Aye, the current is not good. Suggestion is better IMO.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI prefer Charlie Chaplin for being something of a Trope Maker.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"If it actually looked funny I would agree but really those pics are not really funny.
"Looking funny" is not what this trope is about. The trope is about a specific portrayal, not its audience perception.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman'Treating him like a joke' and 'emphasis on wackiness'. implies some kind of comedic portrayal.

Yes, and it shows in the images. "Not funny" does not matter however at all.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI would like the second part of the op. Usually I like collages, but two pics like this does not quite sit well with me. But I like him with the globe ball. Great illustration of the trope. The pics from Producers could go to image links subpage.
I like the first part of the OP better. 3 also works.
Check out my fanfiction!1.1 and 3.1 work well for me.
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..1.1 works for me.
1.1 is good.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?1.1 > 3.2. > the others.
I'll go with 1.1.
(Annoyed grunt)Yeah, 1.1 is good.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.1.1. for me as well.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"That's enough consensus for 1.1; it's up and tagged, and the old pic and the other suggestions are on an Image Links page. Keep the old caption ("Heil silliness!"), a new one, or none?
That's a good caption. After all, it demonstrates the point of this trope: A spoof of the Nazi regime.
I'm good with the old caption.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I'm good with the old caption, but I'm just throwing it out there:
"Heilarity ensues."
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Pfffft...that's got my vote.
Sure.
Check out my fanfiction!^^^ I prefer that as well.

The image for Adolf Hitlarious has no source, and besides that, only has a painting of Hitler with a moustache photoshopped on. Perhaps there should be an image from The Great Dictator, which shows a pastiche of Hitler doing silly things:
