall we say on the march to Grieth's Citadel? Notably some of the things here are *slightly* inconsistent with Celcia's actual progression, such as having Beloved Zofia during Act 2 being technically possible but unlikely - but nothing that's actually impossible.)
Name: Princess Anthiese (Goes by the pseudonym "Celica", due to the risk of being hunted down as a legitimate heir to the Zofian throne)
Age, gender, and species: 17, F, Human
Appearance: Practical armor need not protect the shoulders or thighs.
Personality: Celica carries herself as a proper lady, even though she is technically in hiding. She is always polite, not to mention kind and caring. Her entire nature is bent towards others, at self-sacrifice if needs be (although this is as much naivete as good-heartedness and entirely exploitable) - although this does come with the caveat that she is fairly slow to truly open up to anyone as her secret role as Zofian royalty makes her isolated - even to the few who can share her secret, such as the other children in the Novis monastery.
Backstory: In the year 385 in the Valentian calendar, Celica was born as Princess Anthiese of Zofia, daughter of King Lima IV and Liprica. Anthiese bore a great resemblance to her mother, but her mother died while she was very young. Anthiese bore a special mark on the palm of her right hand, one that would tie her to a great destiny alongside another individual who bore a similar mark. In her brief childhood in the royal villa, she became close to one of her half-siblings, Conrad. 10 years prior to the game events, the villa housing Lima IV's numerous wives and children was set ablaze by Desaix as a means to instigate a coup against the king. Mycen, a legendary Zofian knight, managed to locate Anthiese in the blaze and rescued her. She had hoped that Mycen could find Conrad, but Mycen informed him that he could not find him, leaving Anthiese as the sole survivor of the fire. To most of Zofia, however, it was believed that there were no survivors. Mycen brought Anthiese to Ram Village for her safety and was given the name Celica, her new name that she would go by for many years.

Living with Mycen for some time, she became particularly close to Mycen's grandson, Alm. The two were practically inseparable, fortified by the fact the the two bore a special birthmark on their opposite hands. Her time in Ram Village was also filled with happiness with her friends in the village Tobin, Gray, Kliff, and Faye. She was taught swordplay by Mycen alongside the other Ram Village children in order to protect herself. Unfortunately, her happiness was cut short when one of Desaix's cronies, Slayde, came to Ram Village and discovered Celica's heritage thanks to a special Brand on her right hand. Though he was repelled from the village thanks to Mycen, Celica was forced to leave the village. As she departed, Alm vowed to one day reunite with her, a sentiment she shared. She was brought to the Priory on Novis where she was raised by Nomah. She would spend the rest of her adolescence training in the teachings of Mila and became skilled in magic. She became close to three students at the priory: Mae, Boey, and Genny.

(Yes this is a direct copy/paste from the Fire Emblem Wiki, but I'd only write the same things in my own words anyway.)
Skills/Powers/Abilities:\\

  • Swordsmanship: Although not as skilled with a blade as perhaps some other well-known Valentians - even within her own travelling party - Celica possesses marked ability with her sword. She is a fairly swift and agile combatant - although her light armor and slight frame offers little durability.
  • Valentian Magic: Unlike most places in the Fire Emblem universe, Valentians do not use magical tomes to project magical ability from directly within themselves, or some white magics from the power of a god. Whilst this means that Valentian mages never break their equipment, instead the process is exceptioinally exhausting [N.B. Magic in FE Echoes is Cast from Hit Points so I find exhaustion to be the best abstraction.]
    • Fire: A basic cantrip known by all Valentian mages. Sends a bolt of fire towards a target and doesn't even take a whole lot out of the caster! Not very devastating though. Like, really.
    • Seraphim: Holy magic that sends a powerful orb of light at the target. It's not massively painful... unless you're undead or unholy then you're in for a world of hurt. It's not too nasty on Celica, but it's sure as hell not something she can just throw at random.
    • Thunder: Another, although slightly less basic cantrip and not even particularly more powerful than Fire, the Thunder spell is nevertheless more stable at long ranges, since thunder strikes and doesn't travel like fire does. However, this can start taking a toll if rapidly recast.
    • Recover: A restorative spell, that can close small wounds and dull pain on anyone Celica can touch. Over longer periods of time, Celica can also keep someone more heavily wounded stable - although Celica herself might suffer for it and need time to recover.
      • Celica has more spells yet to figure out.
Items:
  • Beloved Zofia, Celica's personal blade. Although Valentian craftsmanship is already impressive, this weapon is truly unbreakable. It is also blessed by the Earth Mother Mila - which gives it some magical capability.
    • Recover: Beloved Zofia is capable of some low-level restoration to Celica herself. It can only close minor wounds and dull pains. But it's something.
    • Subdue: This magical cantrip selectively dulls Zofia's blade. If the strike would kill the opponent, it instead incapacitates them alive.

Here we are, I tried.

My apologies, after my last main thread post I got distracted and had forgotten that there were signup thread posts.

@Inaccurate Prophecy: If you want to, that's up to you. If you want to still stick with Hector, then you should edit his signup; (Or repost it; it doesn't really matter.) if not, then feel free to post a signup for a different character.

@Plumbum: While you have a slight point about that you'd have just written basically the same thing as from the wiki, just copy pasting it can, in a way, call into question whether you're really familiar with the character. Now, I'll be reading the trope entry for her soon, and I'll edit this post later about accuracy, or make a new post if someone else has posted here by then.

In the meantime, there is two slight issues with the sheet. Thunder literally hitting instantly would be against the signup rules, since that would make it impossible to avoid by virtue of it; your wording is a little unclear about what you mean there though.

Likewise, Beloved Zofia being completely unbreakable is directly against the signup rules, so that would have to go; it can certainly be tougher than a normal sword, but not unbreakable. It would also be nice to have some clarification about what the subdue effect does to the target: Does it knock them unconscious, or paralyze them while leaving them conscious?

Unrelated edit: 1337 post! Woo!

EDIT: Alright, checked through the tropes, and to no surprise the back story segment for Celica is accurate. The rest of the sheet seems accurate too, though I think there's a couple of things missing. She's apparently deeply religious, to the point of being somewhat of a fault, which isn't really mentioned in your sheet. Also that she much prefers peaceful, diplomatic solutions when able, which is sort of alluded to in your sheet, but I think could maybe stand to be clarified a bit more.

I think not mentioning her faith is a side-effect of me originally planning to use post-game Celica. It kinda puts faith in a weird place when you've played your part of destroying the very gods you worship. Of note, I also forgot to mention her constant wandering thoughts of Alm, but something something it was 5am.

As for Thunder itself, every FE game has visible and sometimes audible incantations. You might not see the Thunder coming, but you can sure tell Celica is casting a spell where you are. (I did forget to mention, Celica and all FE mages need to also use both hands to cast and must sheathe their weapons.) The point about it hitting quick is mostly about me trying to extrapolate the mechanics in a way that made sense (Thunder is a long-ranged spell, so I assumed it to be with tracking and travel time). I'm not sure how to do a Thunder spell without it actually striking from above - how do you suggest I can change it?

I can sure take the unbreakable sword bit and make it not an absolute. That's surely fine. The sword is tied into Celica's ultimate spell mind, so hopefully it can be repaired.

As for Subdue, it can basically safely inflict a disabling wound without killing. (In-game, it guarantees that if the strike would kill the target it leaves them at a single hitpoint which is mostly used to let someone else get the kill and gain experience - somewhat out of character for Celica and game-y anyway. But in one chapter with a hostile mage you do not want to kill, Alm having the same skill is endlessly useful because being at 1HP means mages cannot cast so I went more on the disabling/merciful bent of it.)

The thunder is supposed to strike from above? I thought you meant like Celica shooting a bolt of lightning from her hand. The problem is still the same though; if the time between the spell actually firing (Which is not counting casting time / incantations.) and hitting the target is literally instantaneous, then it's still breaking the rules. Now, I mean literally instant; if there's even a small window, then it's possibly fine. So long as said window isn't still so small that dodging it might as well be impossible. Whether that means the lightning arbitrarily traveling slower, or just removing the spell.

As for subdue, "basically safely inflict a disabling wound without killing" is still pretty vague, and doesn't quite answer what I was really asking; it doesn't make it clear to me what's supposed to be happening when she uses it. She just slashes at them like normal, but it's guaranteed not to kill them, somehow, because magic? And yes, the whole concept of leaving someone at "1 HP" in critical existence failure style doesn't really mesh well with the RP; it is indeed too arbitrary and video gamey.

I'll drop the spell, makes life simpler and I'd have to find out my DS and check the animation. Basically, all I remember is it makes noise then strikes. I'm trying to make her more of a support party member anyway (which is why Recover is kinda given an out-of-fight role)

and yes, Subdue is visibly normal with no given explanation to how it works - so I'm assuming it's some kind of blessing that allows Celica to be sure to leave her target alive, although I suppose a disable would be more based in how and where she strikes.

EDIT: You know what, screw it. It's easier to say it K Os an opponent if it would otherwise kill them. Sometimes, that mercy is not affordable, but it's there.

As I mentioned before, if you haven't already before jumping in, you should read the first post of the main thread to see what Celica's arrival should be like. You should also check out the first post of the discussion thread to see the current day conditions, and the notes about what the city is normally like and such. I'll probably rework Hector when the character I'll be playing as first dies. Or not. Let's see where this goes.

  • Story: Mega Man Zero 2 (late game, before battle)

  • Age, gender, and species: Unknown (likely under 100), M, Reploid
    • Reploids are basically androids who have the freedom to defy the Three Laws of Robotics, but are labelled as a "Maverick" for doing so. Mavericks are viewed as outlaws and have to be "retired" as soon as possible.

  • Appearance: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/megaman/images/e/e7/Z2_scene_05.gif/revision/latest?cb=20100726235829

  • Personality: Elpizo has a strong sense of self inadequacy and seeks power to rid of that feeling. When he does get power, Elpizo is also a megalomaniac, letting power rush to his head easily. He becomes very arrogant when he gains confidence, which becomes overconfidence quickly. He hates humanity save for a very select few. Elpizo also loves organized plans, yet gets overwhelmed when they break down. He also has high intelligence and some knowledge of military strategy.

  • Back story: Formely a common Reploid named TK-31 living in the dystopian city of Neo Arcadia, he found out forbidden information about the Elf Wars. This led to a general of Neo Arcadia, Harpuia, finding out about it and threatening TK-31. With this information, TK-31 assumed the name Elpizo and escaped the city to lead the Resistance with help from genius scientist Ciel, the only human Elpizo likes, and Zero, the legendary hero of the Elf Wars and weapon of the Resistance. After a disastrous raid on Neo Arcadia with a heaping load of survivor's guilt, Elpizo stole a machine known as a Baby Elf, found its twin, and assaulted Neo Arcadia once more. He sought after a weapon called the Dark Elf to feed him more power to destroy humanity with the Baby Elves corrupting him.

  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Can make mechanical beings do his being, likely low powered without the Baby Elves feeding his power. (Low to no intelligence machines basically, and not a lot at a time).
    • Can stab multiple times while rushing forward.
    • Adept enough at swordplay to block some frontal attacks.

  • Items:
    • Laser Rapier: Elpizo's weapon of choice. The blade itself is unbreakable but can be deactivated if the hilt is broken. (This part is only assumed information so the weapon can be able to be broken).

If I need to make any adjustments, let me know.

@Inaccurate Prophecy: Again, you forgot the name field entirely. After story, before age, gender, and species.

Now, I have not played through any of the Mega Man games and I know from previous signups that my friends haven't played through the X or Zero games so I just went straight to the character trope entry. Your sheet seems accurate in personality and back story, though also somewhat basic; the only thing I'd say seems off is that from what I read, his desire for power is because of an extreme paranoia, not self-inadequacy; perhaps he has both and they play into each other though?

As for the skills you put, your wording and what you focused on both seems odd to me. For one, I saw no indication in his character tropes that he can either make machines do his bidding or create machines. (As I'm not sure if your typo, "make mechanical beings do his being" was supposed to be, "make mechanical beings do his bidding" or "make mechanical beings to do his bidding".)

And then, "Can stab multiple times while rushing forward." Well, technically just about anyone with a blade weapon can do that, or at least try to. Some elaboration on what is meant here would be nice. Is it a particular move where he dashes forward while stabbing repeatedly? Or is it just that he's good at stabbing repeatedly even while moving?

Also, the laser rapier, I'm not even sure why you brought up the unbreakable thing; why not just say that it's a laser sword and be done with it? And for the record, the caveat of the handle being breakable does not excuse the blade being unbreakable; breaking the rules is still breaking the rules. Yes, it would be practically unbreakable since it's just energy, and take extreme circumstances to "break" the laser part of the sword, (probably some kind of intense countering energy field or manipulation) but it would still be possible.

But lastly, this is a kind of character that I highly recommend not playing; at least not from the point of time that you seem to be taking him from. It seems like it would be out of character if he did anything but immediately start killing every human he sees once he arrives at the city, which would result in most of the cast doing to him what I've been calling, "the hero dog-pile". Playing a character that does nothing but just get into violent conflict with others with no nuance to it wouldn't be that fun to play as, (unless you find the idea of getting stomped into the dirt and basically becoming unable to do anything meaningful "fun") nor are they very interesting to deal with for the other players.

Oh, and also because of the respawn rules, you know you don't have to switch character once/if your character dies, right? They wouldn't be dead for good.

Hey look! It's yet another little girl with a knife!

  • Story: The Witch's House (Taken from before the end of chapter 1 of the prequel novel The Diary of Ellen).
  • Name: Ellen.
  • Age, gender, and species: Seven-year-old human girl.
  • Appearance: Ellen is a pale girl with long purple hair and gold-colored eyes. She wears a plain white dress, a red ribbon on her hair, and she has no shoes. Her skin has large areas full of red crumbly rashes, and most of her body is covered in bandages.
  • Personality: Ellen is a very troubled girl. Her illness has caused her to develop a deep desire to receive affection from others, yet she also possesses a deep inferiority complex that makes her believe there is no way for her to be loved by anyone, and she holds great resentment towards both of her parents because of this. However, Ellen can be compassionate and very determined when she has a goal in mind. She is also smart and perceptive, specially when it comes to other people's feelings, and due to recent events she has become self-sufficient to a small degree.
  • Backstory: Ellen was born in a poor family with a terrible incurable disease. Daughter of a drug addict that did not even look at her and a mother that was growing too tired of looking after a terminally-ill child, Ellen's innermost desire was to be loved by both of her parents, to the point where she gave up on leaving her house simply to keep her mother pleased. However, she saw a black cat she admired dead outside of her window, so she snuck out of her house to bury it properly with her own hands. Unfortunately, her mother arrived early from work, and Ellen was busted the moment she set foot into the house. The woman left the house shortly after, without an explanation or a letter, which in turn caused her husband to lock himself in his room for days at a time. Ellen, convinced that her mother would return, began to look after herself and attempt to be the best possible daughter so her mother would love her again. But while her mother did return one night, she did it in the middle of the night, in an attempt to pick up some of her belongings to leave for good and start a new life with a rich man. After noticing her and realizing her betrayal, Ellen picked up a knife and stabbed her violently and repeatedly. The ruckus was loud enough to lure Ellen's father out of his room, where he found the aftermath of what happened. Ellen, who at that point hoped her father would at the very least be furious at her for what she'd done, was completely devastated when once again he completely failed to acknowledge her existence, causing her to murder him out of desperation as well. It was only then that Ellen realized what she had done, and began to tear at herself with her hands, but she was forced to stop when she realized that her father's pipe had caused a fire to break out, leaving her no other choice but to run out into the cold night.
  • Skills/powers/abilities: None.
  • Items: A knife used for crafts. Sharp enough to be used as a stabbing weapon.
  • Other: Ellen does not know how to read or write. Ellen's illness worsens with time, is incurable through conventional means, and its symptoms are irreversible. It can, however, be treated, and its progress can be slowed down with the right medicine.

