I tend to agree, but there's enough similarities between the two in the pic that's up now that it makes sense to me, plus the reaction of the one in the foreground and the expression and posture of the one facing us really work for me. Quality could be better, though.

I prefer the woman. They clearly look the same, and her reaction adds to the other one not being something normal, like a twin or other mirror image. Don't see a quality issue at all.
The other one looks like it could be any of several twin tropes.

That gif just looks like twins. I'm really partial to the reaction in the current image. It really helps sell the trope.
