Poor Image: Kavorka Man

Kavorka Man has been recently turned into No Real Life Examples Please. However, the current image shows a Real Life person, Henry Kissinger.

So, we need a fictional person who suits the trope. Maybe a picture of the Trope Namer, Kramer from Seinfeld? ^note (unfortunately, I personally haven't watched the show, so I don't know whether there are any good screenshots that illustrate this trope)

Wolverine would be a good option, but something that makes his face a little more clear would be better.

'Allo 'Allo! has a good example in the current page image. I think a good cast photo◊ would be better there.

I agree, the Allo Allo example is better than Wolverine, it's more clear. Many people might not know that Wolverine is supposed to be rather unattractive in-universe (especially those who mainly know the character via Hugh Jackman ).

I'm not really sure what that shows, but I don't think it's the trope. The defining trait of the Kavorka Man is being unattractive, not immature.

Yeah, I think swapping the Allo Allo images would improve both pages.

I actually prefer the One Piece suggestion, since the guy is more obviously ugly. The cast shot in @3 is a better image for the work page, though.

^ Even so, the One Piece one is actively misleading because he looks like a Manchild first, ugly dude second. It suggests that the women in his presence are attracted to him in spite of his childishness as opposed to in spite of his looks.

He's still obviously unattractive, so I don't see how it's "actively misleading".

The guy in Allo Allo is not handsome, but he's not actually that ugly. More like Hollywood Homely, in my opinion.

^ The same could be said for the current person depicted◊. Being a Kavorka Man doesn't require one to be unbelievably hideous, and it's still by far a secondary trait to that character's childish appearance.

Huh. I thought the page image used to be something else, but I think I might have confused it for another page.

There's no need for snark. Remember the #1 rule.

It's a fair point because Kissinger wasn't so hideous that people would flee in terror. The current exaggerates his looks with a combination of bad quality and low-lighting images and at an advanced age—the last of which says more about Dirty Old Man than it does this trope, really.

I'm not snarking. I honestly remembered the page image of this trope depicting a much uglier guy than the current one, but I digress.

I thought that the point of the trope is the guy is far more popular among the ladies than he should be. Lack of appearance is one reason, but an unpleasant personality can contribute to it as well. So the fact that the One Piece guy is childish as well as ugly (for me) is a plus, rather than a detriment to the image as a whole.

I like Allo Allo's current caption on Kavorka Man. Voting for a replacement for the work page could be done here, I suppose.