  • Story: Overwatch (Right after the Dragon Slayers comic.)
  • Name: Reinhardt Wilhelm
  • Age, gender, and species: Sixty-one, Male, Human.
  • Appearance: Justice will be done. (Is exactly seven foot, four inches or two point twenty three meters tall.)
  • Personality: Reinhardt is a man from a bygone era. A modern knight, a classic gentlemen, and a unfaltering hero. Jolly, outgoing, loyal, protective, hopeful, and brave, Reinhardt is the beacon of justice and valor no matter where he finds himself and just like the knights of old that he styles himself off he will never would back down from protecting the innocent, the weak, the downtrodden, and especially his friends, being willing to take several bullets for all of them. Part of that is just Reinhardt being Reinhardt but another part of that comes from his old age and his refusal to slow down from it. He would rather die fighting the good fight than in some retirement home. Also, he can be kind of.........crazy. Like thinking a gang he was dealing justice to was a band of dragon men. He's a old man with a lot of imagination.
  • Back story: A highly decorated German soldier, Reinhardt took part during the Omnic Crisis, a robot uprising that swallowed the world in death and destruction, as a Crusader, a German military force of big dudes in awesome armor, which would lead him to become one of the founding members of the OG Overwatch strike team. Him and his team members worked together to stop the Omnic Crisis and they went down in history as international heroes, protectors, and peacekeepers. Reinhardt would work in the now international Overwatch group as it's strongest supporter and critic when needed but as the years went by he grew older and older and thus he was sent into forced retirement. Now outside of his beloved team, Rein could only stand by as the organizational became corrupt and finally disbanded with any future Overwatch related action being classified as illegal. But he didn't step down and he wouldn't stay idle while the world needed heroes. Taking his armor he traveled around Europe and assisted all just like the old times, a example of this being when he took down the Dragon gang and freed a town from it's horrible control.
  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Crusader: Being a member of the German paramilitary organization, Reinhardt is a capable fighter and highly skilled with blunt weapons. Plus he's huge af and thus he's strong and tough. Not super humanly strong and tough mind you. Strong and tough like a huge skilled soldier would be.
    • Old Age: Alas, while he still kicks all kind of ass at his age Rein still is feeling the effects of age mostly in the form of a blind eye and a bad back. Doesn't effect his combat skills really but it still sucks when flexing causes his back to act up.
    • Charge: Using the back thruster on his armor Reinhardt can launch himself into a charge. While doing this locks him in a mostly forward direction with only a slight ability to turn right or left, the payout for doing this is when he pins a target which does big damage to the pinned person if Rein hits a wall or any other solidly placed object and also keeps them unable to do anything until either Rein hits something, reaches the max Charge length of fifty-five meters, or they do something to escape the pin (teleport, turn into liquid, become tiny, are just too strong to be pinned, and whatever reason depending on character powers and skills). Requires a second or two in order for Rein to start the charge, moves him at a increased rate of about sixteen meters per second, being stunned (something like a stun grenade or a equal force charging at him) will stop the charge, and a ten second cooldown is required between each charge. As well the charge is fast but not super duper fast and thus can be dodged and if the target is much, much more bigger than Rein then not much of a pin can happen, you know?
    • Fire Strike: Rein whips his hammer forward and fires out slings a flaming projectile which pierces and damages anyone it touches. Can pass through people, energy barriers, and other destructible objects, but will stop at something like a wall or car. Requires a moment to sling the projectile, travels at around twenty-six meters per second, and has a six second cooldown.
    • EARTHSHATTER!: Slamming his hammer into the ground Rein knocks down and slightly damages all enemies in a frontal cone of force in front of him. Reaches to twenty meters and has a small vertical range of two meters. As well it can be blocked by barriers such as Rein's shield for example. Now, while normally this ultimate move needs a energy charge gained from fighting but because of the Writers influence Earthshatter has one use per day. That way it's simple to track.
  • Items:
    • J08 Crusader Armor: This bad boy is what grants most of the abilities that Rein has above. Is well armored and thus helps protect Rein but it's not indestructible and it's pretty old so damage given to it will require fixing at some point or else no more functional armor. Do note that it doesn't really improve Rein's speed or strength to any major degree. It's just damn good armor that gives Rein a slight edge. Enough to lift that huge heavy hammer around at least.
    • Hammer: It's a hammer. Almost as tall as Rein so it has a wide swing arc and its big. So it hurts. A lot. Like I said, it's a hammer. Do I need to explain more?
    • Barrier Field: By projecting the lion plate on his right arm Rein can form a broad, forward-facing energy shield. It's pretty tough but it can be whittled down pretty quick if really, really focused on but the shield does "heal" at a fast rate while not in use. Does slow Rein a bit but not by much. Blocks most projectiles but does not stop people from walking through it and melee, beam, and EMP attacks will go right through it. If broken the shield requires five seconds before it can be used but it will require even more time to get to fully healed status.
  • Other: Enjoys the classics. Like Hasselhoff! Can also be a bit of a fanboy and not a bad narrator.

@Light To All: Good to have you back. Unfortunately, I don't personally know Overwatch in depth all that much, and I can't get in contact with my friend who does. Because of what I've got going on tonight and tomorrow night, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to check the info on Reinhardt until after the Halloween break. So I apologize that you might be waiting a few days.

In the meantime there's one technical balance problem with the sheet. Reinhardt's charge being guaranteed to keep someone pinned and unable to do anything unless they're bigger than him would be against the rules. Even small characters hit by that should have the potential to become unpinned if they should be able to.

Oh that's fine. I can wait a bit. And yeah, if they got like a ability that can make them turn into slime, a stun ability they can use while pinned, are just fucking too strong to be trapped in the pin, or any list of reasons, they can get out. Which I have edited plus a small change to note that the armor does make Rein slightly stronger. Just enough to make using hammer doable.

@Light To All: Alright, I managed to read through Reinhardt's character tropes tonight. Nothing about the sheet seems incorrect, but there's a few things missing that I think would be worth mentioning.

The biggest being that it's shown that Reinhardt is not quite as unstoppable, strong, and overall ubermensch as your sheet seems to suggest, and that his old age is starting to affect him. He's blind in one eye, and seems to have a back problem; neither of which seems to slow him much in combat, but are certainly still there.

The next being that one of the stories about him shows that he, at best, has a very vivid imagination, or at worst, is literally delusional and thinks he is actually a medieval knight fighting dragons, rather than metaphorically one.

And then on more minor notes, he apparently has a bit of a fanboy-like streak, and is also a fairly good narrator.

Hmmmmmmmm, yeah. I'll edit in Old Age under skills and note the blind eye and bad back. Try to make it clearer that Rein is less Iron Man mixed with Captain American and more just a kickass but regular solider.

True true on this part. Really has shown up in the Dragon Slayer comic but then again, that's the only comic Rein has. So yeah. Will at least note that Rein's mind can kind of go crazy lol.

And these I will just note under Other but still good points.

EDIT: Ok, made a comment that he's strong and tough for a soldier of his size and not strong and tough in a insane super human way, made a section about his age, added on to the personality section about him being a bit crazy in the head at times, changed the armor from "heavily armored" to "well armored" to make it more clear that the thing ins't like wearing a tank or anything like that, and added the minor little details into Other since that stuff is really less personality or skills and more like occasional traits he shows.
